《Dreams of the Aasimar Cleric》Scrying

A dream: There is darkness all around you and you feel the dampness, almost as if you were underground the only source of light is a small sphere of gently illuminated crystal that gently sheds its light over this great space. It seems the very walls of this cave are moving as the light glints off the beings in the cave.
"Does It yet realize what it has done, Nummur?" a booming voice slowly hisses from the darkness. It is in no rush with its words and the pace of its speech reflects such.
Another voice, seemingly this Nummur, answers with the same tempo and hushed hissing whispering tone. " Of course not, The fool."
Everything in the cave seems to shift uncomfortably as the answer comes.
Nummur, speaks once again to the ones gathered here. "Shall we see then see what It is doing?" a large taloned maw reaches forth and over the small sphere of light. As the colors shift an image begins to appear inside the lighted sphere. Dozens of shined reflections of eyes peer into the small sphere.
A human wrapped in bandages sits inside a small room next to a small bed at a table a book splayed out before him. He seems to be writing with one hand as the other tracks along the pages of the book.
You once again you hear the booming, hissing voice of Nummur, "Do you see Zavrunet, it presumes to read the Deep words and know their meaning."
A echoing laugh fills the space shaking the stone walls, as Zavrunet roars jesting at the small creature it sees before it. "Yes, NummurI see why you call it, the fool. It would almost be better for one of the tiny greenskinned ones to have found that book."

A third voice speaks up, somewhat shyer than the first two. "So it does not know it has awakened the children?"
"No," the first two, Nummur and Zavrunet, answer back in unison, Nummur continues "It thought to bring forth some great Daemon and perhaps bind it or beg it to grant it great power. It has instead without its direct intent awakened the children, Frygae. "
The third voice, Frygae, in its hissing whispering tone, responds "How can it not know?"
"It presumes to read the Deep words and know their meaning," Nummur responds "You read to me the title of the book it has, and read for us all what it has scratched out with its other hand."
Almost ashamedly, Frygae begins to read, in the same slow hissing whispering tone it has always spoken in. "On the awakening of Dr...... Dr......, Must I say that word?
Zuvrunet laughs again, shaking the cavern with the noise of it. "Skip over it then."
Frygae continues, "It has scratched onto the page "How to raise a great demon."
You can see in the shifting light of the sphere as the man stands up and walks to the door, the view of the sphere follows him into another room, there are more humans here, some wearing simple clothes and some with strange symbols etched into their skin. They all gather in a circle as the man begins to speak. You cannot understand the words his is speaking, it is almost as if he is speaking in another language or as if you were underwater hearing his voice coming from above the surface. The group of men all seem to repeat the sounds made by the one they have been watching.
The great clawed maw of Nummur once again raises over the sphere and the light returns to s simple shimmering white. As it does this Nummer speaks, not just to the two but as if to a group.

"It has done something without knowing and we can hardly fault the simple for their small minds. I put to you however that It should be stopped before it tried the ritual again and more of the children are awakened before their time."
A roar of many voices erupts all at once, some in agreeance and some in disagreeance, the noise is so great that your ears begin to ring and it causes your head to hurt. This seems to pass through the veil of sleep and you awake, your ears still ringing at the hearing of such a loud and violent sound.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
