A dream: you feel yourself in a dark place. No light that you can see. You can hear whispers, distant, quiet. The sound of something dripping into a pool. A smell, damp old, the odor of iron in the air. The whispers are getting louder, they are all around you. A torch sparks to life, then another then another. People all around you in long robes. Your hands, your hands are bound. You can see a large five point star drawn in the ground, with you at the center. They whispers get louder, you can almost make out what they are saying, if only they weren’t all speaking at the same time. One of the figures pulls a large tome from his robe and places it on a lectern. He opens it and appears to be reading from it. You don’t what he is saying. As he reads the sign marked into the grown begins to glow slightly. You try to scream out but you can feel a wet leather gag in your mouth and only a muffled scream escapes. The man stops his reading and as he does the faint glow on the ground turns to a spark then flame. The whole marking on the ground with growing intricate details burns in a bright red flame. The man approaches and pulls a wide dagger from his belt. As he begins to speak again he waves the blade in front of you. You catch a glimpse of your reflection in the polished blade. You do not see your glowing eyes or dark hair. Instead the face you see is a teenage girl, blonde hair and brown eyes, streaks coming down from them where dirt sticks to the tears. The man’s tone quickens, he raises the knife into the air holding it up for all to see. In that instant the dream ends
