《Mythical Legion of Hades》Book 1 Chapter 8 Introduction

The Legions Tomb as Xia Fang called it resembled something like a Roman Pantheon it had a minimalistic design, for the God of Wealth Hades it didn't seem to suit him, there were inscriptions carved on top "Sepulchrum Legio". The building itself didn't seem to resonate anything unlike the automatons or the camps aura, the pillars seemed to be made of marble yet they never seemed to show age or weathering.
Natalia held her breath taking in the simplistic beauty and the contrasting library ravens. She thought to herself it really befits a tomb, nothing special or outlandish as everyone is in death. " Xia Fang lets go explore then shall we." she remarked.
Xia Fang took the lead as she guided Natalia to the entrance. The inside was breathtaking, the ceiling seemed to never end, it portrayed the planet of Pluto and its surrounding celestial bodies, countless stars and meteors zoomed past overhead it seemed all of space was visible just from the ceiling. " The ceiling was created by Hades himself, this is the only building he participated in creating, in fact the materials themselves were personally taken from the Underworld and its rivers." Xia Fang commented
As Natalia walked further in she saw dozens of guards neatly lined up leading to a massive archway, they had their pilas ready and their shields raised all of them standing straight, not a single man moved his head a testament to their discipline and experience. Natalia notice how they had a slightly different armor set appearing to be heavier with plates covering their hips and full face plates on their helmets. Around them dozens of demigods relaxed on the numerous marble benches conversing and appreciating the view from above. The couple proceeded to the libraries staggering 15 meter entrance taking in the surreal view as they went.
"Natalia, those guards belong to the 1st legion, 1st cohort personally under Mikael, they are the real veterans of the Titan war serving for more than 60 years losing comrades and walking the fine line of death. The cohorts name is a testament to their history and our history in fact it's the same name our legion is called "The Devil's Tragic Story", you can always count on them to get you out." Xia Fang explained in a respectful admirable tone, clearly she admired to be part of their ranks. As they walked down the marble staircase Natalia could see that the walls were glowing and providing the light, they went past demigod after demigod as the temperature got colder and colder. After what seemed like half an hour of walking they came across another archway. This time however it was richly decorated, exotic plants wrapped around it and gold veins could be seen coursing through the ore pillars. Here one could see Hades had displayed his wealth.

Xia Fang guided Natalia to an empty table.
"Amazing isn't it to think a God personally created this with the help of demigods and mortals, now I'll continue from last night." clearing her throat she continued on in a serious tone "Our world was created after the fall of Greece in 146 BC, unknown to the conquering Romans they had severely weakened the demigods and the 12 major gods. Gaia seized the initiative and stormed the depths of the Underworld battling Hades, Zeus and Athena, eventually shattering the shackles of Tartarus. The remnants of the Greek army and the armies of Rome would eventually succeed in stalling Tartarus and with the help of the Gods sealed off this world from mortals and entrusted us in defending both our demigod world and the mortal world. "
Not even hesitating Xia Fang gravely warned:
"Natalia, you will be sent to a training camp however this is voluntary, if you wish you can be sent outside this dimension and live in the world of mortals, however you will lose all memory of you being a demigod and your past experiences. Now Natalia I wish to know what do you want to follow? You can join the demigod army or proceed to leave?."
Immediately following this Natalia pronounced "I want to join, I don't have anyone in the mortal realm, I wish to know what crimes I have committed, and rise the ranks so that only I can decide my punishment." Her eyes sparkled with determination and willpower seemingly ready for combat.
"Good, good a Hades Legionnaire never backs down, now listen you will be sent out 2 weeks from now at the start of the Autumn Equinox and endure a harsh 6 weeks of basic training and them picking a specialized cohort and endure another 6 weeks, if you qualify for elite cohorts you will be given the option to start a 5 week course that will break you down." Xia Fang had emphasized on the hellish training that was about to come even then Natalia didn't waver. "Make sure I see you in the heavy Infantry." Soon the conversation talked about what to expect.
"What are weapon arts" asked Natalia
"Well they are the signature skills of the army, they help greatly boost your survivability (is this how you spell it??) rates and grow in power as you rank up, They place enormous burden on your body as they scale in power and destructiveness most of the time we train in the same ranked weapons and combat arts that match our rank for example rank three's train in rank three arts, its possible to push the limit and train one step above but that depends on your aptitude and physical body."

"Seems very well organized and structured, how does one know when they are capable of practicing and ranking up?"
"Well the combat arts have minimum requirements and most of the time the person knows when they have achieved those and applies for promotion, that comes with time so be patient."
"How powerful are the commanders like Legate Mikael, if hes Rank 6, I mean he's close to commanding two legions and godhood?"
"Unimaginable, they are the pillars of the legion and possess immense reputation and combat prowess, they alone can potentially rival half the legion, their battles are not for us to participate in." Xia Fang solemnly said, "The thing that sets them apart from the others is the fact they have a Unique Combat Art only belonging to them, their arts have been acknowledged as potential to be a god art. Mikael was able to become what he is today because of his Art."
Natalia sat in silence as she digested the new information while speculating just how devastating a battle of that scale would be.
Xia Fang continued after awhile and said "There are much more dangerous elements in the mortal world Natalia. Combat training is in 2 months so keep asking your questions and I'll do my best."
...
2 months later.
The brisk autumn temperature provided a comforting feeling as Natalia waved goodbye to her fellow bunk mates. In two months she made friends and enjoyed just about everything from war games to spectating, to the arms and armor rooms. She was on a war ship about to set foot on the open seas, as the guards escorted her friends out she was met with a yell. "DROP YOUR ARMOR SETS BELOW DECK AND LEAVE YOUR SWORDS AT YOUR SIDES, COME OVER HERE TO THE BOW"
Immediately the 50 plus demigods scrambled below decks and upon reaching the cabins a quartermaster yelled "YOU HAVE 1 MINUTE TO PICK A BUNK, DROP YOUR ARMOR AND LINE UP AT THE BOW GO." , this gave way to even more struggling as Natalia was pushed and shoved, some unlucky recruits fell and scrambled to even get up. Eventually finding a bunk Natalia bolted up the stairs and fell inline. "It seems like I got lucky to find a bunk so quickly looks like I'm in the middle of formation." afterwards the chaos settled down in less than 3 minutes before it began.
"I am the captain of this ship named Black Heart, I am Tribune Wellgo of the 5th Cohort Siege Corps and your training begins now. All those at the first 5 lines congratulations you have earned the duty of pushing my vessel out of the docs and into open sea, those at the back you are responsible for latrine duties and cleaning duties, I never want to hear a word of complaint" a deathly feeling came over the demigods covering them in cold sweat. The captain's eyes were a shade of dark blue and his tan skin made them even more horrendous stare at, his muscles were well toned and his jaws looked liked they were enough to crush steel. His cold attribute reflected on his wicked shamshir and gave him a sword (pun ;D) of exotic personality.
There were no complaints raised after the demigods saw him and all of them proceeded to do their assigned duties. Natalia fell into the first group and was led down by a crew member to the bottom decks, they were assigned an oar and two other partners, soon the 30 demigods were all waiting for commands. "I am the first mate, you are to follow my directions to the teeth unless you wish to condemn you and this ship to death. We will switch every 5 Hours each day for a total of 10 hours. You will be rowing 4 days non-stop and will be served sea rations every break for a total of 3 meals a day. 2 days will be reserved for briefings and the last day will be your break. The total journey is 3 months, the destination is Sicily Island, there you will meet the armies of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. Now Begin." he commanded.

Rise of the First Necromancer
Asrael Nessarat awakes on a sandy dune with a mouthful of sand and nothing but tattered rags in his posession. As the High Magus of the school of Necromancy, he once aspired to prove to the Emperor that magic still held a place in their society. But that day came, passed and inevitably accelerated his kind's downfall. Now; they are hunted, strung up and burned on pyres throughout the Empire by the Emperor's holy Inquisition- an efficient and ruthless army hell-bent on bleeding every last droplet of magic from the lands. With nothing but a mouthful of sand and tattered rags; Asrael is determined to seek the one thing his cold, still heart desires. Vengeance. This story can, at times, get very dark. It is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is not a story of an overtly powerful wizard who can pulverize his enemies from across the world, nor is it in any way, shape or form a joyous tale. We follow Asrael as he and his companions explore and seek to change an unjust world, where kindness and acceptance are exceptions, rather than the rule. If you are looking for a story to inspire hope or joy, this is not it. If you wish to read about likeable, heroic people, turn around. If you wish to see good battle evil, where the cut in between is clear, then this is not for you.

As a first time writer, I'd love some constructive criticism as well as general comments about my work as a whole. This story is something I've been kind of thinking about for the better part of a few months and I actually got anxious enough to attempt to put it in writing. Releases may be sporadic as I'm currently in school, and chapter lengths will vary depending on how much I feel i need to write to get my point across. The tags are temporary and may change. I plan on using a cultivation/mana system as this will be somewhat of a crossover

The Fate of The Summoned (being ReWritten)
The Fate of The Summoned In the world of Aethion things are vastly different than on Earth. There is Magic and Monsters, as well as Demons and Dragons. Throughout the history of the world there have been many wars, both between all the various nations and kingdoms and between those nations and kingdoms and the Demonic forces lead by a Demon King or Lord. There are times that the Demons gain so much more power than the other nations, or that the others are embroiled in a war against each other and the lone nation is targeted by the demons. It was during these occasions that the various Gods and Goddesses started giving two things to the races. The First of these things were the Blessings, magical blessings given to the worth for chosen things. The Second of these things were the Summoning rituals, magic rituals that could summon beings from somewhere else, that would be Chosen, by the gods. These beings have almost always come from our world, Earth. It has been centuries since this practice began and the countries of the world have almost always flourished for a time after a Chosen or group of them were Summoned. All of the countries treat the Summoned well, almost like kings or princes in their own right. Well, not all countries, there are some that have treated them almost like slaves, though those countries don’t usually last long. There is one though, that has lasted, for a long time due to their connection to their Patron Deity, the Goddess of Light. They only accept certain types of Summoned and they dote on certain members of the country more than others. Several years ago they performed a summoning, as they were being plagued by overflow from the dungeons. Now they, like the other countries of Aethion, have performed the ritual to fight against the current Demon King, who is said to possess a Blessing. This is a story about Fate, and those that fight against it and those who accept it. In this story the main character(s) do not fight their fate, like those in my other story, rather they embrace it and let it shape them, though that does not mean they are total slaves to it. While there will be similarities to most other Hero sumoning novels, i hope the Mcs abilities and such will make it unique.
