《The Courts Divided》26.2 - The Commoner’s way of Entering

A beseeded Order still in her nightgown and an Oa who leans into the halls to fit inside rush down to the grand royal tearoom, the very-same place in which the legendary High Tea is to take place.
Now in the light Order can, for the very first time, gaze upon the monstrosity that is running by her side. It is wearing a skull many times larger than herself and a great, grey coat of frayed wool that conceals its body from the neck down; it could fit anything in there. She also notes that it has not a single pair of tunnel-sized sleeves, but four pairs.
Reaching the grand doors to the tearoom, Oa raises a leg made from the trunks of great trees, the hearts of mountains, and the sinews of heroes to kick them through as if the doors are made of plywood. Splinters soar as the ancient passage protecting the room is blasted from its hinges, revealing the one chamber in the palace with a glass roof; as the first realmer’s instructed, they prefer having little obstruction when they make their decent.
Pitch and Tylvania, guarded by the great Faery, turn with wide, horrified expressions.
“By the giant’s bones. Dear Ranalie, what is the meaning of this? Why does this moving graveyard stand to your side!?” Pitch asks, arm twitching to hold him back from signaling the Faery to attack.
“BE SILENT AND PEACEFUL, WINGED ONE. WE HAVE A COMMON ENEMY IN OUR MIDST,” Oa says as its hand, a tangled thicket of flora and fauna, raises to command a halting of things.
“Oa’s right. We heard Overlord Chaos outside in the square,” Order says.
Pitch looks to Tylvania and shoos her off somewhere; they’ve grossly underestimated their need of force.
“And I would be amiss in assuming you know of what location does he now hold?” Pitch asks while Tylvania disappears past the two others.

“He said he was going to be here- probably listening in on us.”
“And we are to simply wait with this, the butcher of so many, to take arms together and battle the Black Overlord?”
“I don’t trust it either, but for now this is the best we’ve got,” Order says, sparing glances between Pitch and Oa to keep tabs on them. Pitch exhales forcefully and fearfully, allowing this only at the thought of Chaos’ nearness.
Without mention or motion, Oa feels a telepathic prick in its side; it seems as though the fairies outside are attacking the necromancers. Oa does not consider itself one to be caught-off guard, so it gives the mental order to its subjects to engage and hunt down anyone traveling to and from Liefholn keep; this should prevent word from reaching the chamber of the High Tea for the time being.

(Un)Paralleled
Based on the novel by MGHT, Unparalleled. Things are not as they were. In this alternate story, follow our Hero(?) as he traverses the world. But, is this world really the one we know? I will be using MGHT's original story as a guideline, and applying my own touch to it. Due to there being a lack of information on the wider scope of things, I'll be throwing in things that may not adhere to the original author's plans. Then again, what fun is there in reading something that has already been done? Tags and genres stated are subject to change without notice, be it the addition or removal of tags. Cover art is a fanart I found online a long time ago. Character is Gyuki from Nurarihyon No Mago.

Meanwhile, an ancient prophecy surrounding Nathaniel's best friend looms in the horizon, along with signs of a massive demon invasion from the south. Not only that, conspiracies haunt the very structure of Camiare. At the same time, Nathaniel must figure out the mystery behind the Ortus Project, the only hint he has about his mysterious rebirth. The Successor
The Immortal God Emperor is dead...yet his Successor will one day arise. The worlds had long moved on from the greatest Cultivator of all time. The things that had been achieved and the advances made in the Immortal God Emperor's absence were nothing to turn one's nose up at. And yet, something was always missing. Because Cultivators, no matter the goals they pursue, always bow to the greater power. They seek it, they covet it for themselves, and they serve it with reverence. Shan Kai Lan was born into such a world. Born to two herb farmers whose cultivation did not surpass the Foundation Realm, yet who loved their son more than anything. Kai Lan was a child blessed by the Spiritual Plain, far more gifted and more intelligent than others his age. Yet the more profound his achievements, the greater the likelihood that his happy, peaceful life would be trampled on by those who desired his potential for themselves. The question of Kai Lan's journey becomes not whether he will reach the highest peak of cultivation, but what he will be forced to do to keep his young Clan, and the happiness it provides, at peace. Note to Reader: I am not of an Asian background, but this work is heavily influenced by Eastern stories and concepts. In saying that, it is an INFLUENCE only. Keep in mind that this is a fantasy work, and any butchering of names, concepts or cultural objects/places/subjects are not meant in any way to offend. With that in mind, Happy Reading! - Jelim
