《Traitor's Creed》I'm Dead [Chapter 001]

'It's so dark...'
'Where am I...?'
'I remember... I was at school... in the classroom...ugh! '
I suddenly encounter a sharp pain going on in my head as a light source slowly comes into view. As I flail around I notice that I've lost my sense of touch...Er, not just my sense of touch but also my sense of smell...
Having nowhere else to go I decide to head towards the light, I don't feel my feet hitting the ground but in my head, I'm properly walking forward. It's a strange feeling but the growing brightness of the light ahead of me assures me that I'm at the very least moving forward.
As I reach the end of what I assume to be a wide tunnel, I see where the light is coming from, A small humanoid creature standing in front of a completely empty room. Its entire body was made out of blue flames, it was small enough that it could barely reach my waist if we stood side by side... It's kind of cute actually...
" Greetings traveler "
The voice of an elderly woman suddenly echoed inside of my head, I quickly flick my head to the side looking for the origin of the voice... After doing a 360 my eyes finally land on the Wisp like creature in front of me...
'Was that y-'
Before I could even finish my sentence the small blue wisp interrupted me, its tiny blue body floating upwards to meet me at eye level.
" Yes, that was me. My name is Lis and I am your assigned transmigration assistant into the world #1025, named Babylon. Since it seems you've calmed yourself- "
'Wait, wait! hold on! This is too much info for me to process all at once! Transmigration!? As in I died and you're transferring me to a new body? How'd I die!? What about my family? I was just at school and I-'

As I began rambling a sudden calming sensation washed over me, my frantically beating heart slowing down.
As my panic was gone, the thought of how crazy the current situation was still occupying the back of my mind...
" Your questions will be answered child, but one at a time... "
Right.. questions... Get my priorities right and ask the important ones first I guess
'Am I really...Dead? And if I am.. then how did I die?'
The wisp stood silent for a moment before a noticeable change occurred to its body, its flames that formed its head grew brighter, maybe that's what it looks like when it thinks...? Cute...
" Yes...And no" It'd pause for a moment before floating closer towards my face "A slight anomaly has happened between you and the world you're about to go to, or well I suppose it's better to rephrase myself... Your entire class physically died due to a blunder in a summoning ritual done on this side... by this side, I mean the planet Babylon "
'I see... So that means because of a failed summoning, we all died... This sucks.'
As I go to cover my face with my hands I notice something... I had no hands to cover my face with, nor legs to walk with. It was like I was a floating head!
"Indeed... Right now you're in a human's most basic form, a soul. "
'Wait... It, Er, She can hear my thoughts?'
" Yes. In limbo, no thought could be concealed. A soul will speak it's mind no matter what. It's a helpful way to determine what kind of person they really are. "
'I see... what about my classmates? You said my entire class was involved so that means they should be here as well right?'

The blue wisp shook its head lightly
" Only two souls managed to survive the aftereffect of the failed summoning, your soul barely manage to make it in one piece. The others are being reformed as we speak. "
'Two? Then where's the other one?'
" He's a bit.. problematic. He insisted on not communicating with us and stated that he did not want to cooperate with us either "
'Strange. What's his name?'
" This one is not aware of their Earth name. Although he is Traveler E-005. And you are Traveler E-006 "
'I see. So since there's twenty of us in class that means we'll be labeled as E-001 to E-020?'
The blue wisp shook its head once more before flying around me in a circle once.
" The numbering of your class will begin at E-005. The previous four travelers from earth have long perished and returned to the cycle of rebirth, but to honor their memory and merits, their existence will be recorded till the end of time. The same goes for your class"
I pause for a moment to take it all in
'Woah, that sounds... really important'
"Of course. Interdimensional travel is only achieved by a select few. In Earth, your home planet, the only way to achieve the status of traveler is to have devoted your entire life to spirituality. At the moment of their natural death, they will be awarded a chance to transmigrate with all their memories intact but into a newly born body. You could say it is a second chance in life."
The blue wisp would stop circling me, stopping at its original location
"There are a few exceptions to this of course. By the off chance that an accident is caused by the mismanagement of a different world's God then the victims will be compensated with a body similar to their old ones but improved in order to assure a long life in the other world."
'Improved how? With magic and stuff? Like those in the novels?'
"Indeed. The world you will be transferred to is filled with 'magic' but also danger. The gifts that will be given to you are all hand-picked by the god managing Babylon to fit your personal desires and attitudes."
'My desires...'
"Your true desires. May it be for good or evil, you all will be free to do what you want in that world"
As I stood in thought, a sudden feeling of warmth covered my entire body... Er, soul. My sight soon starts to fill with bright light, the soothing voice of the wisp slowly fading away.
"My father wanted to leave a message for you to pass on to those you trust in your group, remember..."
"The errand boy only delivers destruction..."
Those were the last words I heard from her before I was completely blinded by the bright light.

This Used to be About Dungeons
This Used to be About Dungeons is a comfy slice-of-life adventuring story that occasionally features dungeons. Updates Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Mostly it's about walking in the woods with a friend, looking for mushrooms to put in your soup, or haggling with the guy selling squash, or taking care of a neglected garden. It's putting some jam on shortbread biscuits. And yes, sometimes you go down into the dungeons with your friends, and you kill monsters there, or disarm traps, but when you come out, you realize you've found the perfect magic item to give to one of the local kids that helped you out when your cat was sick. Look, the dungeons are always going to be there, and sometimes you need to make a journey to one of the Spirit Gates, or make a pilgrimage with the local Cleric of Symmetry to a holy shrine. Your tour through the local dungeons can wait. You'll have rivalries with other groups, and find some dungeon eggs that need to be carefully incubated in case they turn out to be something valuable, and help a friend to build a fishing weir. There's a big world out there, a mostly tame place with lots of magic, and even more to do and see. Join me, won't you?The cover image is Morning Sunlight Effect, Eragny, by Camille Pissarro.

The Man who knew no Limits
The story follows the life of a man who gets teleported to another world with a strange power. And that is where the cliches end. Common morals do not apply to the man. He is crude. He will do what he wants: he will not shy from using cheap tricks if it leads to a situation favourable to him. He will not save a damsel in distress if he doesn't want to, even if it is as easy as lifting a finger. He may even cause the distress himself if he finds it amusing. He may reward those who please him, while trampling those who are annoying. But the man's life, by no means, will be easy. He shall be OP, but it will not be enough, for some things just cannot be controlled. Warning: Gore, profanity, explicit sexual content. =========================================== I have taken the image from some article. If the owner would like me to take it down, can please let me know.

This humorous, harem LitRPG story is the first story by experienced author Jamie Haremie under this pen name. Jamie has previously written horror and romance (sometimes together!) as well as tons and tons of riveting TPS reports. (Late 90s cultural reference? CHECK).
