In the streets of the city without law, three people walked in the shadows avoiding the prying eyes of the inhabitants.
The three brothers moved through the streets of the city, avoiding the lookouts of the various gangs, until they reached a specific area of the city without law.
This area of the city was characterized by being uninhabited and not being claimed by any gang.
In one of the largest buildings, very poor and full of holes, three people entered through one of the largest holes, they meticulously moved the rubble from the floor, until revealing a hidden door to the basement of the building.
The basement was a large place, neat and well lit, with a few pieces of furniture and four beds in one corner.
The lighting came from a hybrid generator, assembled by different parts and pieces that were not related. The generator was built by Hazel with the help of his brothers.
Hazel had a fondness for money and technology, for there was no electronic device that she could not repair and someone he could not cheat.
Inside the basement the temperature was high, very different from the cold weather that presented itself in the city.
"Pick up your clothes," Hermit instructs Hazel, seeing her throw his clothes to the floor.
Hazel to see the cold look of his brother, saying he does not allow rebuttal. go back to pick up your clothes.
"Today we get the big prize" says Hazel as he opens her backpack full of money.
"How much?" says Hermit when he sees the wads of bills, while he takes a dilapidated laptop that has been repaired several times.
Hazel with a petulant smile and full of pride says. "$ 4,246 of the greens". Look at Damiant "apparently no one was betting on you".

Hermit just nods his head and looks at Damiant expecting to see what he won for the fight.
"No ... .he ... .ha". Damiant did not know what to say to his brothers. He knew how important that money was to his family.
"How much?" says Hermit unperturbed by the discomfort of his brother.
"Yes how much?". Hazel take away his brother's backpack and look what's inside. "but that ... .. shit!"
"What do you think we can do with this !?" Hazel takes the white packets out of the backpack. "Prepare a cake!?"
"Sorry ... Brothers." Damiant says embarrassed.
"We need $ 5,000, and we only have one more week to get it," says Hazel annoyed as he points to Damiant.
"Find a solution ..." says Hermit unperturbed, while he continues reading on the laptop.
"A solution...". Hazel drills a small hole in one of the packages and tests its contents and smiles maliciously.
Damiant knew that when his brother smiles that way he does not bring anything good, the last time he smiled that way, they put a price on his head one of the big gangs and they had to move.
"Maybe you're not useless after all ..." Hazel says as he looks at Damiant. "Maybe we can save some green bills ..."
"Is it enough for the medical operation ...?" Hermit says with some regret and showing a glimpse of emotion.
Hazel seeing that the environment is heavy, says with joy "Yes, you do not worry".
"Then tomorrow we'll go to the hospital, we'll go out in the night." Hermit says impassively as he looks at his brothers.
"Yes, little brother" they say in chorus Hazel and Damiant.

The part where the hero meets their end surrounded by the enemy and in horrible agony. They were alone in their final moments and unsure if their sacrifice would bear fruit. I do not want that for you.” The Heavens created the Realm of Man and saved it from the eternal silence of the Void - once. Centuries later, humanity’s unity has fractured beneath the weight of time and the whims of man. Raegn Edelgard fights on in his home of Bastion, one of two everlasting fortifications to protect the Realm from the remnants of the darkness that still persist. A System Apocalypse Fan Fiction I started reading Litrpg about two years ago. I fell in love with Tao Wong's System Apocalypse series. He is an excellent writer and I loved his world building, but when the second series arc went elsewhere It kind of lost me a little. I wanted to create a little parallel world that was very familiar to his fans but skewed off in a different, darker direction. If you haven't read Tao's work, you're missing out! Look him up on Amazon and read The System Apocalypse. One of the best in the genre.
