《Desmend Dylan: How to Build A Kingdom》Chapter 22: Dragonborn

Desmend found himself floating above a huge green planet, a blue box in front of him.
Dungeon Clear
Congratulations! My boy (Also fixed my grammar because you kept complaining)
You've cleared a dungeon and unlocked its biodome! As you know, are pocket dimensions filled with rich mana and resources making monsters' existence a matter of course.

There are many more, but you get the idea.
Desmend just stares at the list in shock. He's never seen this much wealth before. As a white-collar criminal, he knows how much rubies can be worth. "Is that all?" he asks aloud with a laugh.
Rubes are the fourth most expensive mineral back in his world, and this world as well. Those red-coloured gems can fitch a price for about a cool mill per carat. Remembering seeing a cave full of them when on his month-long torture session. That would make this whole biodome worth more than a hundred billion dollars—and that's not counting the other ores, metals, and minerals here…
When he finished reading the message, he got a new one with the promised explanation about using LP to improve his status. He just decided to set them on auto. It's not like they are helpful to him.
"Hiya Desmend!" A woman voice called to him. The South African passus his reading and turned around.
"Damm..." Desmend says aloud, looking at the goddess herself. She is a beautiful woman with long black hair with snow white pale skin. Her dress has flowing sleeves that cover her arms, revealing only a little bit of the tattooed, muscular forearms.
"Is there a reason why you can't tell me this instead since YOUR RIGHT OVER!?" Desmend screams back at her.
"I am so sorry, but I cannot reveal my true form unless you've proven your devotion to me. Besides, you would not believe me anyway if I did."
"But I don't worship you.... Don't tell Tangerine I said that." The Chosen One said quickly because he was afraid that priestess would punish him for it.
"Yes, I know. But I require proof that you do. Please, take your time and think about what you need to show me."

"That you let me go home and some other handsome jackasses do all the work?" Desmend asks, hoping that's all it would take. "Because I don't want to be this again, and I'd rather be dead!"
The goddess raises an eyebrow, showing off her incredibly sharp nails.
"Like no..." The goddess denied and went back to her valley girl accent. She quite like her chosen champion. He is always so fun.
Desmend gored is arms forward in depression. Now he has to work some more. Great simply great, he thought. "Fine, give me something useful then."
"Just keep me entertained and we be good. Kay" The goddess replied. Before Desmend could even reply the goddess left quickly. "I hope you like my present~"
He shrugged and went to the screens. "Goddess Store"

To begin with, he had gotten a lot of LP from killing the monsters in the dungeon along with the boss but making sure he didn't get hit was annoying, but the prices Well are just criminal, the weapon and equipment prices were alright, but the rest...
He had to admit instantly recovering all his health, stamina and mana could save when he needed the most though. He would buy one of each, no matter the price. Only a fool would refuse potions to save LP.
Dark souls taught him better.
But buying the potions and crystals now would be stupid though. The potions took time to do their magic, so if he needed them, he would also have the time to buy them from the Goddess Store. Just knowing they were there was good enough.
He also has an Aura, and she is the best potion maker he knows.
The pills were a no go. Sure, some of his predecessors would have sacrificed their future for immediate gains and a way out of the hellish dungeon. Constant battles weren't for everyone. Many people would rather stay away from the world of battle and hardship that came with growing stronger.
The weapons and equipment were interesting. The weapons he borrowed (stole) from Clementine are very fragile. And yes, magic/vespa power like- steel can break. Katana were probably the hardest swords in the ancient world, but they were also brittle compared to other blades. Katana would hold up to cutting soft objects with little wear, but over time, the compressive force from hitting hard objects could lead to chips and cracks.
Desmend looked down to see his sword had been fixed, but he would have to go the royal blacksmith or Eliza if he damaged them again. If his sword broke, he would also need to pay for a new one, though he was glad he wouldn't need to go unarmed.
Martial arts and free running can only get you so far. Magic was a challenging thing for him to learn. He only knows two spells Physical Boost and Mana Shield.
Also, the items in the store didn’t offer equipment at a higher tier than G. She didn’t want him to get too comfortable or feel too protected.
Which means....
"More work" The Chosen One whined at the thought of how much more the other items would cost him.
Speaking of the equipment... "Inspect," he said while looking at them.
Simple Martial Arts Robe (G): Leather-Cloth Amor. Due to Vagabond Leather Armor Mastery: Increases Attack Speed, Physical Critical Chance, Strength, Perception, Dexterity, Max HP/MP, Vespa Recovery, and Vespa Casting speed.
The more Leather Armor you have equipped, the more powerful the skill's effects.
Increases Critical Chance more than normal Leather Armor Mastery.
Due Force Mage Cloth Armor Mastery: Increases Max HP/MP, MP Recovery, Magical Critical Chance, Casting Speed, Movement Speed, Intelligence, and Charmisa.
The more Cloth Armor you have equipped, the more powerful the skill's effects.
Increases Max MP, Casting Speed, and Spirit more than the general Cloth Armor Mastery.png Cloth Armor Mastery.
Enchantment: Anti-Wear (G)
A simple ancient martial arts robe given by Tangerine and Aura.
He hadn't thought about inspecting his equipment before. The Anti-Wear enchantment was nice, but the girls really did not give him more beneficial enchantments?
"Why is the Force mage main are Intelligence and Charmisa?" said Desmend looking at the description with confusion. At least this would explain why he is a good-looking battle-damaged fellow with nice tattoo and great hair.
The Nanobots were unique and powerful item. The store translation function let him know what nanobots were, and it was just incredible to think actual nanobots actually existed. He must get it. The powers of dragonborn are too good to pass up.
He thought of the last item in the store, the Learning Ability Upgrade, which he really wanted to get his hands on. His pain ,the dragon egg which increased his autistic brain, already helped him rapidly during the stages and the dungeon. Learning even faster would be amazing.
And that was it. Not an especially incredible store, but not a terrible one either. He expected to see better things in the late game.
"Buy Minor Refreshing Crystal and Minor Healing Crystal. The Dragonborn Nanobots Injection and Learning Ability Upgrade," he said, and the three objects materialized in front of him, floating in space.
Purchased: Minor Refreshing Crystal | -5,000 LP
Purchased: Minor Healing Crystal | -10,000 LP
Purchased: Dragonborn Nanobots Injection | -20,000 LP
Purchased: Learning Ability Upgrade | -50,000 LP
Remaining LP: 8,000
Each crystal was the size of a small mouse. The refresher was white, the healing was red. They sparkled beautifully, just like gemstones.
And he doesn't really remember Aura's instructions on how to use said items. They are also easy to break as glass he might need to store them.
"Buy recommended container for refreshing and healing crystals."
Purchased: Any Equipment (G) | -10 LP
Remaining AP: 7,990
What showed in front of him was a leather belt with four small metallic containers for crystals, two on each side.
"Aright bet." He stores the crystals into the container and ready out the nanobot injection.
"I hope I don't in my mind after all that crap." Without any hesitation the Chosen One injected the nanobots into his bloodstream.

The Five Series - redemption
Book 1 - Redemption Three generations have passed since the last near-apocalyptic war. Civilization is beginning to thrive again at an ever increasing pace. The burden of society has been once again placed on the back of a massive robotic workforce, creating a huge divide between industrial glory, and those forced to live in its shadow. Many have stubbornly held onto the old ways of self-governance from back when the government fell, but with its return, life in Welan City is changing. Aaron, a middle-aged man, who is stuck in the rut of daily life, witnesses a murder and finds himself in trouble, love, and the middle of a highly secretive robotics project. Aaron stakes his life on helping a prototype survive, and pays for it dearly. Passionate hate, love, and indifference send life in Welan City spiraling out of control, leaving no one innocent in the end. The Five Series is, well, a series. I've completed 3 of the books so far and will finish with a fourth, maybe fifth book. Book 1 is heavy on the character development side while the following will be much more decision and consequence oriented. This story reaches into the soul of a person and the universe we live in. Some people deserve a second chance, and some do not. With that im mind, no one really ever gets what they deserve though, do they? Always tell the people you care about that you love them as often as you can, they could be gone tomorrow. Would that change if you could always bring them back? I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it. Cody
