Present

Before narrating to Shivaay Anika excused herself and disappeared inside to her room. She thought over it. What should she do? After thinking for a few minutes she went out.

"Uss din aap gaadi chaala rahe thee tab aapka accident hogaya thaa..." She began slowly.

Shivaay listened attentively.

"Main wahii thii aur main aapko hospital le gayi...Aap ko ICU mein shift kiya gaya...toh aapki family se kisi kii official permission chaiye thi .jab maine aapke baare mein information nikali toh aapki family ke saath jo hua wo pata chala." She continued slowing towards the end.

Shivaay gulped thinking of that scene. It would have been better if he was also inside there. It would have been better to die with them then live without them.

Anika doubtfully told him, that after that when he was alright in few days, he din't have a place to live so she asked him to come to her house and then they started living together. She tells him about her property issue and how they both mutually agreed to a contract marriage where she would share her apartment and would make him a partner in company for next 2 years.

He sighed covering his face with his hand."Lekin mujhe yeh sab yaad kyun nahi hai...uss accident ka asar ab kyun?"

Anika became thoughtful quickly-"Ab yehi zindagi ki kausauti hai...aacident tab aur asar ab..!" she said a little dramatically.

He raises his eyebrow looking at her. Seriously?

She kept hidden the fact that he had lost his memory then and had actually regained it now. Losing the previous nine months of memory. The nine months he had spent with her.

She did not tell him how he had been so depressed due to lack of identity that he had also tried to suicide.

When she had gone to her room she had made a quick call to the doctor regarding this. He had advised her not to risk telling him the truth cause his state could become vulnerable, listening to the truth. He might go back to the uncontrolled restlessness.

Shivaay looked at her, "Go on tell me more...NINE months is a long span aur kya kya hua..!!"

"Bas itna hii...aap ek bhoot ki tarah chup chaap yahan rehte, time pe office chalte time pee aate time pe khaate aur so jaate, aur jitna kam ho sake, utni baat karte. By God mujhe toh aisa lagtaa thaa kii aap ek jiti jaagti machine hain. Aaj jaa ke pata chala kii aap normal insaano ki tarah baat bhi karte hai...chillate bhi hai..! "Anika completed excitedly.

"Mujhe lagta hai tab aap accident ke baad aap mute mode mein chale gaye honge ab jaa ke mute mode off hua par memory gul ho gayi." She added.

Shivaay looked at her with wide eyes and nodded his head and looking the other way."Yeh kaise baat karti hai...how...tacky..!!" He told himself in his head.

"Ab aapki pooch-taach khatam hogayi ho to hum doctor ke paas chale.." Anika exclaimed.

Shivaay listening carefully, "Yes we need to go to the doctor right away..we shouldn't push it more. I will just have a shower and be back in a few minutes."

Anika stared at him shocked, mumbling in her mind:

"Yahan inn ki yaadash chali gayi..." correcting herself, "matlab aa gayi...nahin jaa ke aai aur thodi waapas chali gayi aur inhe nahaane kii padi hai."

This was the first time Anika was actually seeing the real Shivaay Singh Oberoi. Little did she know that she hadn't seen even 0.01% of the real him yet.

After sometime:

At the basement they waited for the driver to bring the car. As he arrived.

Anika-"Lo aagaye kaka.."

Shivaay looked at her bewildered. " Tum apne driver ko kaka bulaa ti ho...?"

"haan.."she replied causally.

They both visit the doctor.

The doctor told him that memory loss cases are very different and specific and in his case his due to his injury a nerve in the brain which had probably been affected had now been relaxed and since he was sleeping it had led to the complicated situation. After taking the necessary reports he informed that there was nothing to worry about just that he should avoid trying to retrieve his prior memories. Not causing stress to his mind.

Shivaay-"..And what about medicines ??..."

Doctor-"..I think you are perfectly fine and don't need any..."

Shivaay-...Are you sure...I mean just to be on safer side any preventive medicines or..?"

Doctor smiled. "Naah..I don't think you require any of that..just stay happy and avoid stress"

When the doctor had sent Shivaay for tests he had explained the situation to Anika and asked her to make sure he was normal and didn't try thinking about the past nine months.

While walking to the parking lot Anika finally broke her silence. "Aap pehle aise insaan hain jo Doctor ko bol rahe thee Doctor. mujhe davai dijiye.." she laughed.

Shivaay gave her the SSO stare and she immeditaely kept quiet.

As they neared the car, kaka(driver) came to Anika and informed that there was an emergency at his home and that he had to leave for his village right away. Anika agrees quickly giving him leave and money.He handed over the cars keys and left thanking her. Shivaay moved towards the passenger seat while anika stood there rooted to the spot.

Shivaay watched her make no movement, and questioned. "Shall we move..?"

Anika-"Hann lekin..."

Shivaay-"Lekin what..?"

Anika-"Mujhe gaadi chalana nahii aata..!!"

Shivaay-"What..!! Tumhe drive karna nahi aata...itni badi hogayi ho lekin gaadi chalana nahi aata..!!"

Anika-"...Toh issme kaunsi dindora peetne waali baat hai...Nahi aata soo nahi aataa.!!"

Shivaay-"Tum ek car own karti ho ...and you don't know how to drive...wow" he laughee mocking her.

Anika-"toh..Meri marzi.."

Shivaay-"Pass me the keys I wil drive.."

Anika-"Lekin aap kaise drive karenge aapki toh memory chali gayi hai.."

"Look I know the routes...and I know how to drive" he said decisively.

Anika..."theek hai lekin aap please thoda theek se chalaiyega..!!"she gulped.

Shivaay.."You don't have to tell me that okay.I drive perfectly..!"

"Pata hai..!!" She exclaimed sarcastically.

Shivaay just looked the other way and both entered the car.
