《Because of Karson》Chapter 36

"Shut up, will you? I'm trying to take a picture and your ass won't shut up!" I heard a voice mumble as my head sunk further into someone's chest. "You're going to wake them up! Shut the fuck up!"

"Braxton," Karson snapped next to me as his hand started to rub further down my back. "I swear to God, if you don't shut up, I'll squeeze your balls so hard until they pop like fucking stress balls."

"Oops," I heard Braxton's nervous chuckle as someone smacked him. My eyes remained closed as Karson's grip possessively tightened. I didn't want to move. I was so comfortable.

"I told you to shut up, Colton!" Braxton growled as I imagined his furious eyes.

"Are you stupid?" Colton deadpanned, his voice sharp. "You're the one who woke them up by telling me not to wake them up."

My eyes slowly fluttered open, squinting them as I glanced over Karson's chest. My eyes landed on Colton and Braxton leaning against the door frame as Braxton waved his hand in the air, almost dropping his phone.

"What?" Braxton asked, confusion dancing across his features as Colton rolled his eyes.

"So fucking stupid," Colton mumbled before he turned on his heel and left the room. I bit my tongue as I tried to suppress the chuckle that threatened to slip through.

"Get a load of this guy, huh?" Braxton huffed as he pointed after Colton even though he was already gone.

"Get the fuck out," Karson grunted as he flipped off his best friend. My hand still rested against his chest as I lightly rubbed it over his shirt.

"I see you two have gotten quite close," Braxton smirked as he totally ignored Karson's comment. "You guys to need to fuck. Maybe it'll loosen up grumpy pants over there."

I barked a laugh as I carefully sat up. The covers fell off my chest as I sat butterfly style on Karson's bed. The sheets were gathered around my waist as Karson remained in the same position he was in all night.

"Braxton," Karson warned, his voice tight as he threw a glare in his direction.

"Loosen up you big fucking baby," Braxton rolled his eyes as he slightly took one step back. "Just tell me when you two fuck, yeah? And Dakota?"

"Yes?" I asked as I fought back a smile.

"Tell me how long he lasts. I've heard the longest he's lasted was only three min-"

"That's it!" Karson snarled as he threw the covers off himself and darted towards his best friend. Braxton looked alarm as his eyes widened in shock. "You little cocksucker!"

Braxton immediately ran out of the door, trying to get away from Karson as he chased after him. I held my stomach as I burst into laughter. I heard Braxton scream down the hallway until it was too hard to hear him.

"I'm not the one who sucks cock! I mean look at-"

That was the last thing I heard Braxton yell before they were too far away. My cheeks hurt from smiling too much as I finally decided to get out of bed. I swung my legs over the bed as I lightly chuckled to myself, Braxton's scream replaying in my head.

I rubbed my tired eyes, my cheeks heating up as I remembered the events from last night. I crawled into his bed as we slept together. Not in that way.

It was one of the best sleeps I've ever had, just lying in his arms as we both fell asleep. A small smile stained my lips as I slowly made my way downstairs. It was oddly quiet as I peered around the corner, no one to be found.

I whipped my head to the left, walking towards the living room as I heard small footsteps pound against the floor. My smile immediately grew as I watched my little sister's curls bounce on top of her head.

"Sissy!" Her bright smile lit up the room as she wobbled over to me.

"Good morning gorgeous!" I replied as I held out my hand for her to high five. She lightly jumped in the air to reach my hand as she smacked it as hard as she could.

"Colton told me what happened to mommy!" She smiled as nerves immediately washed over me. Oh God. "Mommy is gone forever! Yay!"

My mouth almost hung open in shock from the words that just fell from her mouth. I smacked my lips together, not sure how to respond to that. I just hesitantly nodded my head as I bit back a laugh. Definitely was not expecting that.

"Yes..." I trailed off as I cleared my throat. "And we get to go home today!"

She twirled around before grabbing my hand and pulling me to the kitchen. I grunted, almost falling over as she dragged me along. I ran after her, my legs trying to keep up with how fast she was running.

When we reached the kitchen, I noticed everyone sitting at the table as they made small talk. Liv released my hand as she plopped down in the seat next to Colton, his face immediately lighting up as she talked to him.

My eyes darted around the table to find Braxton and Karson playfully glaring at each other, of course. Jace was trying to hold back a laugh as he sat in between the two dipshits. He shoved food into his mouth to keep himself from laughing out loud.

"Finally," Braxton rolled his eyes as his eyes bore into mine. He sarcastically let out a long breath as he pointed to the empty seat next to him. "Get your ass over here."

I flipped him off before walking over to the empty seat. I sat down, my body relaxing in the chair as I played with the hem of my shirt. When I looked up, my eyes immediately landed on Karson as he raised one of his eyebrows in curiosity. His eyes briefly flickered to my hands that were playing with the hem of my shirt. Oh.

My lips pressed together in a thin line before I released my shirt and placed my hands against the table, trying not to fidget. When he realized I noticed, he gave me a small smile before turning to talk to my little brother.

As everyone talked amongst themselves, I let my eyes wander to look at everyone seated at the table. Every person in this room held a special place in my heart. I never realized how much these three boys would mean to me. Especially Karson.

I was finally grateful to have a group of people I could trust. I was one step closer to finally being happy.

"Goddamnit," I mumbled under my breath as I tried to open our front door.

My siblings and I left the boys house a few hours after breakfast, deciding that it was probably time to go home for a bit. Olivia made a fuss, not wanting to leave Colton, so I basically had to drag her out of there. It wasn't fun.

As of right now, the door knob was jammed and I couldn't get the fucking thing open. Jace and Olivia impatiently stood behind me as the side of my fist connected with the wooden door in frustration.

"For fucks sake," Jace mumbled before he gently pushed me aside and gave a try at opening the door. On his first try, of course the door shot open.

He threw me a glare as I blankly stared at him. I huffed, rolling my eyes as I watched Olivia push him to the side and run upstairs. She immediately ran to her room as the loud noise coming from her roughly closing the door echoed throughout the empty house. She wasn't in the best mood.

I grunted as Jace and I stepped into the house, locking the door behind us. I breathed out a sigh of relief as I gently ran one of my hands through my hair.

"And the siblings are finally home! Took y'all long enough."

My body stiffened when I heard that familiar voice. My head immediately shot up to see Jason walking out from behind our kitchen wall. I heard Jace suck in a sharp breath beside me as I felt everything crumble beneath my feet.

"How the fuck did you get inside?" I hissed, my voice low as it shook with anger. We couldn't catch a break.

"Dakota, baby, that's for me to know and for you to figure out. I like seeing you flustered," he gave me a sick smile as he dramatically clapped his hands together.

I felt my heart drop to the pit of my stomach as nausea gnawed at my insides. Hearing him call me baby made me want to vomit. Why the fuck was he even here?

"What do you want?" I asked, my voice quiet as I felt defeated. I knew this wasn't going to end well.

"Oh, come on. You know what I want," he smirked, showcasing his yellow teeth as he looked me up and down, not even trying to hide it.

"Go fuck yourself," I seethed as I took an angry step forward. I felt Jace's hand grab my forearm as he gently pulled me back.

"Don't get near him," he whispered under his breath, only loud enough for me to hear.

"Seeing you riled up really does a number on me," Jason breathed as he fanned his face with his hand. He adjusted his pants a few moments later as an evil smirk tugged at his lips.

I shivered in disgust as I felt violated. I crossed my arms around myself, trying to hide my body in any way I could. I shifted uncomfortably under his hard gaze, moving all my weight onto one foot.

"You're a sick fuck, you know that?" Jace cut in, his voice sharp as his eyes narrowed at the man in front of us.

"I don't think I'm sick, I'm just a man with needs. It's quite different Jacey," he explained, purposely getting Jace's name wrong. My mouth went dry as I felt bile rise in the back of my throat. "Anyways, I heard your dear mother got arrested. About damn time."

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean it's about time?"

"She was a fucking mess," he snorted, playfully rolling his eyes as he trailed his finger along a small side table next to him. "I only fucked her to see you, my dear."

"What?" I asked bewildered as my lips pressed together in a thin line.

"Don't play dumb," he hissed, the change of tone in his voice making me flinch. "All the things we did together, remember? Those were fun times. I only fucked her because it was the only way I could see you."

"You're sick," I bitterly spat as I swallowed the bile. I was shaking with rage as I listened to every word he said. Disgusting.

"Well, and of course I had to beat my nephew. I couldn't let him have you first," he stated, sarcastically tapping his chin as he pretended to be in deep thought.

"What?" I breathed, the breath knocked out of me as his words replayed in my head. I couldn't let him have you first.

He sucked in a sharp breath as he clicked his tongue. "Oh, yikes. He didn't tell you?"

I tried to rack my brain for any possible answer. Who didn't tell me?

I audibly gasped when I connected the dots. My body went rigid as my hands began to shake by my sides. No no no.

"No," I breathed, shaking my head in denial. It couldn't be him.

"So she isn't as dumb as I thought," Jason beamed as he clasped his hands together. Jace was still beside me, but he looked completely lost.

"There's no way," I mumbled, mainly to myself, but Jason was able to hear it. That would mean that Damon and Jason are brothers.

It would make sense. Karson knew Jason long before me, and they were both involved in the underground. Jason worked for Damon, which also happened to be his brother. They were both dangerous and disgusting men.

"My dear nephew, Karson, paid me a little visit after you told him what I've done to you," he growled, completely sobering up as his eyes visibly darkened. No.

"Karson's his nephew?" Jace asked, shock lacing in between his words as he said it loud enough for me to hear. I couldn't find the right words to answer him.

Jason stepped forward menacingly, but he still kept his distance. I watched as his fists clenched at his sides while he wore a smug look. He looked furious, yet amused.

"You want to know what he did to me?" He mockingly asked, his voice low as he pointed to a faint scar on his cheek. "After you told him about your little sob story, he came to my fucking house and beat the shit out of me."

I felt the breath get knocked out of me as my knees went weak. After I told Karson about what Jason did, he went straight to his house. He beat up his own uncle for what he did to me. Why didn't he tell me that Jason was his uncle?

I definitely would've noticed Karson's bruised knuckles, but of course, the day after was when he and Brody fought. He already had bruised knuckles before fighting Brody, for me. Every fight was because of me. This is all my fault.

"He beat you up?"

"Yes, you bitch! It's all your fault. You just had to go around and tell him, out of everyone, it just had to be him. I wouldn't have this goddamn scar if it wasn't for you running your pretty little mouth," Jason roared as he glared at me.

My heart clenched at the thought of Karson defending me for what his uncle did. He really did care.

"You forced yourself onto me!" I fought back, my voice rising in anger as I felt everything crumble beneath me. Everything was too much. There was too much happening at the same time. "I have every right to tell people what you did to me. You knew what you were doing and you got off to my suffering. You're sick!"

"Shut the fuck up," he fumed. "I was the one who moved to this town first. I deserve you, not my brother's son!"

"What is wrong with you?!" I screamed, my voice hoarse as I tried to comprehend his insanity.

"I moved down here for my daughter and of course, they follow me!" He roared, his voice breaking as he pointed his filthy finger at me.

"They didn't follow you! They didn't even know you were here. They moved because this was Colton's home town!" I defended as my chest rose up and down in anger. "And you don't deserve me. No one deserves me. You're absolutely insane."

"When I hooked up with your mother for the first time, I saw you and I wanted you. You were only fourteen, but I didn't care. Your mother was just a distraction for years," he admitted, his voice hard as he only kept his eyes on me. "I didn't know Karson moved down here, and apparently he didn't know I was here either. Of course, something just had to happen between you and Karson. You two fucked up the one chance I had with you. How ironic is that my nephew gets with you?"

I didn't bother correcting him, saying we weren't together, because I didn't want him to get even more pissed. This was all too much. I knew Jason was a disgusting man, but I didn't think it was this bad. I wanted to vomit. "Jason, you need fucking help. This isn't right. I'm a minor!"

"I told Damon about you," he calmly told me, completely ignoring the words that fell from my mouth. It's almost like someone had flipped a switch. He wasn't yelling anymore. "I told him about you and Karson. If only you didn't tell Karson about what I did, you wouldn't be exposed to his father. Damon is coming for you, Dakota. He's going to get revenge on his son through you. If you kept your mouth shut about us, I wouldn't have ratted you out to Damon, bitch."

"Us? There is no us. Jason, you're sick." I felt my blood run cold as my muscles tensed. Karson's father was coming for revenge. "You have a fucking daughter. This is disgusting. How would she feel if she knew what you were doing to me?!"

"Now, Dakota. You don't understand," he lightly shook his head as a few veins popped out of his forehead. A sick smile tugged at his lips as he stared at me. "She's the one who gave me updates on you. She told me that you guys have a class together. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe she saw your stitches one time. Oh, I almost forgot, she's also kept me updated with you and Karson. I love my little girl."

My mind began to race as I tried to remember who his daughter was. I tried to rack my brain for anything. I felt every ounce of color drain from my face as my body stiffened when one specific memory flashed across my mind.

I started to feel anxious as I felt someone's eyes lingering on my body. I looked up and was met with a hard gaze from the girl with raven colored hair. She raised one of her eyebrows and dragged her eyes down to stare at the stitches Karson gave me.

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat as I used my long sleeve shirt to try and cover my palm. I felt self conscious as she continued to stare at my injured hand. She reconnected her gaze with mine before turning around and drawing on the desk in front of her.

That was Jason's daughter. I felt dizzy as my breaths came out short and ragged. So much was happening all at once.

"What the fuck is going on?" Jace cursed under his breath as we stood side by side.

"You had her spy on Karson and I?! You and your daughter are sick. You both need serious help." I gave a humorless laugh as I shook my head. I needed Karson.

"We aren't insane!" He defended as his mouth curled up in rage. "Damon wants revenge on his son, and now, I want you to fucking pay. Damon knows about your role in Karson's life. It's a win win. My brother and I are two men who can destroy both of your lives. Karson fucked with Damon and you fucked with me. Ironic, isn't it? The two people who fucked up my brother and I's life are a couple."

"Get the fuck out!" Jace roared from beside me, fed up as he pointed to the door behind us.

"You better watch your fucking back, Anderson. This all would've been prevented if you didn't fight back," he hissed as he walked forward. Jace and I subconsciously stepped back as we watched Jason walk in between us.

He gave me one last look before heading towards the front door and roughly pulling it open. He stepped outside, the smell of alcohol engulfing me as he walked by. He slammed the door behind him, making my body flinch as he was finally out.

"What the actual fuck?" Jace hissed as he rubbed his forehead in frustration. "Dakota, this is insane. He is insane."

I stood still, my feet glued to the floor as I blankly stared at my little brother. I was in shock. My mouth felt dry as tears began to well up in the corner of my eyes.

This all would've been prevented if you didn't fight back. If I let him touch me, do whatever he wanted with me, we wouldn't be in danger. I bit back a sob, trying to contain myself in front of Jace.

"I'm calling Karson," he huffed as he pulled his phone out from his back pocket. I couldn't say anything. I physically couldn't force any words out. I felt anger well up in my chest as I clenched my fists by my sides.

I couldn't respond, but I heard Jace mumbling into the phone only a few feet away from me. I continued to blankly stare at him as he roughly ran a hand through his hair after the call ended.

"He's on his way, Dak. It'll be okay. We're going to figure this out. I'm so sorry," his voice broke as he slowly walked over to me. My lips were pressed together in a thin line as I watched his eyes fill with pity. No.

It felt like it had only been five minutes when I heard the front door shoot open. I slowly walked backwards until my back hit the wall, shivers shooting down my spine as my bare skin hit the cold surface.

My vision was blurry as I stared at the figure in front of me. The tears in my eyes made it hard to make out his face, but I immediately knew who it was. A small whimper fell from my lips as he looked in my direction.

I felt a tear travel down my cheek, making my vision more clear as I stared at the two boys in front of me. Jace had his arms crossed, facing me as worry took over his features. Karson stood there with his eyebrows pinched together in concern as he strode towards me.
