~Blake Knight~

"So you are saying that we lost sight of the two deliveries we were supposed to hand out tonight to the French mafia ?!"Damon growls out at the meeting table, making a few of our men flinch back. They know how pissed Damon can get if things aren't in the right place, and for now you can't really say it's great.

We were all called in this afternoon to have a meeting at one of our main buildings that is placed in the centre of the city. Apparently it was urgent and we all had to go, which I clearly don't understand, because to be honest they could have sorted the things out without my help, especially if it is about a missing delivery. I am sure Greyson could easily figure out what happened thanks to his hacking skills. I on the other hand, am still trying to figure out where the bastard Nick happened to disappear. I know something is not right in his disappearing, but I cannot put my finger on it, and it is clearly a waist of time if I don't quickly get the hell out of this meeting. All of his data is gone, like vanished from the earth, as if he never existed and I know damn well that fucker is too dumb to do it by himself which means that he got help from someone. I just need to figure out who.

My thoughts, as well as Damon's speech gets interrupted by the buzzing sound of my phone. I roll my eyes and ignore the death glares of my elder brother and look at the id caller. It's my Lila.

Without a second thought I pick up the call.

"Magnolia ? What is it ?" I ask her coldly, but quickly my relaxed state turns into worry and anger, as I hear her loud breathing. Suddenly I hear the tires of a vehicle screech in a way that can only make me tremble in panic at what is possibly happening to my baby.

"Magnolia what is going on !" I demand and look up to my brothers with worry, when I don't hear her respond to my question. Something is definitely happening to her, which makes it impossible for her to communicate with me. I put the phone on loud speaker so the rest of my brothers can hear the call of my terrified sister. When she screams right after we hear the sound of what I suppose are the windows shattering, because of bullets, all my brothers are quick to react.

Greyson furiously types on his open laptop probably already hacking her phone for the location and I bark orders at the men that are still in the room along with us. Ethan let's me know that we are too far to help her and that the best option we have right now is Elijah. I trust him so I don't waist a second to accept the proposition that he made us. He could save her from the attackers, because his position is currently way better than ours.

Way sooner than I wanted, the call cuts us out of the current situation where our sister is stuck in.

For the next five minutes we don't hear a word of what is going on, but we are all out of the building heading to our cars in a rush to try and get to our little angel. That is until I get a call from my best friend explaining to us that he is currently taking her home, as she is safely asleep in the back of his car. I don't even realise how tense I was the entire time until I let out a deep breath of relief in my car. I couldn't forgive myself if something happened to her again. We promised her that she will be safe with us, and once again we failed. We just shouldn't have let her go to this friend of hers.

My brothers and I drive back at the mansion in the speed of light to see Magnolia. We still don't know how hurt she is and I want to know what happened, so I could kill the bastards that even tried to lay a finger on her.

Me being the fastest driver in the family, I am the fist one to burst through the doors of our house, looking for Magnolia and Elijah. I don't hesitate to walk towards the living room, once I hear a few very quiet discussions. I hear the firm footsteps of my brothers, as they follow me in the living room.

Just like I anticipated, Elijah is sitting on a couch, right next to the laying figure of Magnolia, but what I didn't really thought I would see is that he was cleaning her bloody hands in the most careful way possible. When he sees us all walk in, he quickly stands up and dumps the bloody cloth in a bowl of what I assume is warm water.

"What happened ?" Damon growls out behind me, before I even have the time to utter a word to Elijah. I watch as Magnolia's head slowly and carefully lifts itself up from the cushion, so she is able to look at us. I grit my teeth together and can't help to clench my fist, once her bruised face comes in my vision. I can even see her tears that stained her rosy cheeks.

"Good to see you to brothers." She states with such coldness and lack of emotion that I am nearly impressed. The thing is she shouldn't be able to do such a thing, because I master it simply because of what I do. So does Damon. How could she have learned such a thing...

We all stand still in the living room not so sure how to react to her greeting. Let's say we are not the best to show our love to the ones who deserve it. Well at least I am bad at this, because quickly Greyson and Ethan go up to my sister to show their worry. I wish I could be like my twin and show her how much she means to me.

"Who were the attackers ?" I ask Elijah, as I keep my gaze on my siblings.

"Who do you think ?" he replies ironically. "The bloody Italians. They won't come off of my fucking back these days either." He let's out a little sight, before looking at me for a few seconds and dropping his gaze. I watch him carefully as guilt, confusion and worry all mixe themselves together to create a new expression on his face.

"What is going on man ?" I ask, because I know him for such a long time already and I can tell when something is on his mind.

"Nothing. It's all good. I am glad your sister is okay." He responds without looking at me, but he keeps his gaze on Magnolia. "I have to deal with some things, I'll talk to you later."

"Will do. Thank you man." I give him an honest and firm hand shake, because without him I don't know where Mags would be at this exact moment.

"Sure, no problem." Just as he is about to leave, he turns around to me to add one more little thing. "Blake, you should look out for Magnolia's driving skills. She managed to hold two expert drivers away from here for quite some time. One of them even had a bad crash." I stop myself from showing any kind of pride at the words my best friend just said.

I slightly nod and watch him wave goodbye to the rest of my family, before leaving us alone.

I decide to approach myself from the others and even sit down next to Mags once she indicates me that she left a spot for me next to her. Instinctively she snuggles closer to me, just like she used to do when she was a child and I can't help, but smile a little at this affectionate move.

"I am glad you called me, you know ?" I sincerely tell her, but she only mumbles an incoherent answer, as she lays her tired head on my shoulder. I freeze for a second, before slowly bringing my hand up to her head to run my hand through her soft hair. When I tare my gaze away from Magnolia, I notice how all of my brothers look on me. Ethan gives me a proud smile and I only know too well what it is for.

Let's say after I lost Magnolia, it was hard for me just like for everyone else. My broken heart managed to come across the beautiful soul of a girl named Aden.

She was my best friend, when I needed it the most. I knew her since we were both 11 years old, we came across each other one day, when I was hanging around the skate park with Elijah. She was there too that day and was trying to learn a trick on her pink skateboard. At first Elijah and I didn't even take her into consideration, until she and I happened to crash into each other. Let me tell you how mad I was that day. My rage wasn't easy to control, heck it still isn't to this day, but I leached it out on her and left. Two days later filled with regret I came back to the park to see if I could find her again to excuse myself. Luckily for me there she was, trying to skate on her own with her bright pink board.

That day was the first time I smiled, since Magnolia "died", because Aden forgave me and even shared a cookie with me. Since this incident, we both became good friends, Elijah joining in the friendship later on. She knew everything about me, my family, my soul. I could trust her with my life. Except all good things end up dying in Blake Knights life right ?

Because that is exactly what happened to her. She died, when we were both 17. She died, because I wasn't able to protect her either. She got shot in the heart, because of me, because of my family's business.

Italiens were searching for revanche after I killed one of their crews for attacking us and she ended up paying for it all.

After her death I promised myself that wouldn't care about anyone anymore, because I will end up killing them and killing me even more. No emotions equals to no feelings, which means no pain. Easy right ?

Oh I wish, because now that Mags is back, the walls I have been building up for years and slowly crumbling down again. And Ethan knows it damn well, because he has been waiting for it to happen for years so he could finally have his twin back. But will it ever really happen ?
