《Their Shattered Angel》Fidgeting hands

During the entire ride I noticed two black Range Rovers following us close behind, but I didn't say a thing. They must be security guards or something, because how could Ethan not notice it ? It is too obvious.
My dark thoughts keep creeping back inside my head as I try to keep them out. I am wondering how long I would actually survive in my new home or what would happen once the Cambells realise that I won't be coming back to their fucking hell hole. I am freaking out right now and my legs can't stop bouncing up and down, which definitely gives out that I am nervous as hell. Damn.
I was trying so hard to seem emotionless in front of this stranger, but I guess I am not so good at doing that toady.
"You don't have to be nervous Magnolia." Ethan suddenly speaks up, a warm smile lingering on his lips, as he gives me a small look. His eyes travel down, staring at my jumping legs for a couple of seconds, before he focuses his eyes back on the road. I don't respond to his comment, which seems to tense him a little bit, as I notice his grip tightening on the leather steering wheel.
This was a bad idea. I shouldn't have let myself get dragged into this mess. I am sure that he wouldn't want a girl like me in his house once he finds out how worthless I truly am.
After a few more minutes of driving, the car finally comes to a stop, which makes en snap out of my thoughts. Just then I realise that we are parked next to a private jet. You have to be kidding me, how rich are these people ? I can't even detach my eyes from the objet that stands in front of me, which makes a smirk form of Ethan's lips as he studies my reaction.
A small shiver runs down my spin as I remember the smirk on Nick's face when he saw me suffering on the hard ground right after his beatings. My hands start to tremble, as I try to get this uneasy feeling away. But to my luck, the feelings stays as I slowly walk behind Ethan to climb in the private jet, which had a beautiful black colour. It was breathtaking.

The inside is as clean as I thought it would be and we are greeted by flight attendants who gave their prettiest smile to Ethan, but their dirtiest looks to me. Ethan didn't notice of course, otherwise they would have been fired right away, I am pretty sure of that.
I stand awkwardly in the entrance, not knowing what do you and where to sit as I keep my head low. Just like I was taught
"Magnolia." Ethan calls me with a soft tone. "You can sit with me, you don't have to stand there all alone. Unless you want too."
I nod, before walking towards him to sit on one of the black leather seats. He proposes me some snacks and things to drink trying to get me comfortable, but I politely declined his offer. I am starving though...I haven't eaten anything since yesterday. Even then it was nothing more then a slice of bread with a tiny amount of tomato soup.
For the whole flight I either have my hands gripped to the armrests or to my seatbelt. It was my first time flying, so I think you can understand the fact that I wasn't relaxed at all. I let out a final shaky breath once I feel the plane come in contact with the ground.
We leave the private jet, exposing us to the warm sun of Florida, before climbing in a other luxury car. A black Bentley to be more precise. I know all the cars, I know everything about them and I could talk about them for hours, but trust me I would bore you in under a minute. For sure. Only one person understands me. Well understood me. Past tense. An ache settles itself in my heart as I think back to him, to his smile that was plastered on his face every time he saw me.
Leaving the private airport, we drive for only about ten minutes, before turning in a dark way heading in a forest. At that moment I hold my breath, fear of getting kidnapped and mistreated like I have been so many times sneaking its way under my skin.

But weirdly a feeling of familiarity washes over me as I look at the trees flying by while the car continued to drive deeper in the forest. The car finally makes a halt in front of a huge gate and surprise it was black once again like every other object Ethan seems to own. I fidget with my fingers, stopping my hands from trembling when I see the heavy armed security guards placed in front of the gate and every where else as we drive into the gigantic property.
"I haven't told your brothers that I found you." Ethan suddenly blurts out, as if he was debating with himself for a while to chose wether to tell me or not. I look at him not knowing what to reply, as I give him an emotionless stare.
"Okay" I numbly reply, before turing my head towards the window again to admire the land that they apparently owned. His comment just made me more anxious that I would want to admit.
"I sent them a message though... telling them that I had an important thing to tell them. Let's see if they decide to show up or not." he sighs, before climbing out of the car that had stopped a few seconds before. I take a deep breath and extend my shaky hand towards the door to open it.
When I step out I feel like I am going to collapse under my weight, a harsh pain ripping through my entire body. I unintentionally let out a cry of pain, when I take a step forward the mansion, but I manage to hide it behind a cough. Ethan looked at me with a suspicious glance for a few seconds, before finally giving in. He starts to walk towards the front door of the modern glass house again. I follow close behind him, while eying the two 'sort of body guards' who trail behind us without any bother in the world.
Ethan has to scan his finger before entering the house, which kinda left me standing still in the middle of the way. He turns to me when he notices that I am not following him, before giving me reassuring smile to encourage me to come in.
I advance slowly inside the house, until we stop in what I think was the living room, which was huge and well cleaned, something I never actually thought existed until now.
It is so spacious and the natural light of the sun comes through the windows illuminating the whole room. The house is calm and deserted well at least that's what I thought, until a deep voice echoes right behind Ethan and I, which makes me jump back in shock.
"Bringing a new whore inside the house, is that what the important information was about Ethan ?" I turn myself around with so much fear and pain to the person that spoke those words that I could have collapsed right there.
The voice holds so much power and authority that I may even prefer to go back to the Cambells instead of meeting the person who just said those hurtful words. But do I have a choice ? N0.
So as soon as I turn my eyes cross path with a pair of dark stormy green eyes, but to my shock they weren't the only ones who looked at me with disgust. There stood two other boys, beside the one who looked like the eldes and the scariest. Fucking hell. Please don't tell me they are all my brothers...
Magnolia is already terrified and now she has to meet what seems like more brothers of her.
Their hurtful words don't seem to go unnoticed by Magnolia that is for sure.
Love you

Post War Rules
Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.

His Trophy | Jerome Valeska
"Oh and Jim, Jim Gordon?" Jerome peered into the camera as if to yell out to an audience: "I have Rory here," he turned the camera towards Jim's daughter and revealed to the audience a girl that had been beaten and tormented, she was gaged and her eyes didn't look at the camera but above the lens; at Jerome who was holding the camera."Say hi to Daddy, doll face," he jeered from behind the camera. She looked down the lens and shook her head as if to tell Jim not to try. The camera went back to Jerome."She's a beauty isn't she, Jimbo," Jerome smirked into the camera, his laughter becoming harsh and wild: "and she's all mine, you try anything, and I mean anything, I kill her. She's my prisoner, my reward, and you're not taking her away from me Jimmy boy, on no, not this time" his words were spoken through waves of laughter.***Rory Gordan is the stepdaughter of Jim Gordon. Her mother moved a lot so Rory was born in Gotham City but raised in England and from the age of 10 she had been bouncing from one country to another with her mother. However, when she turned 17 she had grown tired of the constant change of moving and decided to move to America. It was when she was visiting her long term boyfriend when her life got flipped upside down, not only did she meet one of the craziest boys on the planet, but she discovered that she had a gift that would curse her forever. This story is a collection of scenes rather than a flowing plot, so its chronological but it skips scenes and jumps back and forth between different perspectives. The story is under editing, so it'll get more cohesive over time.••• I do not own any characters or plot lines from the tv show. However, all original characters like Rory do belong to me.Total Word Count [33,674]
