《Danny Phantom x Female!Reader》Chapter 53: Beauty Marked

Sam, Tucker and I were sitting in the auditorium of Casper High as a pretty blonde woman, wearing a blue and green dress, walks up on the stage. "Girls, do you dream about being a princess?" She asked. A group of girls started to cheer, except for me and Sam.
"No." Sam muttered.
"When I was like four." I muttered, making her laugh.
"Of wearing beautiful gowns and jewlery?" She asked as she holds up her ring which had a huge green diamond on it.
"No." Sam and I said in unison.
"Of charming and begiling a handsome prince?" She asked.
"Aaaand gag." Sam said in bored tone.
"I've already have that special someone, thank you." I muttered.
"I'm Dora Maddenly, and I want to make that dream come true for one of you sweet young ladies." Dora said as she walks over to a rope on the side of the stage and pulls it. A huge sign appears and it said:
Miss Teenage
Happy Princess
Beauty Pageant
Everyone begins to cheer but me and Sam. "That's why I'm bringing my Miss Teenage Happy Princess Beauty Pageant right here to your school." Dora said.
"I hate this more than I hate the morning sun." Sam said, gloomingly. "Tell me about it." I growled. "What's wrong with beauty pageants?" Tucker asked us.
"Other than the fact they turn girls into shallow doormats and boys into drooling idiots.....EVERYTHING!" Sam said and I nodded in agreement. "But it's got a swimsuit competition!" Tucker exclaimed, happily. I rolled my eyes as Dora continues. "I need a worthy and chivalrous knight to select our princess." She said and a bunch of guys jump up and wave their hands, even Tucker. "Oh, man! Danny, would loved this!" Tucker said. "Where is he anyway?" I asked as I look around. The other two shrugged as Dora looks out into the crowd of boys.
"Our princess must appeal to the masses. She shall be chosen by a common boy. Someone who is average and bland." She said and she walks along the stage and passed Dash. "Too popular."
"Too athletic." She said as she passes Kwan.
"Too nerdy." She said as she passes Mikey.
Then she makes it to Tucker.
"Too...."
"Handsome? Smart? Intelligent?" Tucker asked.
"Annoying." She finished as she continues to look out. That is until Danny suddenly appeared on stage, in his human form thank God. "You! You're perfect!" She exclaimed and she walks over to him. "Excuse me, what?!" I said, angrily. "This should be interesting." Sam muttered. "Thanks, Sam. You're a real pal." I said to her, sarcastically.
"Hiiii, Danny." All the girls said to Danny as him, Tucker and I walk down the hallway. "I baked cookies for you!" Paulina said as she holds up a plate of cookies to him. "I did your math homework." Star said as she holds up a tall stack of paper in her hands. I glare at them and hug Danny's arm tighter as Danny chuckles "Now, ladies, you can't influence the judge with cookies and.....wait! Is this homework done all the way to next semester?" Danny asked Star. She nods at him and he smiles. "This pleases me." He said.
But then Dash grabs his collar and said. "Hey, Fentoid! It's only been two hours and I'm already tired of you hogging all the hotties! You've already got one!" Dash said. Trust me Dash, I'm tired of this as well. I thought as Danny snaps his fingers and Paulina kicks Dash in the back of his knee. Dash drops Danny and holds his leg but then begins to run as the girls chase after him.

"It's like a dream! Every girl totally wants to date us!" Tucker exclaimed.
"Us?" Danny and I asked.
"Hey, as judge's best pal, I'm entitled to some spill over." Tucker said then he pulls out his PDA and turns to one of the girls. "Wanna go out....uh...Ashley?" He asked her.
"Yeah, right." She said in a rude tone.
"Judge's best friend!" Tucker said and suddenly Ashley's tone changed. "Pick you up at seven?" She asked. "Seven." He confirmed and she walks away. "That means I should be free around nine for...." He said as he looks through his PDA but stops when he sees the name and I know what name he saw that made him stop. "Tucker? What's up?" Danny asked him.
Tucker looks up at me and said. "You signed up for the pageant?"
"What?!" Danny exclaimed.
"Yes, I did." I said, annoyed.
"But you said you hate pageants! Is Sam going to join as well?" Tucker asked.
"Heck, No! I'm just living vicariously through her." Sam said as she walks up next to me and places an arm around my shoulder. "Yeah, I'm not doing this to win, I'm doing this to make a statement." I said as I reached over and pulled Tucker's beret over his face.
Later that afternoon, all the pageant competitors had to meet up with Dora at the football field. "Well here's a statement. It says: I'll never win in this outfit!" Dora said pointing at my clothes which was just baggy jeans, converse shoes and a red hoodie. I glared at her as she walks around. "Still Miss (l/n) has a point. You girls are unique individuals with strong opinions and independent minds." She said. "You're darn right we are!" I exclaimed.
"It's my job to make you forget that and mold you into happy little princess!" Dora said and the other girls cheered. Someone kill me. I thought as she begins our training. One of them was to balance a book on top of our heads. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to balance the book so I just read it while I walked. But I ended up bumping into the girl in front of me and it caused a domino effect as everybody starts to fall down.
I sighed as I rolled my eyes when my ghost sense goes off. I look around and see a hooded ghost, holding an axe. Danny seemed to notice him as I see he appear towards him. Oh my gosh! I have to... But before I could run off to go ghost Dora called out to me. "Miss (l/n)! Where do you think your going?" She asked me. "Uh, uh..." I stuttered, couldn't think of a good excuse. "If you want to stay in this pageant, you have to stay here." She said and I just sigh and go back as we had to practice our perfect smile and then we had to do make-up and then we had to walk again but then I accidentally stepped on Dora's feet. And I could've sworn I heard her roar and her faced morphed into a monster for a split second but she recovered and ushered me along.
"Danny, there's something weird about Dora." I said to him as he and I sit at a lunch table. "Mmmhmm." He said with content. I leaned forward and whispered. "Ghostly weird."
"Yeah, yeah....oh that's the spot!" Danny said as Star was giving him a back massage. I growled and get up. "Never mind! I didn't want to talk to you anyway!" I shouted, angrily, and I walk away. "(Y/N), wait!" I heard him shout after me. "Whatever it is, I'll handle it once this window of popularity is over..."

"Oh, so being popular and having all these girls fawn over you is more important than taking care of a ghost, is that it?" I said, arms folded across my chest. "But I have important judge duties to attend to." He said. I growl and start to walk away. "(Y/N), wait!" Danny shouted again. He walks up to me and grabs my arm. "Danny, let go of me!" I growled.
"(Y/N), talk to me! Why are you so angry lately?" He asked. "Are you serious?! Every popular girl has been throwing themselves at you and you've been paying more attention to them than you're own girlfriend!" I shouted at him. Danny stares at me, blinking. "Ugh, just....stay away from, Danny. I just don't want to talk to you right now." I said as I jerk my arm from his and walk away.
As I walk along the school grounds, I couldn't help but think about all those girls throwing themselves at Danny. I keep wondering why I was so angry. It's because you're jealous. A small voice in my head said. I stopped in my tracks and sighed at this. He probably would prefer one of them instead of me, I'm just a nobody. I thought just as I heard a voice. "You see the boy is distracted and the girl is angry at him. The ring masks me from their ghost sense. They suspect nothing!" I turn intangible and walk over to see Dora talking to her ring. "Which is more than I can say for the girl! Perhaps next time you should just walk up to her and scream, I'M A GHOST!" A voice from the ring said. "No! Please forgive me brother! I didn't think..." Dora starts to beg but then voice shouts. "You're not suppose to think! You're suppose to keep the girl away from the boy until showtime! SO DO IT!!" The voice shouted angrily. This is bad! I thought as I fly away, thinking of a plan.
The day of the pageant arrived as people arrived and sat down on the medieval themed staged. I see Danny and Tucker standing backstage with all the girls giving them goo-goo eyes and blowing kisses at them. I walk up to Danny and said. "Danny! Don't go out there! Dora is..."
"An insult to modern women? A throwback to the Dark Ages?" He asked me. I sigh heavily and said. "No, listen...." but both of our ghost sense goes off and the hooded figure with the axe appears again. "And speaking of Dark Ages." Danny said as he runs behind a prop and goes ghost. "Danny, wait up!" I said as I start to run but I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I turn around to see it's Dora. "Miss Maddenly! I didn't hear you!" I said. "You should be getting ready for the pageant, Miss (l/n), it's about to start!" She said as she grabs my hand and we walk away to the other side of the backstage. I heard music playing which meant the pageant was starting and I heard Lancer singing a medieval type song. I look up at Dora and said. "Miss Maddenly, I just realized that I'm not cut out to be a princess! So I'll just be going." I said.
I start to walk away again but she grabs my arm and said. "Nowhere." Suddenly her necklace glows and she closes her eyes. But once she opens them they are red and her teeth were sharp. Then her white skin turns blue and scaley and she grew wings.
"You!" I shouted as she turns into the dragon. She roars at me then leans her head closer to me, her teeth bared. "What makes you think you can make me go through with this pageant?" I said as I raise my glowing hands. "If you don't go along with this, your friends will die and not only that your precious ghost boyfriend will die as well, slowly and painfully!" She said. "You don't want that on your conscious, do you?"
I glared at her but then I sigh as I relax and let my hand turn back to normal and look down at my feet, dejectedly. "Good." Dora said as she turns back to a human. "Now, get out there and be a happy princess!" She said as I watch Paulina walk out on stage in her cheerleading outfit. I look out and see Danny at the judge's table. "How am I going to tell him?" I whispered to myself. I guess I could do a haiku. Sam taught me how to do one, maybe I can make one up. I thought.
After awhile, it was finally my turn to go up stage and Dora practically shoved me towards the front. I walk up to the middle of the stage and see Danny and the whole school and town staring at me. "My name is (y/n) (l/n) and my happy princess talent is....goth haiku." I said. Here goes nothing. I thought as I take a deep breathe. "Despair without end." I said, loudly. But then I whispered to Danny. "Dora's a ghost." But he didn't seem to hear me. "Utter blackness, nothingness." I said, loudly again. "Dora's a ghost!" I whispered again to Danny but he just gave me a confused look. I clear my throat and said, loudly and slowly for him to get it. "Dora is a ghost!" Dora grabs my arm and drags me away from the stage.
Then Mr Lancer walks up to the stage and said. "Good, Sir Judge! Has thou made thy decision?" I see Danny run in across the stage behind Lancer as he shouts, in fear. "(Y/N)!"
"Yay, varily! Let it be proclaimed that the one with the happy princess crown shall be decried to.....(y/n)?! Are you unwell?" Lancer shouted while everyone starts to cheer but the other girls looked really angry.
Danny was just a few feet away from me when suddenly the platform Dora and I stood one raised up in the air and fireworks went off. "(Y/N)! No!" I hear Danny shout as Dora places a gold crown, with a giant green jewel in the middle, on the top of my head and the next thing I knew, I wasn't in Amity Park anymore. I was in a medieval part of the Ghost Zone, and saw a tall blue skinned man wearing purple clothing and a black cape and a green throned crown on top of his long grey haired head.
"My loyal servants! At long last it is over! Your Prince has finally selected his bride!" He shouts to the cheering crowd below. "Bride?" I said, confused.
