《The Ninth Eeveelution》Regrets and Rockets

I followed Ash and Pikachu outside. The sun had just come up and we decided to train. I came with them, hoping that I could practice physic. i could imagine some really mean ways of using it. Bonnie and Clemont tagged along too.
Ash found a new, not destroyed clearing to train. Then we began.
I must say, when Ash is training, he's a genius. He pitted me against his many pokemon, to help them and me find each other's weaknesses and get stronger. His ideas of tactics and strategies were inventive and effective.
At first, I couldn't keep up with most of his pokemon. They rather were faster and stronger than me, or had a huge type advantage. But with his encouragement, I learned to use physic to stop his pokemon from moving, and hitting them with several shadow balls.
"Greninja! Use double team!"
Ash's Greninja seemingly split into multiple clones. Crap. I can't use physic on every single one. I also can't charge a barrage of shadow balls fast enough.
"Use water shuriken!" Ash yelled.
Greninja generated a large water shuriken between his handsand chucked it with a back flip.
I saw at least twenty well aimed shuriken charging through the air towards me. I didn't know if all or none of them were real. And I didn't want to find out.
I shut my eyes and turned to run, but I trip over myself and fall to the ground.
It feels exactly like the time I become a Ghasteon. When I was an innocent Eevee. Doomed and hopeless. My regrets and my fear surfaced.
My heart beat increased and I hyperventilated.
The water shuriken flew in slow motion. But instead I saw the fist that both ended my life and began my new one. Tears flew out of my eyes and I turned back.
"Noooo!!" I screamed as I covered my head.
But nothing came.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw a tangle of transparent chains in front of me.
Did I do that?
The battle field was thrown apart. Everyone looked at me in astonishment. I collapsed on the ground as the chain receded. I whimpered a little as Bonnie ran up to me. She picked my up and hugged me. Gently this time. Ash and Greninja slowly walked up to us.
"Are you okay?" Ash asked. I looked at Ash and Greninja and nodded.
"I think we should take a break!" Climont called on the other side of the field. Everyone silently agreed.
We found a large rock to sit on. It had plenty of space for all of us. I lay on Climont's lap as he pet me.
It was silent. A bit too Silent. All that could be heard was Ash munching on a snack. I saw Bonnie stand up and walk towards me.
"That was a cool move, You know?" she said. I looked at her and smiled. "You deflected all those Shuriken with those chains!"
I muttered to myself.
"I don't ever want to use that move again."
"But you should." Pikachu said. he jumped past Ash and stopped beside me. "You don't have many moves good against your weaknesses or fast opponents. It would fill a huge hole in your move set."
I sigh.
"Pikachu. The move represents something I don't ever want to remember."
"But you need to overcome fear." Pikachu retorted.
"That isn't the same."
"It is. And we both know that."
Pikachu sighed and sat beside me.
"All fears. Even the most extreme ones, have to be overcome. You won't get anywhere unless you let it go. Even death."
I lowered my ears.
"I know but... not now." I mutter. Like he'd know what it's like. He's been happy all his life with Ash.

"Stop thinking i don't know what it's like." Pikachu said suddenly. "I do know. Trust me. I almost died before Ash's journey even started. I was scared after that. Scared of dying. But look at me now."
I grimaced.
"Alright." I declared. "I'll do it. But, not now. Fear is most powerful fresh."
Pikachu stood up to return to Ash.
"I understand."
The group decided is was enough for the day and returned to the cabin.
One Good Night's sleep later...
Ash wanted to train again. So we went back to the wreaked clearing with just Ash, Pikachu, Talonflame, and myself. I was a bit more wary this time around, but nobody seemed to notice. After a small warm up (hitting trees with shadow claw), Ash pit me against Talonflame.
"Talonflame! Use flame charge!"
Talonflame's body burst into flames as it dove down at me. A dodged sideways and avoided the attack.
I charged a set of ten or so smaller shadow balls and launched them in a net. Talonflame barely had enough time to activate steel wing and use it as a shield.
I ran behind it and jumped into the air, using shadow claw. The move connected to the bird's back, sending it toward the ground. It recovered though, and flew back up.
"Use peck!" Ash shouted.
Talonflame hurdled itself through the air like a torpedo. I didn't even flinch when Talonflame fazed right through me. In both it's and Ash's state of confusion, I used psychic to catch the bird in the air.
I charged a large shadow ball and threw it point blank. Talonflame flew into the air as dust stirred up in the battle field.
"Talonflame! Use brave bird!"
I sensed Talonflame diving extremely fast at my backside. I tried to deflect it with shadow claw, but it was no use. Talonflame simply moved above my attack and dived straight down in the cloud of dust.
But instead of hitting me and winning the match, Talonflame fazed through me and hit the ground. Hard. Talonflame fainted.
Wow...
Now that was anticlimatic.
When the dust cleared, Ash saw his pokemon on the ground. He recalled it in a pokeball. Talonflame disappeared into a blue light. He smiled as Ash ran up to me.
"That was great! Just keep it up!" he said cheerfully. I smiled a little and felt a pang of joy. Pikachu ran up next to me.
"Nice one!" he complemented. Ash turned around and walked to his backpack sitting by a rock.
"I'll get us a snack! Then Pikachu can battle!" he said.
Pikachu turned to me.
"You got lucky." he said. I looked down at the ground.
"I know."
"You should have used those chains. You could have-"
"No."
"Ghasteon. I'm really starting to get worried about you during battles."
"I know."
Pikachu sighed. He knew I wasn't budging.
Somewhere else...
Two figures and a Meowth bowed to a man in a black suit, sitting smugly in his chair.
"Report." the man in the black suit ordered.
"We saw this new, rare pokemon!" one figure said. The other continued their report.
"It was a ghost type, and we found it with the twerp a few from Shalour city."
"Interesting. Have you got it's name?"
"Yes, sir we have. The twerp called it a Ghasteon."
"I order you to catch it at all costs." the man in the black suit said as he turned away from the group.
"Yes sir!" they all said as they stood and walked away.
The man in the black suit sighed.
'A Ghasteon, eh?' he thought. 'It'll make an excellent addition with the other one.'
(A/n: Ghasteon is a ghost type, so any physical attack that involves the opponent touching her goes right though Ghasteon.)
