Don't Feed The Dark
Something malevolent has awoken in Northeast Ohio. Former acquaintances, neighbors, loved ones-all at random-transform into flesh-craving monsters hell bent on devouring the living. Corpses are rising from their places of unrest. Nocturnal animal-man hybrids hunt in packs. The dead are awakening from within the living… By morning, the sun weeps over streets splattered blood-red as an unsettling silence soon follows, lulling the broken remains of society into believing the blood bath is over. Some who were once respectable in the eyes of society will devolve into madness while the despicable rise to the occasion in a world no longer respecting of persons. It is their world now. With Cecelia, his loving sister Iris and Melanie--A young woman who recieved his aid some time ago--Lyle is content to pass the days in peace and idleness. Well, when he's not completing harsh missions from his combat instructor, that is. But this peace is ruined when Lyle's father tells of a mysterious group hell-bent on causing war between the human and demon continents. Later, when his father involves him and his sister in an incident resulting in Iris being put in mortal danger, Lyle makes a decision which could very well cost him not his life... but instead his soul. His status, his loved ones, his dignity as a human being... All these may soon be lost. His life isn't his own. Not anymore. No one knows how or why this had begun to happen the gates are not one way doorways on the other side is a whole new planet and possibly universe, Synopsis This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places and incidents either are products of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual events or locales or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. Each doorway has something new to be discovered, may it be a doorway to a dark age world or possibly a magical world with magic, Earth can only guess what's on the other side of every Gate. Each country has their own problems and the Gates just add to it, will Earth’s countries work together or fight for control over the Gates that lead to the new worlds. Join Rex Lopiz who has gained Necromancy and the power of Making all sorts of robotic creations, Rex must first start from nothing such these are new powers, he cannot make large undead armies or make advanced robots without starting from the basics. See how other people are dealing with the Gates, the main character is Rex Lopiz but there are times where you see what other people or creatures are doing in order to survive and live their daily lives and what they do. Not everyone is as lucky as Rex but they still try to survive even with Gates appearing. Follow how other people deal with situations as well as follow Rex through his journey. Authors Note This is a side project as well as my first time trying to write a book. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to give me pointers. Some things may be spelt wrong.
