"So she's been there for two days?.... I have to say boss, I'm jealous," Killer comments as they take their trays through the lunch line. Kid lets out a sigh. He secretly found this sudden change quite enjoyable, but you weren't acting like yourself.
"I've only seen her smile once since she came in, and she won't leave the room because she has to wear those bunny ears when she leaves the room...." He sighs.
"What has she been doing in your room then?" Killer asks. Kid drops his head.
"Cleaning it..." He answers.
"How is that a bad thing?" The blond inquires.
"It was fine until she found the magazines, and now she teases me about it with a straight face." Kid informs him. "Even after I made a point of burning them..."
"Wow.... Well, if you want, I can hide her in my room instead," His friend offers. Kid scowls since he could just see his smirk under the mask. Killer may seem innocent and nice at times, but Kid knew the blond had a way of getting what he wanted, and he'd get it in the smoothest damn way. Kid was usually like that too, but since he realized he had fallen for you, he had become pathetically shy.
"No, it's fine," He assures Killer.
"Alright then," Killer huffs as they sit down at the table Heat and Wire had sat at. Kid looks around to find that Law guy asking around for you more than ever. Somehow Kid had a feeling that you were down because of him. As if Law felt his gaze, Law approaches their table.
"Have any of you seen ___-ya?" He asks. Kid shifts, wanting to tsk him.
"No, why? Has she finally decided that raccoons aren't good company?" Kid sneers. Law pauses, frowning at him. Something in his eyes almost made Kid feel bad for what he just said.

"Nevermind then," He says before leaving to ask another table.
"Wow, he seems more worried now then he had been when she was missing," Killer comments. Kid finishes eating before standing.
"I'm gonna get her some grub and head back."
"No Gin, I'm fine, just got bored," You huff as you make Kid's bed.
'___,' He says on speaker phone. You frown and smooth out the covers before rolling onto his bed.
"I... Just misjudged someone is all," You sigh. There's a pause.
'Who did it? You want me to beat them up?' Gin asks.
"No... So, how's the search going?" You change the subject, really not wanting to talk about Law at the moment.
'We've all separated to look, but no one can find one you'd like,' He replies.
"I told you it'll be hard Gin, especially with the money you guys have... Just pick what you can afford and I'll switch out when I can afford a better apartment," You tell him.
'No, we have a year to get the money and you a place.... I have to go now, I need to get ready for work,' He tells you. You blink in surprise but before you can ask, he hangs up. You frown as silence takes over again.
"___, I brought you breakfast," Kid says, walking in to find you on his bed, frowning at the ceiling.
"Oh thanks," You say sitting up and taking the to go box he offered. He sits on the bed across you, easing off his boots and placing them under the bed. You smile a bit, impressed that he made an effort to keep the room neat since you cleaned it. Kid watches you eat for a bit before speaking up.
"That Law guy was asking around for you again," He say casually. You pause and continue eating.

"That so? Shouldn't he be more concerned about his girlfriend," You comment coolly. Kid blinks in surprise.
"Girlfriend?" He echoes.
"Mhm, the one he was about to kiss when I finally got back to my room," You reply bluntly.
"Wow, is that why you're hiding? Because youre jealous?" He asks. You frown and finish eating, tossing the box in the trash can.
"Why the hell would I be jealous? I just don't want to be a third wheel if he's bringing girls into the room," You huff, laying back down. Kid blinks since you were frowning even more, apparently he had touched a nerve. He wasn't sure what to do to brighten your mood, so he did the next best thing. Try to piss you off.
"So, you gonna take a shower? You're starting to smell funny," He comments.
"Lend me your clothes then," You respond flatly.
"There's no way they're gonna fit your twig ass," He shoots back. You sit up and glare lightly at him.
"I'm not a twig you flat chested diva," You growl.
"Would you like me to prove I'm a man?" He snarls back. You pause, face twitching as it flushes and you cover up your face.
"Nope, I'm good," You manage. There's a brief silence and you suddenly start to giggle a bit. Kid relaxes at the sound. "You really don't have anything that'll fit me?" You ask, dropping your hands to give a slight smirk.
"No, I could go grab you some clothes, I think Law is still out searching for you," He comments.
"Then I'll take a shower and you can leave the clothes at the door," You say getting up at the same time as him.
"Right," He says, about to turn for the door when. You suddenly hug him. He tenses, blushing a bit.
"Thanks Kid," You tell him and kiss his cheek before going into the bathroom and close the door. He blinks at the door before grinning and heading out.
You peer down the hall carefully. Kid sighs and grabs your hand, pulling you out of the room and down the hall. "Kid!" You whisper an objection, trying to free your hand.
"Relax. You're in disguise, now come on," He interrupts. Killer had lent you a mask and a jumpsuit so you can walk around without being noticed, however, you still wore the bunny ears over the mask. So, much to Kid's displeasure, you had some how talked him into wearing bunny ears as well. They didn't last long on him though as he tossed them out an open window before you both head down stairs.
"Kid..." You pout at him for tossing the bunny ears he had. He glances back, hearing the pout in your voice.
"I... I'll get you a pie later," He says you both get off the stairs and head for the cafeteria. Halfway there, the intercom come on.
'Hello my students, today we're goin to have a contest It's called kiss the bunny! I have elected one student to be the bunny! You know her as ___, or Slipper girl! The contest is simple, whoever steals the most kisses from the bunny, will get one month deducted from their time here! Good luck~~' Doflamingo chimes over the intercom. You and Kid freeze and look at eachother.
"Why me????"

The Last Breath
When Yezzu first sent his sons to the realm of men, they brought with them the magic of the gods. They created the three kingdoms we now have today being Dremshen, Ex'ol, and Kantillion. In the five thousand years since the gods left, much has changed. Great wars were fought, Universities were built, civilizations were created. One thing remained after the gods' departure though, their powers. Today, the balance of crafting the three gods brought has shifted. In the beginning, each had the same skill as the other, but the magic that was passed down through the millennia has diminished. The struggle for power that started long ago is coming to a defining moment. Plots of war and assassination are being weaved. Don't despair, for we may yet be saved from the disasters to come. Our hope lies in three young crafters. The first is William Divus, who sets out from his small village into the Dremshen Kingdom to study crafting after his father's passing. His questions about his father and his quest for knowledge drive him. Next comes Ehzahn Obasi, an Ex'olian thief with unparalleled skill. He steals for the thrill, no longer needing the rewards that come with it. He has just achieved his lifelong dream, but he will soon learn how much he underestimated the fallout from his daring theft. The last is Ki Soru, the niece of a powerful duke. She showed promise with crafting at a young age, so she had the best training the Kantillion Kingdom had to offer. Ten years have passed since her lessons began, leaving the king unsatisfied with the results. Her life is upended when her new teacher arrives, revealing a secret kept from her that changes her whole life. These three are our heroes. They were born in separate kingdoms under vastly differing upbringing, but each with their own part to play in the challenges to come. Here begins our tale of mischief and misery with only but a sliver of hope.

8 93Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
