"Law..." You say unsurely.
"It'll be fine! As soon as Kid's out the window run back up here," He assures. You frown uneasily and he pauses. "....Unless you want to sleep in my room tonight? I don't have a roommate," He offers with a slight smirk. Smoker glares at his offer while Drake peers out the room.
"I just don't want you guys getting hurt, Killer is really good with his blades and Kid did send a chair flying at me without really touching it," You point out. His eyes narrow thoughtfully for a moment.
"My room it is," He decides with a chuckle.
"Alright, Drake where's your room by the way?" You ask.
"B222." He replies.
"What about you Smokey?"
"T68," He answers.
"What's this? You gonna map everyone's location?" Law teases.
"No, I'm mapping rooms I can hide in," You shoot back. You look down at your shoes and tense. "My slippers!" You gasp running out. Smoker sighs and swiftly follows.
"Don't tell me you brought those slippers," He groans.
"Hell yes I brought my slippers!" You say.
"Is there a reason you're about to march into your room where Kid is for slippers?" Law inquires.
"They're her/my lucky slippers!.." You and Smoker inform him. Law gives a quizzical frown.
"I once robbed two banks and won three gang fights wearing them... And that was the first time I had them," You tell him with a smile in remembrance. "So yes I'm going to get my slippers." You add before marching into your room, surprising Kid and his gang. You look around and spot your slippers on the floor next to Killer. "Ah," You chime, slipping out of your shoes and stepping into your slippers.

"Did you really risk coming in here for slippers!?" Kid snickers, stepping toward you.
"Hi Killer," You chime, giving the masked man a smile.
"Don't ignore me!-" Kid lunges at you and you easily twist out of his way, delivering a strong punch into hos abdomen. He staggers back, against the conveniently unlatched window and falls out.
"Boss!" Heat and Wire gasp, running to the window. You step behind them and push them out with ease. You turn to Law with a smirk.
"Lucky~" You chuckle.
"You sure are, but how long I wonder?" Killer comments beside you. Smoker and Law tense but you smile at him.
"Hopefully long enough to get out of here," You say sheepishly. Killer goes to the window and turns to you.
"But ___, this is only your first week here... And you've made quite the enemy," He reminds you.
"Eh... Good point... You want me to push you out?" You ask, raising eyebrow.
"Well, I think I'll give you a reason to," He says. Your brow furrows and he lifts up the front of his mask.
"What are you-" He leans forward suddenly and you feel lips on yours. You gasp in surprise and he sneaks his tongue into your mouth, giving your tongue an affectionate lick before you push him back with a heavy blush. He chuckles and back flips out the window before Smoker or Law could attack him.
"That sneaky bastard!" Smoker growls while you cover your mouth. Law turns to you.
"You okay?" He asks.
"He... Licked my tongue..." You say, going to the window to glare at Killer, he blows you a kiss. Kid sees this and hits him yelling at him for going soft on you.
"Well... At least you don't have the Kid being in your room problem now," Law comments.

"Yeah.... But I think a new one has just shown up..." You tell them, nodding toward the gate as a group dressed in black walks in, following a man in a leather mask. Even Kid stops his yelling and looks toward the group. They pause and you felt some eyes go up to you.
"Who are they?" Law mutters.
*Dinner*
The oddly peaceful meal was interrupted by a crash. Someone comes flying in, crashing into tables close by. You stand up and freeze when you see who it was.
"Kid?" Law says in surprise. There's another crash and someone else comes flying in, taking out tables across the room.
"And Killler." You gasp. The man in the leather mask comes strolling in with the group in black.
"Good evening criminals!! I am Spandam! I am in charge of the disciplinary committee you see before you! I'm here, to clean up and teach you filth a lesson!" He introduces him self, steadily approaching Kid who had managed to get back on his feet but you could see him shaking.
"The only filth I see here is you leather face." Kid spits, blood leaving his lips as he spoke.
"Then obviously you don't own a mirror boy," Spandam snarls, raising his cane. Before it could come down on Kid's head, Spandam is hit by a chair and falls heavily. There's a pause, and surprised eyes slowly turn to you.
"Dammit..." You curse yourself.

The Mook Maker
There are many possible fates that can await those whisked away from our world to another. Some became heroes or villains, given the right power to forge their own destinies as they wished. Others, the powerless, became victims, doomed to perish, at the mercy of the cruel world filled with mystical powers they are unprepared for. A lone man that woke up alone under the alien sky was neither of those. He didn't get to choose what he was going to become - a disaster, an unwilling source of intelligent, yet violent monsters, slowly but steadily rising in numbers. Stranded in a foreign land, without even knowing the language, his creations may be the only company he would ever find. He wasn’t powerless. But was he really that much better off? It just took one wrong power.

The Queen's Guard
Friedrich Schreiner is a proud gefreiter of the Queen's Guard, 2nd Company: the finest fighting infantry on the continent (barring the Temple Guard; but please don't bring that up). Service is honourable but, with the Empire on a peacetime footing, terribly boring. Affairs take a dramatic turn for the worse when a mysterious invader uses a forgotten and taboo magical means to breach the capital, plunging the nation into chaos and endangering the royal family. With events spiraling out of control, Friedrich is entrusted with a critical mission. Will hot lead, cold steel, and his determination be enough to see him through? The Queen's Guard is what I'm calling a black powder fantasy story: it's set in a loose equivalent of the early 18th century (plus or minus a few pieces I decided I wanted or didn't want). Magic exists, but not in a spell-slinging sort of way: it's Earth-shaking undertakings or minor enchantments forged in by master craftsmen, the grand working of a secretive cabal or a slight nudge to the course of a blow. I, the eternal optimist, have a full trilogy in mind. The first book is The Prince's Arquebusier, hence the cover and the title disagreeing! This is my shot at 2021's NaNoWriMo and RR Writathon! I've hitherto been terrible at writing long-form fiction, so this is an effort to break out of that by having some accountability in being supposed to post chapters regularly. Here's hoping it works! I have an outline, but not too much detail. I'll do my best to avoid continuity errors, doing anything glaringly stupid, or otherwise fluffing my lines, but I can't make any promises on that. Please do let me know any feedback! Always happy to improve. [participant in the Nov 2021 Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Love, Napalm & Homicidal Fairies
When Nasilain started traveling between worlds, she hadn’t expected to get caught by a police officer. Nasilain: Traveling between worlds always filled Nasilain with dread. All those men with their friendly smiles and hundreds of questions. What was the last movie she watched? What music did she like? What country was she from? If Nasilain could use magic in this world, she would’ve blocked the flow of calcium ions in their jaw muscles just to shut them up. The scientific knowledge she could find on the internet using the free Wi-Fi in one of the local coffee shops forced her to tolerate the occasional interrogation. But even hipsters were better than Seth, the beefy police officer that caught her teleporting. Apparently, she wasn’t allowed to lie to him, which was fine as long as he didn’t ask about the clone. Seth: Seth had seen his share of bad luck. On normal days, it manifested as a shoulder injury that got him discharged from his SEAL team or wounding a civilian while on the police force. But landing in a parallel dimension with elves in neon green pants, a cute mad scientist with magical abilities, and swarms of carnivorous fairies? That was a first. At least Nasilain promised not to use her magic to split atoms. Content warning: This book DOES NOT contain zombie fairies. Everything else is fair game though.
