"Wouldn't you like to know?" Tsuyu says.
Tokoyami stands in front of her and stares at the men running towards them. "DARK SHADOW!" He shouts. Dark Shadow bursts from his back and begins to attack the men.
"Use the light!" A man shouts.
Tsuyu looks up and sees a man pointing a massive searchlight at Tokoyami. She spits out her tongue, and it wraps around the man, flinging him away before he can turn it on. Dark Shadow keeps taking down man after man as Tsuyu helps. "We need to get people out of here!" Tokoyami shouts.
"LOOK OUT!" Tsuyu screams.
Tokoyami sees a massive blade flying towards him. He prepares himself for the hit, but it never comes. He opens his eyes and gasps, seeing enormous purple and pink wings in front of him. "Griffin!? How are your wings back!?" He says.
She turns her head, and he stumbles backward, seeing her face. Her eyes are entirely black, and her mouth is dripping green and black venom. Her face has green veins all over, making her look possessed. "RUN!" She growls, her voice garbled and distorted.
Tsuyu picks Tokoyami up, and they run, quickly working to evacuate the citizens as Griffin fights. "Griffin, come with us!" Tsuyu screams.
"GET OUT OF HERE!" She shouts as she snaps a man's neck and tosses him into a window.
She turns around and screams, her feathers shooting out to the men in masks, killing them instantly. Tsuyu and Tokoyami get the last citizen out and run as far as they can, leaving Griffin to fight. She drops to her knees as she feels a blade pierce her shoulder. She growls and rips the knife from her back, and throws it into another villain.
"What are you doing, god damn it!?" A deep voice shouts.
She turns around and sees a massive man with light blue hair. He has tubes sticking out of his back, connecting to his neck. His face has a scar of an X right in the middle of it. He has on black pants and thick light blue boots. His chest is covered in scars, and he has an X on his chest matching his face. He has the words "HELP ME" carved into his abs.
"Fighting!? The hell does it look like!?" She growls, her voice harsh and strained.
"You were dying two seconds ago! Get the fuck out of here!" He screams, grabbing a villain by the face and throwing him through a window.
"No! Those kids need to be protected! Make sure they evacuate the city!" She shouts.
"Arlis!" He screams.
"Shock, please! Get them out! All of them! Don't let them fight!" She says. He looks at her, tears streaming down her face. "Y/N... she needs them... she needs them to be safe... please, get them out..." she says.

He nods and takes off running. She turns around and keeps fighting as hard as she can as more and more villains run to attack her.
"Momo! We need more first aid kits!" A student from class 1-B shouts.
"On it!" She says, creating as many as she can.
"WHERE IS THE GIRL!?" A booming voice shouts.
The students turn around, their eyes widening as they see men walking towards them, all of them in skull masks. "Keep tending to the wounded!" Uraraka says as she takes off her helmet.
Momo makes the last kit and makes two staffs. She tosses on to Uraraka, and they sprint to the men. "Get those people to safety!" Momo shouts. The students quickly start to move the injured people.
"Ready!?" Uraraka shouts.
"Yeah, let's go!" Momo says.
Uraraka touches Momo's back, and they both float up. "RELEASE!" Uraraka shouts. They drop down and spin their staffs, taking out four men.
They start to fight, knocking back villains with ease. Momo slides underneath a villain and jumps on his back, locking his head in place with the staff. He tries to throw her off, but she plants her feet firmly on his back.
"Mina, now!" She shouts.
Mina jets through the crowd on a wave of acts, melting their boots to the road, locking them in place. The three of them quickly knock all of them unconscious before running off to join their classmates.
Mic, Miriko, and Snipe help FatGum, and a few other U.A. students get people to safety as best they can. Other pros work on containing the villains with the most dangerous quirks. The entire city is in chaos and burns brighter than the sun. Smoke becomes thick and hard to breathe in. You can feel your heart pounding as you fight with your friends for the life of your children.
"Hawks! Ten o'clock!" You scream as you and Aizawa fight back to back.
You had been fighting for about twenty minutes, every pro hero now either wounded or dead. The three of you had been holding the city block, waiting for backup you knew would never come. You tried not to think about the kids, knowing all of them would do what they could to protect each other and Eri. You forced your brain to focus on the fight and not the fact that your brother was killed on this very city block. Keigo looks and shoots one of his feathers out, stabbing a man's shoulder. His eyes are wide, angry, and feral. Aizawa wraps his scarf around a villain and tosses him to the side.
"MIND!" Hawks shouts.
Aizawa grabs you and throws you to the side, a knife stabbing him in the chest. You rip your mask off and scream as he drops to his knees. His eyes roll back as he collapses. You get up and run to him, holding him tightly as his eyes flutter.

"No, no, no, Shota, keep your eyes on me! Look at me! Shota, please! PLEASE!" You scream as you try to put pressure on the wound. He looks up at you, his eyes fluttering as he stares at you. He cups your cheek and smiles a little.
"I..."
His hand drops as his heart rate slows down. You hear a groan and see Hawks tossed next to you, his chest bleeding.
"NO!" You scream. You look up and see yourself surrounded by men in masks. They split down the middle, and Malthael walks towards you.
"You could have saved them... if you only gave my daughter back, it wouldn't have to come to this..." he sighs. You stare at him, your rage burning through your body.
"Your lover and your friend both dying... and your other friend escaped from the hospital to save your pitiful students... how sad. How pathetic that you couldn't protect those you love..." he laughs.
He takes off his mask, showing you his face. He has long black hair blood all over his face. One eye is missing and covered by white bandages. You catch the claw marks on his face, and you feel even more rage. "What did you do to Arlis?" You snap.
"I made her a hero... I made her worthy... I made her beautiful. She would never have been able to catch his attention without my help," he says, nodding to Hawks. "And you... you ruined her. Filled her head with lies, just like my Eri. All of you telling her she can be some fucking nurse or doctor when she could be a god!? HOW DARE YOU! I will give you nothing but pain for your sins!" He shouts.
He looks down at Shota and looks around a the carnage. Buildings are on fire, and the entire street is ruined. It was the end of the world, just like he promised. You close your eyes, your brain thinking of everything that had happened.
You can remember feeling Arlis's pain.
Eri's pain.
Shota's pain.
Keigo's pain.
Nezu's pain.
Shoto's pain.
Hitoshi's pain.
Your entire body starts to emit a red hue. Your head snaps up, and everyone takes a step back. Your eyes are filled with tears, your body shaking as the faint red smoke grows larger and larger. "Your daughter? Your daughter? Did you raise her? Did you love her? Did you tuck her in at night? Did you feed her, clothe her, bathe her!? DID YOU HOLD HER WHEN THE NIGHT TERRORS WERE THERE!?" You scream as you stand up, carefully setting Shota's body down, a small groan escaping his lips.
"Y/N..." he mumbles, trying to stop you.
You slowly walk towards Malthael, the smoke becoming more and more toxic. "You think I'm going to let you hurt my fucking kids!? Do you think I'm going to let you kill my brother and let you fucking live!? YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL THE MAN I LOVE, AND MY FRIENDS AND I'D LET YOU CONTINUE TO WALK THE EARTH!?" You say. Your face is filled with nothing but rage and pain, your father's words ringing in your ears.
"Don't ever lose control unless you have to..." he mumbles.
"Why not?" You ask softly.
"Because your power is beautiful, honey! But it's like a rose..." he says, weeding the garden?
"A rose?" You asked, giggling a little.
"Yup. See how pretty this is? So beautiful and gentle? When you use your powers to help, you can make people open up. Show them that they can be better people... but if you make a rose mad... you can end up with a hand full of thorns," he says, snipping a rose and handing it to you. You take it, careful not to touch the thrones.
"You need to be careful with your powers, Y/N... if used correctly... you could be stronger than any pro hero..."
Your eyes flicker as more tears stream down your face. "You wanna know pain? You wanna feel pain!? You've got it, asshole!" You scream.
"GET HER!" Malthael shouts.
His men run towards you, and you scream, your voice cracking. The smoke engulfs them, swirling around you as your veins start to glow red. Your tears feel like acid on your face, but you can't stop crying as you scream. You release every amount of pain and anger you had pushed down.
The death of your parents, your brother, and your family. You can feel the memories you took from Arlis as she slept, desperate to know about her past. You feel Nezu's memories, his pain from being experimented on. You feel Eri's memories from reading her file. You feel Hitoshi's memories from his parent's death. You feel Shota's memories of losing his friend. You release all of it from your body, letting it consume the men as much as it had been consuming you.
The men drop to their knees; their bodies paralyzed in agonizing pain. Their screams bring a smile to your face. You stare at Malthael, and he clenches his fists. You hold your hands out, your face filled with anger and pain. You start to laugh, a crazed smile on your face as his men slowly begin to die, their bodies being crushed by your grief.
"Come... feel pain..."

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
