《Location; Aizawa x Reader》Chapter 67

You jump down from the building, landing in a dark alleyway. You fix your hero costume and look around. You see a small figure at the end of the alleyway and walk towards it. "You the one who asked Jax for me?" You ask, crossing your arms, looking down at a small white...mouse? Bear? You aren't really sure.
"I am! It's very nice to meet you. My name is Nezu, and you are Mind Mistress...or do you prefer Y/N?" He asks cheerfully.
"I...How do you know my name?" You ask, clutching your staff tighter.
"No need to be alarmed. I am no threat to you. I have a request to make," Nezu smiles.
"Umm...hang on...I'm sorry, you look really familiar," you say, taking off your mask and crouch down to his level.
"I'm the principal of U.A. Highschool," he says proudly.
"Oh yeah! Well, forgive me for asking, sir...but why do you need my help? I'm just a vigilante...why not ask a pro for help?" You shrug a little.
"You are a very well-known vigilante. You are only eighteen and are very accomplished. And I can't ask a Pro Hero because what I am going to ask you to do...doesn't align with their standards. I have a favor to ask of you...and I hope you will take the job. I understand if you wish to decline my request," he says.
"What can I do to help you?" You ask.
"I'm sure by now you are aware that I was...created in a lab," He asks, tilting his head.
"Yes...that was awful...I'm glad the lab is shut down now," you say softly.
"I wish it was..." he sighs. Your eyes widen, and you look at him. "They are still experimenting on people. Hybrids, to be more specific. There is a girl...a child there that I knew...when I was released...I tried to get them to release her as well, and they refused. I want you to take her and destroy the facility," he says. You stare at him in shock. "I know I am asking you to commit a crime...but she was a child when I met her. No more than five and they...she deserves to be free...and I owe her my life. She has become a sort of adopted daughter to me...I want to make sure she is ok," he says sadly.
"I'll do it," you say, standing up and putting on your mask.
"Wait..really?" He asks happily.
"Yes...no one deserves to go through what you did...and to do it to a child...it's unforgivable...tell me about the girl," you say angrily.
"Her name is Arlis...she is experiment number X2435. She has pink and rose-colored hair and cat ears...she is about your age now,"
"She's a cat hybrid?" You ask, typing the info into your phone.
"Well...they have turned her into something more..." Nezu says sadly.
You look down at him. "I'll get her out, sir. She can stay with me for as long as she needs to," you say sternly.

"You would do that for a person you don't know?" He asks.
"Of course...I want to be a hero to everyone....and if this how I can help someone...I will," you say softly.
"Thank you, Mind Mistress..." Nezu smiles. "I have sent the info to your phone. When you are done, delete it quickly. When you find her, I will meet you both to see her. I will start to find her a place to live, so she doesn't impose on you for too long," Nezu says. You nod and start to walk away.
"And Mind!" Nezu calls out. You turn around and look at him.
"If you ever need something...you have friends and allies at U.A...whatever you need...I will return the favor someday...do whatever you can to get Arlis...whatever you can..." Nezu says, smiling.
"Thank you, sir. Don't worry...I'll get her out," you nod and walk away.
You get to the facility and lift yourself onto the roof. It looks like a clinic of some kind with a factory attached to it. You slip in through the roof door and start to walk through, avoid cameras and security. You see a man in a lab coat walking down the hall. He is short and bald with a thick mustache and glasses on his face.
"Dr. Garaki, where is experiment X2435?" A whiney voice asks.
"In her cage, Mimic...she is resting...we've done enough work on her today. She is going to be beautiful when we are done," Garaki sighs.
"It's a shame she's was so feral at first..." Mimic says.
"She's coming around..." Garaki shrugs.
"I think it's because she likes you. You always give her toys and books and other shit...she looks at you like a father..." Mimic laughs.
"I have to do those things, so she trusts me. I'm the only one she doesn't run from when we come to get her...if she trusts me, I can do whatever I want to her," Garaki smirks.
"I heard you tell her the other day that you thought she was pretty...are you developing a bond with her too?" Mimic teases.
"Of course not...I could never love a monster like her...I just need her to be a good little pet until we are finished...she can only take so much rewind, but we need to fix the defect in her quirk..." Garaki sighs.
"She is such a disappointment. She's going to realize you are lying to her," Mimic says as they walk away.
"She knows I'm lying to her. She isn't stupid...but she wants a friend...and she'll take what she can get right now. Come on, let's get back to the boss..." Garaki says.
Your body feels like it's shaking. You want to scream. You want to make them feel every ounce of pain that they have put this girl through. You look at the door and see a number on it. 'Later...I'll get you stupid fucks later...' You run down the hall till you get to a massive metal door with the numbers X2435 on it. You peek in the window and gasp. A girl is sleeping on the bed, covered in scars and cuts. You take a powder from your belt and blow it on the door code. You try a few combinations till you get it open. You open it, and she wakes up, moving away from you quickly.

"Please...please, you said we were done..." she sobs.
"No, no...I'm here to get you out of here. Nezu sent me," you take off your mask and smile. Her eyes widen, and she blinks at you.
"Nezu...papa sent you for me?" She asks, her ears twitching a little.
"Yeah...I'm going to take you home with me," you smile. She gets up and hugs you tightly. Your eyes widen when you see beautiful rose and purple wings on her back and a tail swishing back and forth.
"Thank you...thank you so much," she sobs.
You hug her and smile. "It's ok...you're safe now. Do you know how many people are here?" you ask.
"It's just me...I'm the only one they kept. There is only one doctor, and the rest are guards...ten maybe twenty," she sniffles.
"Can...can you fight?" You ask.
She pulls away and looks at you. "I...I'm not supposed to fight..." she whispers.
"Well, I'm giving you permission. You fight as hard as you can...ok?" You smile and take a black face mask out and tie it around her mouth and nose. "There...you are a certified vigilante now, just like me," you giggle. She smiles and nods. You take her hand and walk out, looking around. "Can you fly?" You whisper, and she nods. "Good..." you hold her hand tightly as you start to run through the building heading to the exit.
"HEY!" A man screams.
You turn around and sigh. "What?" You ask. Arlis giggles a little.
"Get back here!" He shouts, running towards you.
You take out your staff. "Sorry, we have plans... girl's night out," you say, running to him.
You spin your staff, hitting his face. You kick him back, sending your quirk through your body to the bottom of your foot, shooting pain into his body. He screams and collapses. You turn around, and your eyes widen.
"Look out!" You shout.
Arlis turns and sees a man running to her. Her body fills with rage. They had hurt her for so long, and the one person who was kind...they sent away. She flies towards him, tackling him and slamming him into a wall. You stare at her, shocked.
"Wow...um, you are...scary strong," you mumble.
She smiles a little behind her mask. You two keep running, taking down guards, fighting together flawlessly. It finally feels like you have a real partner, one you've fought with for years—a friend. You two get out, and she picks you up. You take out a small ball from your belt, and she looks at it.
"Is...is that a cat toy?" She asks, a hint of excitement in her voice.
"No...do...do you want a cat toy?" You ask.
"....I mean, I'm not going to say no," she shrugs a little.
You giggle a little and toss the ball into the building. She picks you up, and you fly off, the building exploding as you soar into the night sky. She lands in a small neighborhood and looks around. "Where are we?" She asks.
"You're gonna stay with me for a while...but someone wanted to see you first," you smile.
"Arlis?" Nezu asks.
Arlis turns around, and her eyes widen. "Papa!" She runs over and kneels, smiling at him happily. "I'm so glad you're ok!!" She hugs him tightly, and he laughs a little.
"I'm better now that you're safe," he smiles. She puts him down, and he smiles at you. "Thank you, Mind..." he says softly.
"Of course...come on...we should get you inside...I'll wait for your call, Nezu," You smile.
You take her hand and walk her to your house. You sneak in through the back door and walk through the kitchen. You take her to your room and shut the door softly, trying not to wake the whole house.
"Ok... the bathroom is through there. I'll have clothes for you when you get out..." you smile and walk to your dresser to find her something to wear.
"Why are you so nice?" She asks, tilting her head.
You turn around and look at her. "Because you're a good person...and you deserve kindness," you smile. Her eyes widen a little, and she stares at you. You smile and walk over to the bathroom.
"You can use this soap. It smells like rose and honey...I hope that's ok," you smile.
She nods and hugs you. "Thank you...thank you so much...how...how can I repay you?" She sniffles.
"I mean...you're a hell of a fighter...you could become my partner," you chuckle.
"Done," she nods.
Your eyes widen. "Wait, really..." you laugh a little.
"Yeah! I mean, you might need to train me a little bit...but fighting with you was...kinda fun..." she giggles and walks into the bathroom, closing the door. You smile and grab your phone, texting Jax about finding her a costume.
You both take your showers and climb into bed. "You'll need a hero name..." you smile as you drift to sleep.
"What's yours..." she yawns.
"Mind Mistress...but you can call me Y/N when it's just us," you smile. "Pick something strong...when you hear it during a fight....it should make you want to fight harder," you mumble, slowly falling to sleep.
"Griffin...I want to be called Griffin..." she says, closing her eyes.
You smile a little. "Griffin and Mind Mistress...two badass vigilantes and friends..." you sigh.
"Friends?" Her eyes open, and she stares at you.
"Yeah...friends...Arlis and Y/N...friends..."

I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it."Absurd. Existential. Ridiculous. Tragic. Comic. The antiheroes of "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room" are a kind of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with space packs, inadvertently colliding with their destinies against a starry background of witty wordplay. With a vision as sprawling and limitless as the loveably goofy universe in which it's set, Browning's wit, wisdom and heart are always at play, combining to form a wonderfully panoramic and very silly heroes' journey that visits every trope of its overlapping genres and draws moustaches on all of them."- Marcel St. Pierre, author of "Vengeful Hank" and "Cliché and Wind Go Hitchhiking".(Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed!
