Aizawa walks over to Hound Dog's office and sighs. He knocks on the door and hears a gruff voice telling him to come in. He walks in and Hound Dog growls. "You..." he snarls.
"Hey, buddy..." Aizawa sighs.
He huffs. "What do you want?" Hound Dog asks.
"Look, I'm sorry...fuck, I'm so sorry. I'm such a fucking idiot. I just..." Aizawa stops. Hound Dog scoffs. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make Mind leave," Aizawa says.
"No shit you didn't do it on purpose," Hound Dog says.
"I just...fuck, I don't know what's wrong with me..." Aizawa says softly.
Hound Dog stands up and stares at him. "See? That's what your problem is. You don't cut the bullshit. You can do that with everyone else but me and Mind. So cut the fucking bullshit. You know what's wrong with you. You just don't wanna admit it," Hound Dog snarls.
Aizawa stares at him. "I don't....I don't know what you're talking about..." he says softly.
"CUT THE BULLSHIT, SHOTA!!" Hound Dog shouts.
"I DON'T DESERVE SOMEONE LIKE HER! I'M A PIECE OF SHIT WHO DOESN'T FUCKING DESERVE HER!!! I WAS SO TERRIFIED OF LOSING HER THAT I SABOTAGED THE RELATIONSHIP BEFORE SHE COULD LEAVE ME! For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why she stayed!! Why she loved me!! So I fucked it up!!" Aizawa screams.
Hound Dog nods. "Good...Sit," He nods and sits down. Aizawa pants heavily and looks at him. "What?" He says confused. "Sit, stupid," Hound Dog sighs. Aizawa sits down. "Do you love her?" Hound asks.
"More than anything," Aizawa says without hesitation.
"If you want her back...you need to get your shit together...and I'm gonna help you," Hound Dog says.
Aizawa's eyes widen. "I...really?" He asks softly.
"Yes. Simply because I need Mind back before I murder someone...and Eri is an angel who deserves a good mom and dad...so does Hitoshi," Hound Dog snarls.

"Thank you..." Aizawa says softly.
"I expect you to be here, every day at 5 o'clock," Hound Dog says sternly.
"Of course," Aizawa nods.
"Good...now...cut the bullshit. What do you want to be able to do for her as her partner? What could you have done differently, that would have shown her you were listening and acknowledged her feelings?" Hound Dog asks.
Aizawa sits back a little and begins to think. "Well..."
They talk for a few hours before Hound Dog gives him homework and sends him on his way. He gets to the dorms and walks in. He sighs when he sees the students talking in the main room. Eri is sitting on Hitoshi's lap sniffling.
"It's ok Eri...if the plan works, we can all sneak out and go see her!" Denki smiles.
"You aren't going to sneak out," Aizawa says softly. He walks over to them and they all stare at him.
"Mr. Aizawa-"
"Denki, please. You don't need to sneak out to see her. I bought enough tickets to her graduation for all of you to go," he says softly.
Hitoshi's eyes light up. "That's a lot of tickets," he says softly.
"Yeah well, it's a big deal and I know she will be less nervous if she knows her kids are there," Aizawa says. "Look. I messed up. I messed up big time...and I don't know how to even begin to apologize to all of you...I'm so sorry. As your teacher I should have prioritized you all...and as a father...I should have prioritized the two of you," Aizawa says looking at Hitoshi and Eri. "If there is anything I can do to make up for it...I'll do it," he says sternly.
Denki smirks. "I've got an idea...but, we need to discuss it," he smiles. Aizawa nods and walks away. He can't make out what they are saying...but it doesn't sound promising.

"Alright...you can come back," Denki laughs. Aizawa walks over and stands in front of his stupids. "We want you to do the entire obstacle course Mic had us do when you were gone," Denki smiles.
"That's not that bad," Aizawa nods.
"Wait till you see it," Sero chuckles.
"And you need to wear a pink tutu," Bakugou snaps. Everyone looks at him and Aizawa's eyes widen. "That's for missing the dance recital," Bakugou grumbles.
"Yeah," Eri nods.
Aizawa nods. "Alright...pink tutu and obstacle course...anything else?" He asks.
"We want to be invited to family dinners!" Denki smiles.
"Yeah!" The class agrees.
"Ok...how about once a week...I cook dinner and we eat together here?" He says. Everyone nods in agreement.
"Good...I promise, this won't happen again..." he says softly.
"It better not," Shoto snaps.
Everyone heads off to bed and Aizawa tucks Eri in. "Is mommy mad at us?" She asks softly.
"No, sweetie. Mommy is only mad at daddy and that's ok. Daddy made a really big mistake and she has every right to be mad," he says softly.
"Oh...are you gonna fix it?" She asks.
"I'm gonna try," he nods.
"Ok...you should ask Shoto what to do...he's really romantic," she says happily.
"Oh?" Aizawa chuckles.
"Yeah...Hitoshi was sad one day and Shoto made it snow for a snowball fight! It was so fun!" She giggles. His heart breaks he missed so much that he was never going to be able to get back.
"I'm glad you had fun," he smiles.
"Daddy...can I do my recital for you?" She asks.
His eyes widen. "Of course you can!! How about this...I'll ask uncle Hizashi to set up a big stage for you with lights and everything...then you can do it for the whole class again," he smiles and her eyes light up.
"Really!?" She says.
"Yeah!" He chuckles.
"Ok! I need a week to practice with Momo again!" She nods.
"Ok, sweetie...get some sleep," he smiles. He kisses her head softly and starts to walk out.
"Daddy...can you call mommy and tell her I said goodnight?" She says as he eyes flutter closed.
"Of course," he nods.
"Promise?" She sighs.
"Cross my heart."
He walks back to his apartment and sits on the bed, staring at your contact in his phone.
My Wife
He takes a deep breath and hits dial. His hands shake as the line rings.
Hi, this is Y/N! Leave a message after the beep!
"Hey...it's me...umm...Eri wanted me to call you to say good night...I didn't want to bug you...but umm...she made me promise...crossed my heart and everything...I know you are probably studying....I know you'll do great tomorrow...make sure you don't drink coffee before your exam...the last time it gave you too much energy and your hands wouldn't stop shaking....umm...ok...bye," he hangs up and drops his phone.
He runs his fingers through his hair and closes his eyes. He wanted to call again just to listen to your voicemail. He gets up and walks to the dresser to grab clothes for after his shower. He sees a picture frame missing and shrugs. He grabs some boxers and heads into the bathroom.
You sat on the bed in Mikko's guest room sobbing as you listened to his voicemail. Clutched tightly in your hands was the family picture of you, Aizawa, Hitoshi, and Eri you asked Mikko to steal for you. The glass was wet with tears.
You listened to it 43 times before you fell asleep.

The BLOODLANDS
The story follows a young lord in which a middle-aged man reincarnated into the body and gets a second chance at using the knowledge he learns from reading in his past life. No longer bound to the world of his library and university but in a world in which if he failed not only his death but the death of others are in his hands. This concept of the book came about from having two mild heart attacks and the regrets of not being more active in my younger life. Note: The cover of the book is from a painting of Richard the Lionheart at the Battle of Arsuf (1191) during the Third Crusade where he defeated Saladin. Painting by Gustave Doré (19th century).
