The next day you and all of the other teachers spent the whole day setting up for the school dance. The entire school was buzzing with excitement. All of the students rushed out of classes and spent the rest of their day getting ready for the dance.
"Why the hell are we doing a dance and a festival?" Ectoplasm asks.
"Because the kids have been working hard, and they deserve a little fun!" Hound Dog growls.
"Plus, dances are fun, and the festival is like, months away!" Midnight smiles.
You finish setting up the dance hall and head back to the apartment to get dressed. You both shower and quickly change, leaving you enough time to get Eri ready. You check yourself over in the mirror and smile a little. You had on a long sleeve, simple black dress that complimented your figure and a pair of flats.
"Babe, you ready?" Aizawa calls.
"Yeah!" You grab your cell and walk out.
You stop, and your eyes widen. He has on an all-black suit with a black shirt and a light grey tie. His hair is tied back, half up, half down, and his shoes are matte black. "Hi," you say softly.
"You look so beautiful," he smiles.
"Me? Have you seen what you look like? Shota, you look so handsome," you giggle.
His cheeks flush, and he shrugs. "Come on. We need to make sure Eri isn't covered in glitter," He smirks.
You make your way to the student dorms and walk inside. You smile as you see the class 1-A boys standing around Eri trying to help do her hair. "Brush," Bakugou snaps.
Denki hands him the brush as Izuku gives him another hair tie. Aizawa turns around, trying not to laugh. You walk over and see Eri eating some berries as she talks to Shoto. Bakugou finishes and smirks.
"Alright ya brat, you're done," he sighs.
He hair is in a perfect bun on top of her head. "Thank you, Suki!" She giggles as she looks in the mirror. "Hi, mommy!" She says happily.

"Hi, sweetie! You look so pretty! Let's go get your dress on," you smile, and she takes your hand as you walk her to her room.
Aizawa walks in and smiles at all of them. "You guys look sharp," he smirks.
Denki smiles and fixes his bright yellow tie. "I still would have preferred a bit more color than dark gray with a hint of yellow, but...."
"Woah! Denki, you look awesome!" Sero smiles as he walks out.
Denki's cheeks turn pink, and he smiles. "Umm, thanks...you...you look...cool," he says softly.
Shoto looks at Denki and Sero. Aizawa puts his hand on his shoulder. "We all see it, Shoto...no need to say it out loud," he whispers.
"Got it," Shoto nods.
You finish getting Eri dressed in a cute sparkly black dress. You walk out, and Aizawa smiles. His chest flutters, and he feels his cheeks heat and turn pink. He takes your hand and smiles. "I don't want any of you to be late," He says, and they all nod. You glance at Shoto and smile.
"If anyone wants to head over with us, come on," you smile. Shoto quickly follows you out the door along with Denki and Sero.
"See? Pecking order," Denki whispers to Aizawa.
"Oh my god," Aizawa sighs.
You all get to the hall and smile. Most of the other classes are already there, and Mic is already blasting music as he smiles at Rumi. Shoto looks around and sees Hitoshi. He has on black pants, a black shirt, and a purple vest with a matching tie. Shoto smiles and walks over to him. Denki and Sero smile and step onto the dance floor. The rest of the class slowly makes their way inside as you and Aizawa lean against a wall with the other teachers, overseeing everyone. Mina runs up to Aizawa and whispers something in his ear. He nods and glances at you.

"I'll be back," he whispers. He runs out with Mina and sees Jirou sitting on the floor, her hands in her head. He kneels in front of her and puts a hand on her shoulder. "What's going on, kid?" He asks.
She looks up, her face red and her eyes slightly puffy. "I...I can't tie my stupid tie," she sniffles.
"Ok...let me show you how," he smiles a little. He undoes his tie and smiles. "Ties are a pain in the ass...this is why I don't wear them," he shrugs.
"Mina said that you don't wear ties because you only wear pajamas," she sniffles.
"Well...that too," he shrugs. She wipes her face and sniffles. He goes through the steps slowly as she follows. "Perfect, now just pull," he smiles. She pulls and fixes it, smiling a little. "See? Pain in the ass, right?" He smirks, and she laughs a little. He stands up and helps her up.
She glances to the entrance and fiddles with her fingers."What if...what if people...."
"If anyone says a word, I'll strangle them with my tie...go have fun," he nods. She smiles a little and walks into the dance.
Momo walks up to her and smiles. "There you are! I was worried you stood me up! Let's dance!" She smiles.
She pulls Jirou onto the dance floor with the rest of her class, and Jirou laughs. Aizawa walks back over to you and smiles. You kiss his cheek and lean your head on his shoulder. "Dadzawa emergency?" You ask softly.
"Yeah...all good. Where is Eri?" He asks. You point, and Aizawa laughs. She is standing on Tamaki's feet as he moves back and forth, her face bright red from laughing.
"Please tell me,"
"I already took about fifty pictures," You giggle, and he smirks.
"Well...did you wanna dance?" He asks softly.
"Absolutely not," you smile, and he sighs.
"Oh, thank god," he sighs. He wraps his arm around your waist and smiles. "This. This is why I love you," he whispers. You smile, and he kisses your cheek.
It's midnight by the time the last few students leave, some heading to their dorms and others heading home for the weekend. You carry Eri to her room and tuck her in bed, careful not to wake her. You and Aizawa get back to his apartment and strip down.
"You were right...I'm fucking exhausted," he smiles.
"I told ya," you giggle. You slip on one of his sweatshirts and crawl into bed. He strips down to his boxers and crawls in next to you, holding you close to him.
"Goodnight, Kitty," he yawns.
"Goodnight, Shota," you smile. You close your eyes and quickly fall asleep in his arms.
Aizawa's phone rings at around three in the morning. He rolls over and sits up to answer it.
"Hello...."
"Yes, this is Shota Aizawa...."
"Oh my god...."
You roll over and sit up, yawning. You glance at the clock and blink a few times.
"What Hospital?" He asks quickly.
He gets out of bed and grabs a pair of sweat pants. Without thinking, you get up and put on a pair of leggings. You grab your keys and wallet as he slips on shoes and a shirt. He tosses you his keys as you both sprint to the door. You get to his car and get into the driver's seat. You start the car, and his eyes widen.
"Heis Hospital," he says.
You pull out of the parking space and fly down the road, speeding to the hospital. He hangs up his hands, shaking as he pulls back his hair. "Shota, what happened?" You say focusing on the road.
"Hitoshi...he...his home got broken into...he...he was stabbed...he's in surgery right now...."

Humanity's End
Given a year to prepare by the mysterious ‘system’ for contact with the wider galaxy, humanity must work to ensure the Earth’s defense is ready to meet any challenge. Sadly, most of the world seems dedicated to tearing itself apart as the year-end deadline gets closer. The west is in barely contained Chaos, while the east descends into internal conflict and war. The Pillar Forts, one of the few successful projects of the United Nations headed by the United States, stand ready to defend humanity against any invasion that may come through the strange Connection Pillars that appeared on each continent. Massive steel and stone walls that surround the Connection Pillars. They are filled with deadly men and women trained in all manner of warfare, each trained in the newly acquired System with skills and magical abilities that they put to deadly purpose. Beside these brave warriors, tanks, helicopters, artillery and more stand ready to defend humanity at each of these powerful installations. But, can they overcome the disparity in levels and experience between themselves and the forces that threaten them and the rest of humanity? Main Characters Jessica Brown- A young African American girl. Her 18th birthday in Detroit was the same day the systems message appeared. She discovered she was Level 7, much higher than most of the rest of the world. Why she is blessed, or cursed, with the power she doesn’t know. But what she does know is that she rather likes the feeling that comes with manipulating magic. The week after her birthday, government workers started testing every person in the US in a massive census effort of skills and abilities. Jessica Brown found herself conscripted into the US Magical Corp, a new branch of the US Military, and shipped off to a Pillar Fort. Somewhere hot and muggy in her ancestors’ home of Africa. As she grows stronger, she finds she has some connection to the pillars. While everyone else sees beauty or danger when they look at the pillars, after connection is made all Jessica can see is a Tree. A tree the size of the entire universe. Isaka Smith - is a third generation American and farmer who just wants to be left alone. But she is dragged into the situation by events beyond her control. When people in her small town had to deal with rioters and looters after the system announcement, she rallied them to defend themselves, earning her a trait that the government found extraordinarily useful. After a visit to a local reservation, she finds herself conscripted to lead one of the many small support towns erected around the great pillar forts. Not near her old home, but in far-flung Africa. John McIntire, the “Fighting Bull” -The commander of the African Fort, but because of circumstances beyond his ability to contend with shortly after taking command after being re-activated from retirement, he finds communication with his chain of command increasingly difficult. The US government, hell, even the United Nations, seems to have fallen into complete and utter chaos. The African Union is embroiled in a bitter civil war just outside his door, and supposedly, most of the world governments are in similar situations. Meanwhile, John must do his best to be ready to facilitate diplomacy, or to match the hostile argument of whatever force might come through the pillar of light when the year timer finishes counting down. Can our heros defend Earth from outside threats, while it tares itself apart? Or will they need to rebuild from the ground up? DEDICATION: This story is dedicated to my father who passed away recently. Jim Holloway, you’ll be missed you old silverback gorilla. Love you dad. Always have, always will.
