《Location; Aizawa x Reader》Chapter 20

It had been two days since Eri healed you. You felt fantastic but of course, the hospital had insisted you stay a little longer to ensure that you were completely fine. Koa had stayed with you the entire time. Hawks stopped in and wished you a speedy recovery. Even some students from Class 1-A came by with flowers. The only thing that shocked them was that you were a vigilante.
"I have been for a while...before I met Aizawa," you smile a little.
"Are you a vigilante?" Denki asks Koa. Shinso glances at him and Koa laughs.
"No way, man! My baby sis is the fighter," Koa chuckles.
You smile a little. "Hey, uh, did anyone else get hurt?" You ask Koa softly.
"No, minor bumps and bruises but nothing serious," he smiles.
"Ok...I hope I can find that new guy...what was his name...." You look down, your memory still fuzzy.
"Predictor! That guy was awesome!" Denki smiles. They all agree and Shinso smiles a little at Koa.
"I'm just glad you all are ok," Koa smiles happily. They all talk to you a little longer before leaving. The only person you hadn't seen was Aizawa.
"Is he ok?" You ask Koa.
"I think so...I think he just...wants you to rest," Koa smiles. You nod a little and look down.
"What did it feel like?" Koa asks. You look up at him and raise an eyebrow. "Dying...what did it feel like? Were you scared?" He asks softly.
"No...it just felt...lonely. I don't really remember anything. I just remember feeling...alone," you say softly. He grabs your hand and squeezes it. You look up at him and smile a little.
"I'm so glad you are ok," he says softly.
"Me too, Koa," you smile sweetly.
Koa sits up and smiles. "I'll be back, I'm getting kinda hungry. You want anything?" He smiles. You shake your head no and he nods. He walks out and closes the door behind him.
"You think too loud," he sighs seeing Aizawa pace the halls. He stops and looks at him. "Just...go in there and talk to her," Koa sighs and smiles a little. He walks away and AIzawa stares at the door.

He walks in and you look up at the door. "Shota..." you smile a little. He walks to you and quickly takes your hand. He sits in the chair next to your bed and puts his head on your lap as he sobs. Your eyes widen and you stare down at him.
"I thought I lost you...I thought...I thought it happened again...I...I don't know what I would have done...I'm so sorry...I shouldn't have waited to tell you. It should take a life or death situation to fucking tell you I love you! I don't know why I'm so god damn afraid! I'm...I'm so afraid of loosing you...I'm afraid of loosing Eri...I'm afraid of loosing my students...I'm afraid of loosing Hizashi...I can't survive another one of you leaving me...I can't," He sobs.
Your heart shatters. You stroke his head softly as he sobs in your lap. "I know I'm an ass...I know I don't deserve you...but fuck...the idea that I could have lost you and Eri...I...I can't lose my girls." He whimpers.
"Shhh I know....I know Shota...it's ok...we aren't going anywhere..." you say softly. He squeezes your hand tightly. You lift his head and stroke his cheek. "Shota...I know you are terrified. It's ok...so am I," you say softly. He looks at you confused.
"I've never felt like this about anyone. I've never told someone I loved them before...you...you're the first person," you say softly. His eyes widen and he stares at you.
"I mean, I dated but...I was focused on my vigilante work. I didn't want to connect to anyone on that level, but with you, I want to," you say softly. He stands up and kisses you passionately.
"I love you...so so much..." he whispers.
"I love you too Shota,"
They had released you from the hospital the next day and Aizawa insisted on having you stay with him. You stopped my your apartment to grab a few things. You walk into your bed room and see your hero costume on your bed.

"How did..." you turn and look at Aizawa
"Koa. The hospital gave it to him and he brought it here before anyone could see. Class 1-A is sworn to secrecy and they are the only other people who know your identity," he smiles a little.
You smile and look down at it. "I'll have to get it fixed," you sigh. Aizawa looks at you puzzled.
"What? Why?" He asks.
"Well I can't just run around in street clothes when I'm saving people," you laugh a little.
"You're not serious are you?" He says softly. You look at him and tilt your head.
"Of course I am...I'm not going to stop protecting people because I had a few rough patches," you say. You turn and start to pack your bag. He walks over to you and grabs your shoulders.
"A rough patch is getting your ass beat. Not almost dying. You...you can't..." he says staring at you.
"Shota, I'm not going to give up that life again...fighting like that made me realize that I started helping for a reason," you say getting annoyed.
"You almost died! There are more than enough heroes and vigilantes to help people. You don't need to be one of them," he says annoyed.
"Shota you've had a lot of close calls. I would never ask you to give up hero work," you say pulling yourself out of his arms.
"If you did, I would," he says quickly. Your eyes widen.
"You'd stop teaching? You'd leave your kids?" You cross your arms and stare at him.
"If it means you get sleep at night then, yeah," he snaps.
"Bullshit. You love those kids more than anything," you say angrily.
"Well...I'd wait till they graduated," he says.
"See! Shota I'd never ask you to give up doing what you love. No matter how close a call you have. We are in this world for a reason," you say angrily.
"YOU ALMOST DIED DAMN IT!" He shouts.
"AND IF I WASN'T THERE YOU'D HAVE LOST TWO STUDENTS!" You scream. His fists clench and you stare at him.
"Y/N. I understand you want to keep doing this...but...I...fuck, never mind," he snaps and walks out of the bed room. You grab his arm and stop him.
"Don't shut me out! Talk to me!" You say angrily.
He turns around and stares at you. He grabs you hand and squeezes it. "Go ahead," he says staring at you.
You focus and push your quirk through him. You can see him and Present Mic standing in front of some sort of crushed building. Tears flow down Aizawa's face. You keep scanning and you get to the memory of the fight. Your eyes widen when you see yourself get shot. You snatch your hand away and drop to the floor. You grip your chest and pant heavily. Shota drops to his knees and lifts you chin.
"This...this fear you are feeling...that's what I felt...that's what it was like..." he whispers. You look at him and he closes his eyes.
"If you want to continue working...I can't stop you. And I have no fucking right to ask you to stop. That isn't fair. But I need you to understand...I need you to come home to me every fucking night. I need you to come home so I can hold you. I need you to come home so Eri and I can make you pancakes in the morning. I need you to come home to us. To your family. I need you to fight harder than you've ever fought before...because I can't lose you. Eri can't lose you. We need you..." he says softly.
You wrap your arms around him tightly and nod. "I'll come home...I promise...I swear it..." you say softly. He wraps his arms around you tightly. "You come home too, ok?" You whisper.
"Of course...I swear it,"

Beast
A threat to the galaxy has come from another, and the Union of intelligent life will go to any length to stop it. Military Quarantine has held for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Traders, merchants, colonists, and Pirates live risky lives along the fringes as the politics from the inner systems fail to see the larger threats beyond their borders. A lone human finds himself far from home with no memories to how he arrived. A failing Trade vessel plays on a desperate gamble, while a malicious parasite searches for a suitable host. ............................................. Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.
