《Poetry for the heartless and heartbroken》I lie in bed

I lie in bed

almost 6 am

I think about the stars but they're gone again

I think about great things instead

about Einstein and his sudden death

about Sylvia Plath and her gas farewell

about Marie Curie and her radiation end

about Hawking's ALS

about Steve Jobs and how he left

about Galileo's blindness, how he never watched the sun again

about Alexander the great and his Babylonian tragic end

I hear their names, reverberate through time, towards eternity.

Their greatness, not belittled by death.

It seems to me, that great things...it seems to me that great things have tragically great ends.
