With the military wishing to pick her up and force her into becoming a supersoldier, the media obsessing over her, and the scientists salivating to get their hands on her, she really could use any help she could get. Thankfully, while the world still didn't make much sense, at least she gained some sweet powers that could help her survive, if nothing else.
