《A New Life to Live (PJO FF)》The Interrogation
Advertisement
Percy was walking through camp trying to find a certain blonde girl. And no it's not because he misses her and all the jacked up shit. He wants to know why she spread rumors about him throughout camp. He wants to know why the girl that he thought he loved would betray him and hurt him.
It didn't take long to find her and Jason, side by side and talking. Percy and Jason used to be close. They were friends. Bros. But then Annabeth got her claws on him and he turned. He doesn't even act the same. He acts as if he's not really there. And that makes Percy furious.
"Hey, you two!" Percy calls out to them. "We've got to talk."
They went to protest but Percy just snaps his fingers and their mouths immediately close.
"Better." Percy smiles. He gestures for them to walk in front of him and they do so hesitantly. "Walk faster, my gods." They quickly speed up the pace and they make it to the beach.
"Now I have some questions and you two are going to answer them honestly. Got it?" They both nod and Percy began his interrogation.
"Annabeth, why did you start spilling rumors about me?"
"Because you're a monster!"
"And what did I do?"
"You almost killed that goddess!"
"Yeah, and guess what? It saved our lives if I remember correctly. I didn't do that when we got back to camp and I was terrified I would do it to someone else." Percy took a breath. "You left me right when I needed someone the most."
She looked down at the ground. "Next question, how did you get Jason to help you?"
"She told me you kissed Piper." Jason said with angry eyes. "Because Annabeth was ignoring you so you kissed my girlfriend."
"Do you have any proof?"
"Yes actually! There's a picture in my cabin that she gave me."
"I want to see it."
"Why would you? You were there first-hand. Front row tickets to the Let's Kiss Piper Show!"
"Except I never kissed your girlfriend. Why would I when she was the one who told me not to move while you sliced me open. She was the one who told me to keep my mouth shut. Why would I kiss a girl who helped you two ruin my life?"
"How am I supposed to know? It's your mind, you think whatever you think."
"Oh, yeah, because one day I got out of my comfortable bed and decided I was just gonna kiss Piper. That's how everything goes right?"

"Yeah and then you went running after Nico." Percy has his sword in less then a second, pointed at Jason's throat.
"Don't you dare being Nico into this unless you want to be missing an ear." He growled. "Now, I'll say it again. I want to see that picture. Go get it. Now! And come right back here." Jason nodded and went running off. Percy turned to Annabeth and looked her right in the eyes.
Then some twigs snapped and we both turned our heads to see Nico.
"Hey, I saw Jason running from here and said you'd be here."
"Hi, Nico. Welcome to my interrogation. Jason is getting something for me." Percy takes out his hand and Nico gladly takes it. "Wanna help?"
"Depends. What's this interrogation of yours about?"
"Why blondie decided to spread rumors about me around camp. Jason's getting a picture for me. Oh, and when you see it, just know it never happened." Nico looked confused but he still nodded his head slowly. Just then Jason cones out from behind a tree holding a picture.
"Thank you, Blonde Superman. You may sit right there." Percy points to a tree root that's coming out the ground and Jason goes to sit on it. Percy then looks at the picture and it is of him kissing Piper.
"Damn, Annabeth. When did your photoshopping skills get so good?"
"It's not photoshopped!"
Percy looked back at the picture then looked back at Annabeth. "No, it's not." Annabeth smiles and Nico looks even more confused. "Because that isn't me."
Annabeth looks at Percy's shocked and Jason looks just as confused as Nico. "Jason go get your ex-girlfriend."
"I'm not your damn servant."
"You're right, you're not. But you'll do it because you actually want to have fingers so you can grip that sword of yours. Now run along we don't have all day, Jason."
Jason stands up and grumbles about some stupid shit.
Percy turns to Nico and smiles. "Hey."
"Hey." Annabeth looks between the two.
"Can't believe you left me for him." Percy gives her a murderous glare.
"What is it? Get me angry by talking about Nico day? You stop talking about him unless you want to be just like Jason and running errands for me while we play this game."
"Why should I? You did."
"I left you because you're a piece of shit. You know that?" Percy looks back at Nico and his eyes soften. "Besides, Nico's far cuter than you'll ever be." Nico turns red but Percy just gives him a kiss. When he's about to pull away Nico grabs his shirt, silently telling him to stay. Percy wraps his arms around Nico's waist, pulling him even closer.

"Damn, my eyes!" They hear Jason say as he covers his arm over his eyes. Percy breaks away from Nico, looks at Jason, then brings Nico in front of him, hugging him from behind.
"Where's Piper?"
"Said she had to finish something for her brother then she'll be on her merry way."
Percy nods and puts his head on Nico's shoulder.
Piper finally comes up to the small patch in the woods and looks between them. She smiles at Percy and Nico then frowns when she looks at Jason and Annabeth. "Okay, why am I here?"
"We need your help with this photo." Percy gives it to Piper to let her inspect it.
"Yeah I remember this day. Some random guy just came up to me, kissed me, then walked away."
Percy nods and takes the picture back from Piper and gives it to Nico. Percy whispers something in Nico's ear and he nods. Percy gives him a small smile, that Nico returns.
"Alright Piper I need to do something." He turned his attention to Piper and she looks at him with confused eyes.
"Do what?"
"Reenacting."
"Wait, you're not gonna..?" She trails off looking at Annabeth and Jason.
Percy laughs. "No! I'm not. Just, part of it."
Piper slowly nods her head and walks up to Percy. He rolls his eyes and brings her closer so they're face to face. Percy puts his arms on Piper's waist. "Nico?"
Nico looks between the picture and Percy and Piper. "Guy in the picture's shorter. Now let go and get back here." Percy smiles and puts an arm around Nico.
"Alright so now that we've done that. Jason, I did not kiss your girlfriend."
"Wait, couldn't we have just asked Piper if it was you, Percy." He just shrugged.
"Probably. But the look on Jason's face was worth it." Percy smiles pointing in the direction of an angry Jason.
"Dude he's gonna hate you so much more."
"Don't care. Soon we'll be leaving this hell hole. And this time, I'm not coming back."
Nico leans into Percy and they stand there holding each other.
"Is this stupid interrogation over yet?" Annabeth complains, tapping her foot on the ground.
"Hey, stop tapping my sister." He points to her foot and she immediately keeps her foot down. "Thank you."
"I have a question for you though, Percy." Percy raises and eyebrow at her. "How are we supposed to believe you didn't help Gaia? You could have snuck off during the night. Gave her information. She is your sister after all."
"Yes, she is my sister and I love her." Annabeth's mouth drops. "And I could have gone to her at night. Sometimes I really wanted to. But something would always keep me from leaving. So no, I never once helped Gaia during the war. But I did apologize after."
"What do you mean? Isn't she asleep?"
"On Earth, yes. In the void?" Percy smiles. "She's very much awake. And let me tell you she is pissed. It took a lot for Father to calm her down so she didn't kill me on the spot. But we're good now."
"When are you leaving?" Piper asked him.
"Whenever I can separate Zoë and Artemis. I swear they are glued to the hip."
Annabeth seemed to have gotten over her shock and proceeds to ask questions about Gaia. "If one of the primordials try to take over the earth again, will you help us?"
Percy thought about it. "They won't, not while I'm there to take away blue cookies. They may be just as obsessed with them as me."
"No one is more obsessed with blue cookies than you. You actually refused to eat food because it wasn't blue." Nico says shaking his head.
"But then you helped me, Neeks." Nico glared at the nickname but then smiled after he saw Percy's face.
"You've got to be kidding me. You're telling me that they won't try to take over the earth because of some cookies?" Annabeth scoffed.
"Yes. I am."
"What about Tartarus?"
"He was in a bad mood. He wouldn't accept my cookies either. He was beyond pissed after he heard more about what you did to me."
Annabeth just shrugged. "Whatever."
"When did the questions turn to my siblings?" Percy tapped his chin. "Ah, yes, when you asked if I was helping my sister."
"Well, excuse me for being curious."
"Yeah you're just so curious that I'm surprised that you haven't asked me more questions about my family."
"Because I know about the primordials already."
"Yeah, whatever. No one actually knows about them or how they feel unless you've met them."
Annabeth shrugged. "Can we leave now?"
"Go ahead and bless me with your disappearance. Thank you." Percy holds out his arm in the direction of camp.
"Gods, I hate this place."
