《Control (Book 1 of Control Series)》Chapter 44

To say I'm shocked would be an understatement. I always thought my first spanking with Sebastian would be utterly painful and while it wasn't all unicorns and rainbows, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He told me why I got the spanking and afterwards he comforted me and told me why he didn't let what I did slide. I admit I was in the wrong and he was just putting me in the right. After, the spanking I turned on stranger things again and together Sebastian and I binge-watched the series.

Once the series is over, I look up at Sebastian to see him asleep. He looks cute when he sleeps. His face is relaxed, and doesn't have his usual scowl. Instead he has a slight smile, his hair a mess on his head but, it only adds to his looks. His lashes are long and thick, making me fill up with envy. Boys have all the qualities that girls always want and yet they act like it's no big deal. I sigh. The male species has all the luck, I think. Slowly I get up, unwrapping Sebastian's arms around me in the process.

After, I escape from his arms, I tip toe my way to the snacks slowly putting the trash in the popcorn bowl filled with popcorn cornels, careful not to make any noise. When the table is cleared with the exception of a bag half-filled with Reese's pieces and some m&m's with peanuts in them, which I learned is Sebastian's favorite candy. I inwardly chuckle, remembering when I tried to eat one. Like a child Sebastian snatched the packet from my hands and backed away with an exclaim saying "Mine." I then chided him on snatching the candy from my hands which he replied with a pout before, reluctantly whispered out a "sorry." Not able to hold back the laughter I laughed and laughed and soon Sebastian joined in. When we stopped laughing he explained that ever since he was child, him and his mother would share the snack every Friday when they could actually hang out together. Sadly his mother passed away and so with only the m&ms as a memory it became his favorite candy.

Smiling I open the door and exit the room. The thing about not knowing where you are, is that when you try to be helpful and clean up a mess so someone else doesn't have to, you immediately fail when you take the first step out that room, because from there you're lost. You don't know whether to walk left or right, or even if you're on the third floor or ground floor. Sighing I look out the window guessing that we're on the ground floor. At least I know one thing, I think. I start my journey to the kitchen by taking the hall facing to the left. When I find out it's just a hallway lined with doors I retrace my steps and take the hallway facing the right. This hall at the end has a pair of stairs and has walls that are covered in wallpaper that is old and is currently chipping off the walls. This is definitely not the way to the kitchen, I think. Yet, still I find my feet moving forwards. I wonder what's up there. It mustn't be important since I looks as if no one has been here in years. Which means no one would be in here because they wouldn't miss it, I think. Like no one misses you. I roll my eyes, huffing out a breath of frustration. I hate you. You mean you hate yourself. What, what do you mean? Exactly what I said. Shaking my head in confusion, I tuck the bowl and trash under my arm before, slowly walking up the stairs, wincing every time the stairs creaked.

Once I finish going up the stairs, I sigh in relief my heart tired from all the activity it's been through from the couple of minutes that passed. Every time I stepped on a stair and heard a creak my heart jumped and my body tensed thinking that I would get caught at any moment. my conscious tells me. No, I shake my head. I have to know what's on this floor.Yes, I do. I ignore my conscious and keep going the walls covered in chipping wallpaper. I lean closer and sniff, very faintly smelling jasmine and look at the wallpaper finding that it's a nice crème color with beautiful blue designs. I keep going moving on the left side of the hall since there were closed boxes littering the right side of the hall. At the very end of the hall on the left side is a door. It looks as if it was recently touched, unlike the rest of the hall which although pretty is covered in dust making the hall seem faint. I smell bleach and pause, my hand hovering at the door knob. Should I do this? No. Yet, am I still doing it? Yes, yes I am. Slowly I turn the knob and push open the door. I gasp, cringing away. O, my go- "What are you doing here?" I scream, dropping the glass bowl, hearing it shatter, the sound echoing in the silent hall. At the beginning of the stairs are the twins, Riley and Kyle and, man they looked pissed.
