《Unexpected-- Under Editing as a new book》TWENTY-THREE

TWO WEEKS LATER
My fingers drumed against the steering wheel impatiently. I eyed the clock nervously, . "Shit." I mumbled, letting out a groan in frustration. I was getting more and more aggravated as the seconds ticked on.
I honked the horn twice, letting out two sharp beeps. If he doesn't hurry up-- My thoughts were cut short as I watched my twin brother step out of the store, holding up a jar of pickles and a bottle of cranberry juice, with a big grin on his stupid face.
"I swear I'm going to kill you if we're late." I grumbled out as soon as he got into the jeep, Stiles set the items in the back seat and pulled on his seatbelt while I pulled out of the parking lot. "You mean if you're late? I'm not the one who's grounded."
A groan left my lips, how could I forget, I was the one who got in trouble-- Not the child who temporarily killed himself, but the child who had a bottle of vodka in her room. Yup, my dad's priorities sure were set straight. "It wasn't even mine!" I shouted in annoyance.
Since dad got back from Scott and the pack's rescue mission, he's kinda been a hard ass. Last week, he found Danny's vodka in my room; and me being the good friend I am, refused to rat him out. Dad sure was pissed with that one...
"Victoria." My dad's voice carried throughout the house. I hummed in response from the couch, my eyes glued onto the television as I watched Bella confront Edward about his secret. "How long have you been seventee--" The television was turned off.
I sat up on the couch, my juice spilling slightly onto my shirt but, honestly I didn't care. "Hey! I was watching that!" My dad had a very unamused expression on his face. I furrowed my brows in confusion until he placed a bottle on the coffee table.
"What is this?" He demanded. I rolled my eyes, "Dad, do you seriously think I'd be drinking? I mean, hello.." I motioned to my stomach that was protruding slightly, and more visible in my tank top.

My dad just sighed and rubbed his hand down his face, "then who's is it?" My mind thought back to Danny, my best friend. "Yeah, I can't tell you that. Sorry." I griminced slightly, feeling bad for not being able to tell my father the truth.
"Then... you're grounded." He put his hands on his hips. I rose a brow, a smile pulling at my lips. "You're grounding me? Your pregnant daughter, for a bottle of vodka you found in her room?" My dad nodded, "a week. You will go to school and come home."
My eyes widened, "but, dad--" He cut me off, "two weeks!" I crossed my arms, leaning back against the couch with a pout.
Thankfully, after last week, I was able to talk him down to me just having a strict curfew, which was eleven o'clock. "I'm surprised he grounded you." I nodded in agreement with my brother, "you and me both. And now I'm going to be in even more trouble because you took forever in the store!"
Stiles scoffed, laughing slightly, "you're the one who just needed pickles and cranberry juice at 10:30." I shot him a glare out the corner of my eyes as we made our way onto the main road. "Hey, don't judge me and my cravings. They're not scheduled."
"Why couldn't you have just gotten Scott to pick it up?" Stiles asked with a sigh. I rolled my eyes, "Dad took away Scott too, remember? No Scott for two weeks, which is fine by me." Stiles rose a brow in question. "Care to elaborate or are you gonna make me guess?"
I let out a breath, "I'm... upset with him. Slightly. But, don't worry, dear brother. I've got it all figured out." I reassured, thinking back to Danny and I's conversation. I'm gonna make him work for it.
"You're late." My dad observed from his spot at the kitchen table, the moment we walked in the door. I sighed and stepped into his line of vision, "by five minutes. I couldn't run red lights, dad, and the babies wanted pickles really bad."

I walked over to him and gave him a kiss on the head followed by a sweet smile, "forgive me?" I asked with a pout. He let out a sigh and I smiled victoriously, turning to Stiles with a raised brow.
"Okay, but just this once. Your curfew is still in place for the rest of the week." He stated firmly. I nodded and turned before leaving him to his work. As I passed Stiles I noticed his slack jaw, "you can't just do that." He trailed off, looking exasperated.
"Uhm, I just did." I grabbed the pickle jar from my brother's hand. "Now, go pour us some juice, I want to watch the Empire Strikes Back."
Music played through my speakers in my room while I mindlessly bobbed my head along with the tune. My mind was mostly focused on my essay in AP History, I needed to get all A's this semester so I can afford to take a week off at the end of the year to have my babies.
"When you're ready come and get it... nah na na na...." I hummed the rest of the beat while typing out the last paragraph of my essay on WWII. "You ain't gotta worry it's an open invitation, I'll be sitting right here real patient."
I smiled at the familiar words of the song, disregarding my essay as I got into Selena's song, "All day, all night, I'll be waitin' standby. Can't stop because I love it, hate the way I love you. All day all night, maybe I'm addicted for life, no lie...."
A laugh bubbled from my throat as I grabbed my hair brush, pretending it was a microphone . I let my hair down from its tight bun, allowing my waves to fall down my back. "I'm not too shy to show I love you, I got no regrets. I love you much, too much to hide you, this love ain't finished yet. This love ain't finished YE-e-et.... So baby whenever you're ready!"
I jumped, dropping my hairbrush as a squeal left my mouth. I felt my heart racing out of my chest while my singing stopped, but Selena kept on playing in the background. "What are you doing in here?" Stiles huffed out, looking disheveled.
"Singing?" I started innocently, a smile slowly creeping its way onto my face. "Its two in the morning, Tori." I rolled my eyes and grabbed Stiles' hand, "you know you wanna join me." I handed Stiles my hairbrush microphone just as 'Weak' by AJR came on.
A laugh left stiles and he brought up the hair bush to his mouth, pretending to sing. It was like when we were kids, holding concerts in my room until mom or dad came in yelling at us that it was bedtime.
"One sip, bad for me" Stiles sang, I grabbed my other hair brush and joined in with his singing. "One hit, bad for me. One kiss, bad for me. BUT I GIVE IN SO EASILY!!" I laughed, allowing Stiles to continue for a moment.
"And no thank you, is how it should've gone, I should stay strong" We both then got onto my bed and started belching out the lyrics, "But I'm weak, and what's wrong with that? BOY, OH BOY I LOVE IT WHEN I FALLLL FOR THAT!!! I'M WEAK!!"
We both stopped singing at the same time, falling into a fit of laughter. We both laid back on my bed, with my feet at the top and his feet at the bottom, both out heads met in the middle. Smiles coated both our faces, we were both happy.
"I love you, Stiles." I smiled at my brother turning my head over to look at him. He followed in suit, doing the same thing, "I love you too, Tori."
I brought my pinky up to him, reminding him of the thing we did as kids. "Forever?" I asked, a smile on my lips. "Always." He agreed, linking out pinkies.
