Suddenly Nari coughs up a hairball and transforms back into Archie.

"I guess the me is out of the bag." Archie chuckles nervously.

"Oh, fuzz buckets." Douxie and I curse.

"You dare deceive us?" Bellroc asks angrily.

"Well, in all fairness, I wasn't expecting a rogue hairball." Archie says as we get into fighting stands.

"Where is Nari? The real one!" Skrael asks and points his staff at us.

Bellroc shoots a fire beam at us, and Merlin creates a shield.

"Your ruse has failed!" Merlin shouts at my husband. "We must go now, to protect Nari!"

"We're Not leaving without Claire and Jim!" Douxie and I shout angrily.

"Yes, we are!" Merlin shouts and we head for the exit but a blast from the green knight separates Merlin from me and Douxie.

Douxie and I back up while the green knight gets closer and closer to us.

"Foolish servant! You think you can stop us?" Bellroc says as they float towards us.

Douxie and I glare at them.

The green knight raises his sword and Douxie runs at him.

"Magna Tawna Truess!" Douxie shouts and blasts him with magic but as the smoke evaporated the knight is unharmed and about to attack my husband.

"Your magicks Are nothing!" He shouts and punches Douxie back against a wall. Douxie grunts in pain and falls to the ground.

"Douxie!" I call out worriedly. I kneel next to him, holding his head in my lap, and glare up at the green knight as he approaches.

Suddenly green magic hits him and Merlin lands in front of us.

"Stay away from him!" Merlin blasts off a huge bolder and throws it at the knight. He holds out his hand, to help Douxie up and Douxie takes it with a smile.

The green knight gets out from under the rocks and walks towards us again. "Don't recognize me, old friend?" He asks Merlin. He takes of his mask and my eyes widen.

"Arthur... my king!" Merlin gasps shocked.

"No... father?!" His skin is grey, and his eyes are glowing yellow. My body shakes as I fall to my knees in shock, tears rolling down my cheeks. "Why? Why father?"

"After I fell in battle, there was darkness. But they made me anew."

"No! It cannot be!" Douxie and Merlin get into fighting stands while I sit behind them, numb from pain and shock, my eyes empty, except for the tears flowing out of them.

Douxie turns when he hears a growling from behind and sees Jim jumping down.

Jim grabs him and Archie and presses them to the ground.

A portal opens and Claire jumps out. Steve falls on her and they both are frozen by Skrael.

"We propose new terms." Bellroc says.

"Give us Nari, or he dies." Skrael points at Douxie.

"Hisirdoux!" Merlin calls out worriedly which snaps Mailin back to reality. Her eyes widen as she looks worried at Douxie struggling.

"I'm sorry! This is my fault!" Douxie says and looks at Merlin and Mailin sadly.

"I know not what darkness twists you, but you will not harm the boy!" Merlin shouts. "Not while I draw breath!" His staff glows brightly, and chains wrap around Bellroc and Skrael.

Arthur dodges and jumps at Merlin, grabbing him by the throat and slamming him against the window. He impales him and Merlin screams.

Morgana exits a portal "It's over."

Arthur throws Merlin out of the window.

"NO!" Douxies voice echoes, his eyes glow a bright blue and magic explodes from him. It throws everyone back and the flying skull shakes.

Douxie floats up, a blue ball of magic surrounding him.

Mailin stares at him in awe, her mouth agape and her eyes wide and full of love.

Douxie throws Archie towards Claire and levitates Mailin to Steve.

"Get out of here!" Douxie yells.

Claire opens a portal and pulls Steve, Mailin and Archie through.

Back on the ground they exit the portal to see Douxie holding Merlin.

"Oh, no!" Archie says and Claire gasps "Douxie!"

"Hold still. I can fix this!" Douxie says, his breath fast and voice cracking while he turns on his bracelet. "I can fix this! I can-"

"Stop, Hisirdoux. No one can. Do not blame yourself." Merlin says.

"I'm sorry. I should have listened to-" Douxie says, tears going down his cheeks.

"No, no. I'm sorry. I spent a lifetime serving the wrong master, trying to save this world."

Douxie sobs and shakes his head "You can't! You're Merlin! The greatest wizard of all time!" Douxie lays his head on his chest. Merlin puts a hand on his head.

"I saw a glimmer of greatness..."

Douxie lifts his head again and Merlin puts his hand on his cheek.

"Of what you could become. And the greatest thing I ever accomplished was saving you."

"I'll try to make you proud." Douxie says and holds his master's hand.

"You already have... son." Merlin says, exhales one last time and his body goes limp.

"No. No, you can't go!" Douxie sobs, tears streaming down his face. "No, please. I'm not ready." He takes Merlin's body and hugs him tightly. Then Merlin's body turns to dust and Douxie stares at his now empty hands.

Mailin sits down next to him and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Douxie, honey, I'm so sorry." Mailin sighs sadly. Douxie turns to her, and she holds him as he cries.

After a few minutes Douxie Let's Go and watches Merlin's ashes float away, leaving behind a book. Douxie takes it and hugs it to his chest.

"What is that?" Steve asks confused.

"It's all we have left to guide us." Douxie gets up and wipes a tear away. "Other than that, we're on our own."
