《Saving Wisdom and Wizards || PJO x HP Crossover》Chapter 58: Power

Percy's watch showed that they got exactly four minutes and 13 seconds of joy.

Because on that fourteenth second, Harry collapsed.

And the world went to chaos.

~~~
Students were running in thousands of directions to try and get the better of Voldemort's army. Almost as if the world knew Percy was alive, dozens upon dozens of monsters descended on Hogwarts.
The demigods sprang into action, subsequently ignoring the passed out Harry on the ground. They figured Ron and Hermione could handle it.
Percy grabbed Annabeth's wrist before she could run off. "Do you... do you think me dying reset everything?"
"What?"
"I'm dry."
Annabeth's eyes flitted across Percy to find that he was in fact, not dripping water. Rolling her eyes, she smacked Percy on the back of his head.
"You air dried stupid."
"At night?"
"Well... yeah." Annabeth shook her head. "Look, Perce, as much as I want you to have your powers back, maybe now isn't the best time?"
"We're in the middle of a war! It's the perfect time!" Percy retorted.
"The last thing you need is more monsters breathing down your back. Help Harry get Voldemort. I love you Seaweed Brain."
Before he got the chance to respond, Annabeth pecked his cheek and ran off with Nico, Thalia, and Will.
Percy checked his pocket finding that his wand wasn't there. It must've still been in the clearing.
He realized that he would be of no help to Harry seeing that he can't exactly slice Voldemort in half with his sword. But he could still kill monsters... and Gods, was he good at doing that.
At some point (Percy had no idea when) he noticed that Voldemort wasn't even fighting.
In fact, he wasn't even there.
Him and Bellatrix were gone. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were gone too.
Percy looked out across the battlefield to see Thalia vaporizing monsters and death eaters left and right. To her left, he saw Nico's skeletons smashing anything or anyone that came near him and Will.
He looked around the field for Annabeth.
It wasn't hard to find her. He watched as her blonde hair swing every time she stabbed a monster; her eyes steeled in front of her; her face full of determination.
That was his Wise Girl.
Almost as if Annabeth heard him, she looked over and they locked eyes.
With a quick nod, she went back to fighting.
~~~

Ron and Hermione sprinted down the staircase away from Voldemort's demon pet snake.

"We have to kill it!" Ron screamed.

"What do you think I'm trying to do!" Hermione yelled back, firing yet another curse at the snake.

~~~
Harry tackled Voldemort, fighting for control as they hurtled towards the ground.
He wasn't sure when they hit the ground, he just found himself yards away from Voldemort, and inches away from his wand.
At the same second they both reached for their wands and shot the death curse at each other.
Brights flashes of green and red light hit full force.
~~~

Percy ran through the castle, trying to his best to take as many monsters and death eaters with him as he could.

But no matter how hard he tried, they kept coming.

~~~
Ron and Hermione couldn't kill the snake. It evaded every spell sent towards it.
They closed their eyes waiting for it to kill them, but the final strike never came.
Instead, they opened their eyes to find Neville- bloody, and holding the Sword of Gryffindor.
"Neville!" Hermione shouted, running towards him and engulfing him in a hug. Ron nearly toppling them over when he hugged him.
Voldemort was overpowering Harry... until he wasn't.
Harry didn't know why, but almost as if a flip switched, he began winning.
His force hit Voldemort. Before Harry could so much as think the killing curse, Voldemort began to break into pieces of ash, and crumble away.
Harry stood dumbfounded in front of the Elder Wand on the ground.
~~~

Percy watched as Voldemort floated away.

To say he was relieved was an understatement.

As much as he wanted to go to Harry, he knew he needed to help his friends on the front lines.

Running back through Hogwarts, he passed Hermione, Ron, and Neville, who were in a tight embrace.

Percy came to a halt in the courtyard.

"What the Hades happened?" He shouted to no one in particular.

The monsters had nearly tripled in size, and (he was assuming they didn't know) the Death Eaters were fighting harder than ever (maybe they did know?).

Percy watched as everyone fought, trying to locate Annabeth amidst the crowd.

He saw glimpses of her- and against all better judgement- he ran right through the battle towards her.

He killed anything that got in his way.

That was... until he couldn't.

Percy was surrounded. Almost as if time slowed, he saw the hordes of monsters and Death Eaters alike, surrounding him.

Blocking him from Annabeth.

"Percy!" She cried.

He whipped his head around to find her at wandpoint as well as Nico, Will, and Thalia.

He clenched his fists and gripped Riptide, ready to kill everyone around him.

He promised his Wise Girl that never again would he let her get hurt.

Percy's blood boiled.

His face was hot and all of the sounds around him blurred together.

That was when he felt the well missed, familiar, tug in his gut.

Then, those blurred sounds became harsh sounds of water rushing towards him.

Those blurred sounds became the sounds of monsters wailing before exploding, Death Eaters screaming before they had the chance to apparate away.

The sounds of everyone but his friends and fellow students and teachers... drowning.

Percy hated to say it. Gods, he hated thinking it. But man, did he miss that feeling.

The feeling of making his enemies wish they never messed with him.

The feeling of power.

Gods, did he miss having his powers.

"Well, well, well... looks like Kelp Head's back at it," Thalia said.

Percy turned around to get a face full of Annabeth.

"You're such a Seaweed Brain," She muttered.

"I was right. I didn't air dry."

"Just shut up."

"You know, Percy," Nico said, causing him to turn around, "My skeletons could beat your waves any day."

"Ha! Bet."

"Ten drachmas," Nico said.

Percy folded his arms and smirked. "Twenty."

"You're so on."

Will pulled Nico into a hug. "Could we test this theory out another day? Cause guys, I'm so done right now."

At that, everyone laughed.

"When we get back to camp, we can test it," Percy said.

Thalia's face lit up. "You're going back?"

Percy shrugged. "At least for a little bit. Enough time for Annabeth and I to have a wedding. Then we're going to New Rome." When Annabeth stayed silent, he turned towards her. "We still on for that, Wise Girl?"

Annabeth smiled, before bending down on one knee and holding Percy's ring out to him. "You tell me."

Percy grinned. "Absolutely. Yes. One hundred times, yes. And I swear to you, I will never ever take this off again."

"Good. Because I mean it Percy- you take that thing off, and you won't have a finger to put it back on." What Annabeth meant as a joke, caused Percy's smile to falter. "Percy? What's wrong?"

Shaking his head, he replied, "Nothing. Everything's perfect."
