《Saving Wisdom and Wizards || PJO x HP Crossover》Chapter 42: Daughter of Athena

"I should probably go," Annabeth said. "We've got tons of work to do. Keep me updated right?"
"Always," Harry said.
"Good." With that, Annabeth swiped her hand through the IM, turning around to face the Great Hall packed full of students training.
~~~
Annabeth sighed, running her hands through her hair. Gods she was exhausted.
Ever since Percy, Hermione, Ron, and Harry left, she's been running around like crazy making sure all of the proper battle plans were going into effect.
To make things easier, Annabeth made the executive choice to tell Neville, Ginny, Seamus, and Dean about her and Percy being demigods.
~~~
Annabeth walked into the Gryffindor common room, finding Neville, Ginny, Dean, and Seamus sitting on the couches.
"Hey guys, thanks for coming." Annabeth said, wringing her hands.
"Is everything okay?" Ginny asked, noticing Annabeth's anxiousness.
"Yeah, um, I need to tell you guys something."
The three wizards and witch sat in silence waiting for Annabeth to continue.
"Well what is it?" Seamus asked.
Dean smacked him on the arm, muttering, "Don't be rude."
Annabeth sighed, not believing that she was actually going to tell them.
"Okay, I'm prefacing this with that the only reason Percy and I kept this from you was to keep you safe. There are a lot of- uh, things- out there out to get us. And the reason I'm telling you now is because this information will make planning much easier and less questioned, as well as the fact that I know we can trust you.
I wouldn't be telling you this if I knew you were going to take it badly. Also, Harry, Ron, and Hermione already know, so if you don't know what to do after I tell you, then just know that they know, and they're okay with it."
"You're not going to tell us you're Death Eaters are you?" Neville cautiously asked.
Annabeth's eyebrows shot up. "Gods no!"
"Didn't think so," Neville said. "In which case, nothing you tell us can really be that bad." Dean, Seamus, and Ginny nodded in agreement.

"Okay then," Annabeth took a deep breath, "Percy and I are demigods. Half greek god, half mortal, or muggle as you guys call them. We also are called half-bloods so there technically was no lying involved, just evasion of the truth," Annabeth rambled. "My mother is Athena, Goddess of battle strategies and wisdom. Percy's father is Poseidon, God of oceans, earthquakes, storms, and horses."
~~~
Needless to say, they were a bit confused at first. Then with ample explanations (and stupid questions from Seamus) they understood and (to Annabeth's slight surprise) were incredibly excited.
Annabeth smiled at her ability to find loopholes. Hecate told Percy not to tell anyone. Hecate didn't tell her any such thing.
Shaking her head, Annabeth walked through the Great Hall up to Neville.
"Hey, how's it going over here?" She asked, looking around at the students working with plants.
"Good, good."
Annabeth tilted her head. "And uh, remind me again why this is important?"
Neville looked at Annabeth, eyes wide. "Because-"
Annabeth held up her hand smiling. "It's okay, Neville. I trust you."
Neville gave a sigh of relief, before perking up and grabbing Annabeth's arm. "C'mon, there's someone you need to meet."
Annabeth raised her eyebrows but followed nonetheless.
Neville brought her across the Great Hall to a girl with pale blond hair, in Ravenclaw robes.
"Annabeth- this is Luna, Luna- this is Annabeth."
Luna stared at Annabeth with a wistful expression and smiled. "Hello, Annabeth, daughter of Athena, it's lovely to meet you."
Annabeth's eyes grew wide. "How did you-"
"I told her."
"Neville!"
"It's okay. I think having the goddess of war strategies as a mother is wonderful."
Annabeth barely calmed down to register what Luna said. "Yeah well, it's not that great," Annabeth said, glaring at Neville.
"Luna, it was nice to meet you, but if you'll excuse me, I've uh, I've got things to get to."
"Of course. Be careful of the wrackspurts- there are a few very near to you." Luna said.
Annabeth gazed questioningly at Luna and Neville, before nodding her thanks, and leaving.
Walking out of the Great Hall, Annabeth headed towards the common room. So much was happening. She needed to talk to Percy.
"Just where do you think you're going, Ms. Chase?"
Annabeth groaned, turning around to face Umbridge.
"To my common room."
The pink toad stalked closer to Annabeth. "You are ditching class, which is a rebellion that I will not stand for."
Annabeth stared at her. "Three-fourths of the school is "ditching" class. Don't you have better things to do other than harassing students who are training and planning to stand up to Voldemort?"
Umbridge's face turned as pink as her coat. "I will not stand for this rude treatment. Ms. Chase you are expelled from Hogwarts as of right now!"
Annabeth nearly laughed. "As of right now, I'm going to the Gryffindor common room to talk to my fiancé. You have no power over me, nor do you have any power over anyone else at this school." Annabeth leaned in closer to Umbridge, "I have the ability to kill you right now, and make it look like an accident- with, and without magic. So I suggest, you leave Hogwarts, and you don't come back. Are we clear?" Annabeth glared at the former- acting headmistress.
Umbridge stared back at a loss for words.
"Glad we had this talk." Annabeth marched away from Umbridge barely able to contain her laughter.
Annabeth knew that would come back to bite her later, but to be honest she didn't really care. Like, what was the pink toad going to do that she hasn't already seen?
~~~
"Oh fleecy, do me a solid, show me Percy Jackson at, uh..." Annabeth coughed, "Percy please."
The Iris Message flickered, and the drachma dropped to the ground.
Annabeth stared in confusion.
"Okay, I get I didn't do that properly, but no need to be aggressive about it," She muttered.
Using her wand, Annabeth conjured up a rainbow again. In her most official voice, Annabeth said, "Oh Fleecy, do me a solid. Please show me Percy Jackson in the woods of Europe." She had no idea where he'd be, but the likelihood of him being somewhere else was probably low.
Again, the drachma fell through the conjured up rainbow.
"What the Hades?" Annabeth bent down to pick up the coin. She inspected it. The coin was perfectly fine.
Annabeth's breathing began to pick up slightly. She must've just got Percy's location wrong. She twisted the ring on her ringer.
She could check his location... no. Percy was fine. Everything was fine.
Annabeth got an idea. For the third time, she created a rainbow with her wand. Frustrated, Annabeth attempted to keep her voice level. "Oh, Fleecy, do me a solid, please show me Chiron at Camp Half- Blood," Annabeth's voice strained.
She stared at the Iris Message, daring it to not go through.
Once again, the drachma fell to the floor with an aggravating clink.
Annabeth kicked the nearby chair. "Dammit!"
Ginny walked into the room. "Annabeth... is everything alright?" She asked softly.
Annabeth ran her hands through her hair, pulling at it. "Yeah, Ginny. Everything's great. Can't contact anyone through Iris Messaging because the freaking gods probably have a crisis going on. On top of that, currently planning strategies for my third war. Which means, literally the second this is over, we've got a whole other problem- which is just our freaking luck." Annabeth paced, twisting her ring. "Not to mention, I have no way of contacting Percy which is just freaking spectacular. So yeah I'm doing awesome thanks for asking," Annabeth ranted. She plopped down on the ground, preventing hot tears from flowing down her cheeks.
Ginny stared speechless at Annabeth. She's only known her for a short while, but never did she imagine the calm and collected demigod, breaking down on the common room floor.
Quietly, Ginny walked over towards Annabeth and kneeled down, placing a hand comfortingly on her shoulder.
Ginny didn't know what to say, but she had a feeling that words weren't needed.

If a man is told to walk from the moment of his awakening to the world, what will he do? He will walk. What if along his path he stumbles and falls? He will get up, and walk. What if along his path others bar the way? He will push through, and walk. What if along his path a storm hinders his passage? He will overcome it, and walk. What if along his path the sky changes color and light no longer guides the way? He will remain on his path, and walk. What if along his path the very ground gives way to oblivion? 8 239Harmless Sweetie (Rewritten)
*UPDATES EVERY MONDAY AND FRIDAY, SOMETIMES MORE IF I DON'T HAVE SCHOOLWORK. **This is tagged as comedy but I have a really stupid and peculiar sense of humor so yeah. "That's an eldritch horror." "No it's not, it's a frog." "Why does it have ten eyes and eight rows of teeth, not just that but why does it just perpetually scream with the voices of the ones whose mind it has eaten." "I'm just not that good at anatomy." *** Clailip Diancia, the tiny boy who dances along the threads of fate woven by a wicked witch. Not knowing of the plans of the witch that once scorched the lands, and unknowing of the abyss that beckons him forth. This harmless sweetie watches the stories of those around him. Ever unconscious of the turning loom of fate, always oblivious of the stories, legends, and tapestries of heroes that revolve around him as he goes, as he dances, and as he prances, leaving myths and rumours wherever he might set foot in. But as he is unaware of those whose fates have intertwined with his, he is also blind to the soul-piercing stares of the Abyss, ever calling to him.
