"Oh yeah? Cause it looks like you're a Death Eater Percy, and that you've been lying to us- to Dumbledore- since the moment you got here." Hermione accused.
"No! I'm not a Death Eater." Percy sighed. Here goes nothing. "I'm a demigod."
~~~
Harry, Ron, and Hermione stared at Percy.
"A... what?"
"A demigod. Half god, half mortal. A half-blood. So technically I did tell you the first time we met you just misunderstood the whole half-blood thing." Percy rambled.
"Half god." Hermione stated. Percy had never seen her look so doubtful in his life.
"Yeah. Half Greek God. They're real. The gods, the monsters, all of it. Roman gods too. And I think Norse gods too... and probably a whole bunch of others, but I've surprisingly had the fortune to not run into any of them."
The trio continued to stare at Percy.
"So, you're half god?" Ron confirmed.
Percy mentally sighed. "Yes."
"Half of what god?"
Percy rubbed his face. "No. Not half of a god. Demigods are children of a god and a mortal. Muggles, as you guys call them."
"Oh."
"So which god?" Ron asked.
"Poseidon, Greek god of the sea. And horses. And earthquakes. And tons of other stuff actually. Not to be biased, but he's definitely the best." Thunder rumbled outside of Hogwarts. Percy looked up to the ceiling. "Shut it Zeus, we both know I'm right." Percy looked back to the trio and rubbed his neck. "Anyways... that's uh, that's not really the way I wanted you guys to find out, but... yeah." Percy trailed.
"I'm telling Professor McGonagall." Harry announced.
"Harry, she already knows." Percy tried, but it was no use. Harry was already sprinting towards the door, with Ron and Hermione in tow.
This should be fun. Percy got up to follow them.
~~~
Percy jogged into McGonagall's office, following Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
"Mr. Potter, need I remind you, that I do need my sleep." Minerva walked into the room, frowning, until she saw the four students in her office. "Well go on. I don't have all night." The professor sat behind her desk and waited for Harry to began talking.

"Professor, Percy isn't who he says he is." Harry started. McGonagall raised an eyebrow at Harry's statement. Amusement sparkled in her eyes as she glanced towards Percy.
"Is that so?"
"Yes, Professor. Percy... he's a death eater."
"Is he now?" McGonagall said. Harry nodded. "Well then, Percy I believe you have something you would like to say?"
"Uh yeah-"
"...And a demigod! He says he's half-god." Harry interrupted.
Professor McGonagall frowned towards Percy at Harry's information. Percy rubbed the back of his neck, something he was doing all too much lately.
"Percy... we talked about this."
"I know, but-"
"You knew!?" Harry, Ron, and Hermione exclaimed.
"Indeed. Did you three honestly think that I wouldn't? I am acting headmistress, with Albus gone."
"Hold on, I thought Umbridge was?" Percy asked. Not that he was complaining, he hated the pink toad.
Minerva waved him off. "Never mind that beastly woman. Now, Mr. Potter, care to tell me why you and I'm assuming Mr. Weasley and Ms. Granger," Ron and Hermione looked a tad ashamed, "think that Mr. Jackson is half-god?"
"He told us." Hermione answered.
Percy could practically see the disappointment rolling off Minerva. She sighed. "Percy?"
"I told them, Minerva. It was either that or them thinking I was a death eater."
"What harm would their thoughts do Percy? Let them think what they like. You are aware of the danger that is present now, correct?" Percy nodded his head in regret. "Merlin's beard."
McGonagall turned her attention towards Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "Why is it, that whenever there is trouble, that it is always you three mixed up into it?" Before Hermione could answer, McGonagall held up her hand.
"Yes, it is true, that Percy is a demigod. His father is the Greek God Poseidon, and his mother was Sally Jackson (bless her heart)." A tear slid down Percy's face at the mention of his mom, something Hermione took notice of. "Percy is one of the most powerful demigods in millennia, and I do dare say, the most powerful." McGonagall looked at Percy and the trio before continuing.

"I have never known, or have even heard of, a demigod as brave and loyal as Percy. He's gone through hell, literally," Minerva glanced at Percy to see if he was alright. He was so still, she thought she was looking at a statue. "He has fought two wars, and my boy, I am truly sorry you have been drafted into your third. I would not wish that trauma upon anyone."
Percy mouthed thank you, unable to speak. It was taking all his energy to keep the memories from rushing forward.
Professor McGonagall took a breath. Harry, Ron, and Hermione stared at her, trying to comprehend what they just heard.
"So... it's true, then?" Hermione quietly asked. Percy nodded.
"I'm sorry, Percy." Ron said. He didn't know what else to say. He felt awful. "I'm really sorry mate."
Percy cracked a smile. "Thanks, Ron."
"I'm sorry too, Percy. I have a bunch of questions... if that's alright?"
Percy sighed. "Ask away."
"We were talking to Dumbledore, before you came, and he said that this guy named Chiron told him that you hated surprises. Why?" Hermione asked.
Percy closed his eyes. Thinking of the best way to explain.
"Percy!"
"Piper? Where are you?" Percy couldn't see anything. Dust was everywhere. He couldn't breathe without coughing on the air around him.
"Percy!"
"Piper! I- I hear you! I'm coming!" Percy crawled towards the voice, stabbing empousi as he went.
"Percy!" Percy turned his head towards Jason's voice. In the opposite direction. "Percy, help!"
"Jason?" Percy called. He tried to look ahead of him to see Piper, but could only see the battle and dust. "I- I need to find Piper!" He called back. Percy felt horrible. He couldn't choose between his friends, what if... no. He had to keep going. Jason's voice could be a trick.
"Percy!" Piper's voice again. It was shriller than last time.
"Piper! I'm coming!" He tried to stand, only to fall back down again. Sharp pain shot up his leg, as he let out a cry. He didn't remember hurting it.
"Percy! Help!" Hazel. Percy almost cried. Her voice came in the same direction as Piper's. Maybe they were together?
Percy tried to stand, ignoring the pain in his leg. He looked around, monsters and demigods blurred together all around him. Where was Annabeth? He couldn't see her. She would be okay though, they've fought battles before. They could handle this.
"Percy!" Piper and Hazel's voices screamed. They were together. They needed help. Percy ignored the stabbing pain in his leg, and ran towards them.
"Percy, dude, help us!" Jason's voice cried. Jason was with them? Percy ran harder. Their voices all screamed for his help. He was getting closer. He could practically hear them next to him. So where were they?
"Surprise." Percy spun around to find three cyclops ready to kill him. Percy swore. He looked around, but there was no sign of Piper, Jason, or Hazel. Percy looked further out into the battlefield. No Annabeth. She was strong. Percy would see her when this was over.
"Looking for your friends, are we?" Gaea laughed.
"Where are they?" Percy demanded.
"Manners, Perseus. Join me, and your friends will be spared. Fight me, and you will be the reason they die."
Percy froze. Time seemed to stop. She was bluffing, right? Gaea was known to manipulate. She wasn't serious?
"No. I will never betray my friends. I won't join you!"
Gaea laughed, sending a chill through Percy's spine. "It seems Perseus, that you have already betrayed them."
Percy's eyes widened. The cyclops pulled out from behind their backs, Piper, Jason, and Hazel.
"Surprise, Perseus." Gaea smirked. The cyclops crushed them. Everything dulled around him, and all Percy could hear was blood rushing through his head.
With a yell, Percy created an earthquake that swallowed the three cyclops whole.
With a start, Percy opened his eyes to see concerned faces staring at him. "The um," Percy cleared his throat, "the last surprise I got, killed three of my friends."
The trio stared at Percy in response. Not giving them time to piggyback off of that question Percy said, "Any more questions?"
"So many." Was their response.
