《Saving Wisdom and Wizards || PJO x HP Crossover》Chapter 18: Biscuits

Before Percy left the room, he called behind him. "And guys? This room would work great for your defense club."
With that, Percy left the room, leaving Harry, Ron, and Hermione, confused and alone.
~~~
Percy stormed down the halls of Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were going to find out about him, he just knew it. Hermione was smart and eventually they were going to put together all of the pieces about Percy and find out he was a demigod.
He couldn't let that happen.
As Percy walked through the halls, he heard students whispering about what happened in Divination.
Shaking his head, he tried to ignore the few students who came up to him asking for details about Trelawney.
Percy had to talk about this with Chiron... no. He had to talk about this with a professor at Hogwarts.
His obvious go to would be Dumbledore- as much as he hated to say it. Dumbledore was the only one who knew the truth about both sides of Percy's family. Percy didn't really trust anyone else at the school, except for Hermione and Ron.
And now he didn't even trust them.
Percy was too busy thinking to see a ladder almost fall on him. He jumped back and glanced up to see Filch yelling at him about running into the ladder- and almost knocking the caretaker off.
Percy mumbled a sorry as he watched yet another decree get hung up on the wall already filled with dozens.
He continued walking.
Percy couldn't go to the dormitory or the common room to think about this... there were too many people. He needed privacy.
"Mr. Jackson?" Percy jumped.
He really had to be more aware of his surroundings.
"Professor?" Percy turned around to find Professor McGonagall staring disapprovingly at him.
"Come with me." Without another word, McGonagall walked past Percy and down the hall. Percy jogged to catch up with her.
"Where are we going?"
"My office."
~~~
Percy sat uncomfortably on the edge of his chair, as Professor McGonagall poured him a cup of tea.
"Biscuit?"
Percy awkwardly looked at the plate of biscuits she held out to him. "No, thanks."
McGonagall nodded and casually stirred her tea. Percy shifted in his seat.
"So I hear there was quite a disturbance in Divination class with Professor Trelawney." Percy nodded, unsure of what to say. "And that a few certain students left the class in a hurry, following the incident." McGonagall continued, setting down her tea.
Percy cleared his throat. "Yes, Professor."
"Interesting."
McGonagall sipped her tea. Percy shifted in his seat again. It was quiet.
"Mr. Jackson."
"Yes, Professor?"
McGonagall stared at Percy. Percy shifted again under her gaze.
"What happened?"
Percy took a breath, and hesitantly began to explain. All the while, McGonagall slowly drank her tea, and nodded along with Percy's story.
"That certainly must've been frightening to see your professor in that state, unable to help." Percy awkwardly agreed. "Especially since, you've dealt with that particular situation many times before."
Percy snapped his head up, making eye contact with McGonagall. She chuckled at Percy's reaction.
"I have been very good friends with Chiron for a very long time, Mr. Jackson."
Unable to form a response, Percy continued to stare at the Professor.
McGonagall continued, "He's told me all about your quests. They are very impressive. I am truly, very sorry for your losses Percy."
Tears pricked at the corner of Percy's eyes at the reminder of his friends. Percy managed to get a few words out. "Are you-"

"A demigod? No. I am a legacy."
Percy's eyebrows furrowed as he thought about who she was descended from. "Hecate?"
"Yes."
Percy nodded slowly processing the information he was hearing.
"I also know about your grandfather on your mother's side, Percy."
Percy frowned at the mention of Voldemort.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do Professor. Harry, Ron, and Hermione don't trust me, and I don't trust them. I'm not telling them I'm a demigod, but they're going to try and figure it out anyways. And the prophecy..." Percy let out.
"I don't envy you for the position you have been put in, Percy." McGonagall sympathized. "Might I suggest, that you try to keep a lower profile; that way, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, can begin to trust you more, and you them."
Percy nodded in understanding at the Professor's words.
"And I don't need to remind you, that acting Headmistress Umbridge and Professor Snape, will stop at nothing to learn of your heritage... both of them."
"Yes, Professor McGonagall."
"Because Percy," The demigod made eye contact with McGonagall, "If they find out, Harry, Ron, and Hermione will be the least of your problems."
"Yeah." Percy ran his hands through his hair, and tugged at the ends. "Wait. Does Dumbledore know that you're a legacy of Hecate?"
McGonagall shook her head. "Only you and Chiron."
"I feel honored." Percy joked. "Thanks for the pep talk Professor, but I should probably be going. Homework and stuff."
"Oh yes, that reminds me. I spoke to your professors, and they've agreed to lesson your homework load, some have gotten rid of it all together."
Percy's face lit up. "Really? Even Umbridge and Snape?"
"All but those two."
"How'd you do it?" The thought of not having to worry about homework on top of a prophecy and a quest made Percy extremely happy.
"I told them due to your standings at your old school, you've already mastered what you are learning in their classes, and that there's no need to do busy work during your time here."
"Oh my gods. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much this helps. Really, thank you-"
"Percy." McGonagall cut off Percy's rambling. "Do not prove me wrong. I said you've mastered the spells. Make sure you have."
"Yes, Professor McGonagall. Hecate and Athena gave me their blessings to help with this quest. I'll spend some of my extra time reading up on spells and stuff."
"Good. I said I expected great things from you, I still do."
"Thank you Minerva." McGonagall lightly glared at Percy for using her first name. Percy laughed faintly. "What? We're technically family you know. Somewhere down the line."
McGonagall smiled. This was starting to look like the demigod that Chiron described.
