Kekuro was one of the more popular guys at school. He was cute, had good grades, and was very soft spoken. A lot of the girls thought of him as a good catch. It didn't help his case when he always smiled cutely at them and displayed nothing but kindness.

And yet he was the boy who was a little mysterious. The boy you'd be lucky to get close to. He didn't speak much but when he did it caught everyone's attention. He just had a natural aura that drew people to him.

You weren't an exception to this strange phenomenon.

You moved in the middle of your junior year of highschool to this school. You only just started and immediately noticed Kekuro. He was just so-... so perfect!

Problem was... you were incredibly shy. At your old school you barely had any friends because it was so hard to talk to people. And Kekuro was someone you felt like you weren't worthy to talk to.

So instead you made a habit from watching from afar. It started out normal. Just looking everytime you saw him and rarely seeking him out. Soon however it became more than that.

You started looking for him. You had never spoke to this person- yet you felt so intrigued by his presence. Suddenly you knew his friends, his class schedule, his speech habits. Then, you even knew where he lived. Once you followed him home, still not letting yourself being seen.

Your own actions made you sick to your stomach. But you couldn't stop. You were so consumed with watching him that you couldn't think about anything else. You knew it was wrong but you didn't care.

Today was like any normal day for you. You'd get up extra early and leave the home without saying a word to either of your parents. You'd quickly go to Kekuro's house and wait for him to leave. Then you'd follow him to school.

You hid behind a tree and watched him leave his home. Your eyes widened. He looked prettier today but he wasn't smiling. You wondered why.

You carefully followed behind him, his pace was slower than usual. You hid behind a wall, waiting for him to get further ahead so you could move to your next hiding spot.

Once he was far enough away you slowly paced behind him. Suddenly, a crack in the concrete caught under your foot make you let out a yelp and faceplant.

You slowly sat up, a bit dazed. You looked up and saw Kekuro staring right at you with curious eyes.

Your eyes widened.

"Are you ok?" He asked in a soft voice. He came closer.

You couldn't move. You just sat there froze with fear. He saw you. He was looking at you. He was coming closer to you.

"N-no!" You cried, quickly standing up and running off past him towards the school.

"W-wait!" He yelled. "But you're-....bleeding..." he watched you run until you were no longer visible.

He tilted his head. He hadn't noticed you walking this before. He wondered why you were so freaked out. He wasn't sure who you were either... maybe that's why you were afraid. Because you didn't know him.

So mysterious...

He shrugged it off and kept walking.

You ran towards the school in tears. He saw you!!! He saw you!!! He's going to think you're such a creep! He must know now... and he'll tell everyone! You were sure of it.

You ran into the school and weren't really looking where you were going. You turned a sharp corner and slammed into someone's back.

"W-woah are you ok?" The voice said.

You rubbed your head, only then noticing the blood on your forehead. You pulled your hand away and stared at it for a moment.

"Oh my gosh you're bleeding! Here- I'll take you to the nurses office." A hand came into your view, offering assistance.

You looked up and noticed it was Akime, one of the boys in your class. You tensed.

Hesitantly you took his hand with your non bloody one and allowed him to help you up. He didn't let go and instead led you to the nurses office. You didn't say anything.

This day had just started and it was already horrible.

He broke the silence as you trailed behind him. "By the way... what's your name?"

You hesitated. "U-um...I-it's (y/n)..." you whispered. The male nodded his head.

"It's nice to meet you (y/n)." He smiled. "I'm Akime."

You nodded. The two of you arrived at the nurses office.

"Um... I'm sorry you got hurt by the way." Akime said. "I hope to see you later though." He waved before turning and leaving you at the door of the nurses office.

You watched him before turning to the door. You guessed you should cover this up so it doesn't get infected. You raised your hand to knock but voices from the other side stopped you.

"I'm so glad you decided to help me today! It's been rather busy with all this paperwork lately." The nurse said.

"Oh, it's no problem." The muffled soft voice of Kekuro said.

Your heart stopped. Your hand, shook, frozen and stuck in the same spot. His voice was very faint but you could still tell it was definitely him. You were about to race off again when the door opened.

Kekuros eyes locked with yours. You were caught like a deer in the headlights.

"Oh!" He smiled. "You're here. You came because of your forehead didn't you?" He asked.

You just stared at him. It was like you couldn't function anymore. "I-... I-... u-."

He suddenly grabbed your arm and pulled you in the room, closing the door behind you. "Don't worry, the nurse can take care of it." He said.

You trembled. Anxiety and adrenaline courses through your veins. Your eyes glanced at his hand that gripped your arm. He was touching you!? This was too much!!

He led you over to the edge of one of the beds to sit down on.

"Hey Kekuro..." the nurse suddenly said. "Could you take care of her? I need to run this to the main office." She said, waving a piece of paper.

He turned to her and nodded. "Yes, leave It to me." He said.

She nodded and left the room. You watched her leave, horrified.

'Don't leave me alone with him!' You thought. Your eyes trailed back to him. He was rummaging through the cabinets, getting some cotton, rubbing alcohol, tweezers, and a bandaid. He came back to you, standing so close. You held your breath.

"Can you move your bangs back?" He asked.

You only stared at him, not saying anything or doing a thing. Even if you wanted to it was impossible to move now! He tilted his head.

"What's wrong?" He questioned. He scanned you for a second, before locking eyes on your hand. "Oh! I see." He grabbed your wrist making you jump, he held it up so your palm was facing up. Blood still on your hand.

"You don't want to get blood in your hair huh? That's ok... you can wash your hands in a minute, I'll just do it for you." He smiled, letting go of your hand. His hand came up and moved your bangs away from your face.

That's it. You definitely were dead now! Your heart couldn't take it. Why was Kekuro, the most perfect being in your eyes, touching you!? You were trash- garbage- actually... even trash was worth more than you! You couldn't understand.

Didn't he know he was too perfect to touch you?

He gently patted the cotton against the wound, the alcohol on it making you flinch.

"What's your name by the way?" He asked, his face so close and focused on cleaning the wound.

Your lips trembled. "U-um-... I-... u-h.." you couldn't formulate the words. "I-it's... I-... I-...."

He pulled back for a moment, looking you in the eyes. "There's no need to be so nervous..." he smiled gently. "My names Kekuro."

A small blush ran across your face. Why was he being nice to you?

You looked down at the floor. "I...it's... (y-...y-...y/n)." You barely sputtered out, your voice softer than a whisper.

"(Y/n)...." he muttered. A shiver ran up your spine hearing your name from his lips. "That's a cute name."

He placed a finger under your chin, tilting it back up to meet his gaze. Your breath hitched.

"Now don't move, there's still a bit more to clean." He said, going back to the task at hand.

Kekuro... was truly a perfect being. You stared at his face. His hair was a dark chocolate brown color with his bangs framing his face perfectly. His eyes were like deep pools of caramel with hints of red swirling around in them. They were- the most precious brown eyes you have ever seen.

He pulled away and grabbed a bandaid, opening it and placing it on your forehead. "There..." he said. "Now be careful next time alright?" He hummed.

You didn't say anything. His finger was still under your chin. He stared back at you for a moment, a blank expression crossing his face for a second.

You swallowed thickly. He let out a sigh with a small smile, letting go of your chin. "Sorry..." he muttered. "Go wash your hands then to class alright? The nurse will excuse your dilatory."

You simply nodded and quickly got off, awkwardly racing out the door as fast as you could speed walk.

Kekuro watched you leave. He glanced at the cotton swab, soaked with your blood. He picked it up, bring it close to his face. He stared at it blankly.

He suddenly noticed his actions and quickly set it back down. "(Y/n)..." he mumbled.

Kekuro didn't know why but he was suddenly intrigued by this girl named (Y/n). At first, he never even noticed your presence. But suddenly he'd see a flash of (h/c) hair quickly duck behind a wall. Or your (e/c) eyes glance at him before quickly looking away.

He didn't know how to react. A part of him felt... strange. He couldn't explain it.

Were you stalking him?

He pondered this on his way to one of his classes one day. It would explain why he's never seen you walk home or to school this way. It would also explain why he always saw you but didn't have any classes with you.

Any normal person would be freaked out by news like this. But Kekuro felt a little happy about it. In fact, it made him like you more.

To him, you seemed so helpless. He was kind of attracted to that.

"Kekuro!" A voice brought him from his thoughts. He glanced and saw a female racing up to him. He put on his usual fake smile.

"What's up?" He asked.

She caught her breath for a second. "Well..." she glanced around. "This is just a rumor but Astrid said she saw (Y/n) stalking you. Like totally watching you from behind a wall or something. Lowkey creepy right?" She said.

Kekuro almost frowned at this but kept up the straight face. "Oh?" He hummed. "I don't mind..."

The girl rose a brow. "Really? Well... I guess that makes sense. You must be used to losers stalking you all the time right?" She grinned.

His mouth twitched. "I guess you could say that..." He wondered if you'd find out people knew you were watching him.

3:45AM

You slowly opened your eyes, staring at the ceiling. You couldn't sleep. You couldn't even think. Your thoughts were filled with Kekuro. You grabbed the camera off your nightstand and flipped through the photos you took while watching him... of him. Your obsession was getting worse. You could barely handle it anymore.

You just needed to get closer- get more daring. It was like a strange high you got from being so close without him even knowing. It wasn't like you wanted anything from him...

You didn't want his attention, his desires, or his love in any way. You just wanted to watch. You just wanted to be risky. You felt like that's all you had the right to do.

Like you said before, trash like you didn't deserve to be with Kekuro.

You got up. You just had to get closer. You silently walked out of your room, camera in hand, school clothes still on. You slipped your shoes on, not bothering with a coat before walking out the front door.

It was dark, the only light was from the street light. It was cold, no warmth came from your uniform. It was quiet, the only sound came from distant cars. But none passed you as you wondered aimlessly to Kekuros home.

It was like you were in a trance. A part of you wanted to turn back. This was wrong!! So wrong!!! But you had already gone this far... and you couldn't turn back now.

You came up behind the tree, the one you hid behind every day and wait for Kekuro to leave his home. You stood there and stared at his house. You knew his room was on the second floor. You took a deep breath and looked around, spotting a ladder that seemed barely tall enough.

You quietly set down your camera and went over, getting the ladder and setting it up against the wall. You put the cameras strap around your neck and began climbing, pushing his window up as quietly as you possibly could. You pushed past his blackout curtains and slowly stepped into his room.

It was extremely dark. You glanced towards the bed and noticed Kekuro fast asleep under the covers, his back turned towards you.

You stared at him, slowly raising your camera up. Your hands started trembling, your heart began pounding. You finger wavered over the button- all you had to do was just click it. But...

You looked away, putting it down by your side. You couldn't. It made you feel so sick...

You decided instead to look around his room. But as you did you felt fear quickly consume you.

T-taxidermy!?

A handful of animal skins decorated the walls. A few animals- cats and dogs even- were stuffed, sitting on shelves. In jars there was animal teeth- and even a few looking human. There were books on strange occult things and how to take care of an animal corpse.

Your eyes spotted a skull- a human skull. You stared at it, trembling. W-why did Kekuro have a skull!? You suddenly noticed a billboard sitting above it.

It had a picture of a girl, but not just any girl. A missing girl. She was only in middle school and went missing last year. There was an article next to it, stating that according the the police, the girl must be dead.

Under that there were cursive letters saying "" and under that was the skull.

You stared into it's hollow eyes. No... this was just some strange coincidence. There was no way Kekuro was like this at all. You refused to believe it- you refused!

You slowly raised your camera towards the supposed crime scene. Again, you felt that needle in your stomach, making it nearly impossible to snap a photo without throwing up.

You click, sending a small flash that lit up the dark room. Now, you had to leave. You quickly turned to the window, not daring to make a single sound. You almost climbed out when a hand wrapped around your mouth, pulling you back in. You let out a yelp only for another hand to pull a knife to your neck.

You struggled in a weak attempted to get away. You pushed yourself back, trying to ram yourself against the person. He grunted and fell back against the bed, still holding you in his grip.

"Quit struggling." Kekuro said, pressing the knife tightly up against your throat. You froze, completely afraid.

He slowly pulled his hand away from your mouth and reached over, turning on a lamp. "W...what? (Y/n)?" He questioned, pulled the knife away.

You released all the air you didn't know you were holding and quickly sprung away from him. You raced to the corner of the other side of the room and whipped around, staring at him. You slide down against the wall in a futile attempt to distance yourself even further.

He stared curiously at you for a moment before standing up.

"D-Don't hurt me!" You cried, holding your hands up to your face. "I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

He came towards you and crouched down making your trembling become much worse. He moved your hands away before grabbing your camera. You didn't stop him from flipping through the photos.

His face held no emotion as he did. You wondered if he was going to call the police on you or perhaps beat you up. Trash like you deserved it anyways- you knew you did.

He seemed to flip back to the one you took of his room, staring at it for a moment. Then, he smiled.

A soft small smile... his eyes trailed up to you. He placed a finger on his lips. "This will be our little secret ok?"

You stared him, completely shocked. H-he wasn't going to get you arrested? But why!? Any normal person would- anyone with a sane mind would- so why not!?

"I'm going to have to keep your camera though." He mumbled. "Is that alright?"

Hesitantly you nodded, unsure as to how you should react. Why wasn't he freaking out at least? In fact, he didn't seem to mind at all.

"Good." He said, standing to his feet. He glanced at the camera then back at you. "Oh... here's an idea."

He bent over slightly, cupping your cheeks with one hand and tilting your face up towards him. He aimed the camera and snapped a shot of his hand squishing your face. He let go and looked at the photo.

He let out a small giggle. "How cute!"

You were beyond confused. A slight blush sprinkles your cheeks. Kekuro was even more perfect than you could ever dream of.

He took your hand and pulled you to your feet. "Now go home and get some rest... I'll see you tomorrow alright?" He hummed.

You scanned his face, wondering if perhaps this was all a trick. But you didn't see any glimpses of a facade.

So, you nodded again. He seemed pleased by this. He guided you over to the window and only then did he let go of your hand.

You were about to climb out the window when you felt breath tickle your ear making you freeze up.

"I won't tell anyone if you don't." He whispered.

You didn't reply and quickly climbed out so fast even that you almost fell. Luckily you made it down safely and without looking back you stalked your way back home.

Kekuro watched your form leave. He was about the close the window when a strand of (h/c) hair caught his eye. He took the strand and went to his desk. Unsure what to do with it at the moment he took a piece of tape and stuck it to the desk.

He walked over to his bed and sat down, skimming through the pictures. Most were of them were of him with the angle clearly being taken where he wouldn't have seen you.

Most people would be panicking, freaking out understandably. But he wasn't fazed at all. Actually, a part of him found this oddly adorable.

He managed to find one of you. You had taken it in the school bathroom, a peace sign thrown up with a blank stare on your face. Your nose was bleeding and your eye looked slightly bruised and swollen. Your hair was messy and you looked all roughed up.

He frowned and tilted his head. Did you get beat up? Was it someone at school? He had to know.

He flipped back through the pictures and finally came across the one he took.

Your expression was one of slight fear and surprise. Your cheeks were squished making your lips look slightly plumper. Your eyes were wide and full of mixed emotions.

He laid back on his bed and stared at it. Your face fit so perfectly hand that he felt like it was meant just for him to squeeze all day.

It was clear to him that the universe wanted the two of you to be together. Why else would you be watching him? Why else would he be so interested in you?

He doubted you were even going to tell anyone about what you saw wether he had caught you or not. He sighed. He still wanted to know who had beaten you up though...
