《The Journey To New Jersey (Discontinued)》Jim's new Heritage

"Every single word that comes out of your mouth is stupid!" Merlin snapped at Blinkey. Claire just got back from the national park. It was around eight, and it was dark. The park was amazing. But for most of the time she was thinking about Jim. She felt very bad, and she wanted to talk to Blinkey about him. She wanted to find out why he is so angry all the time. She wanted to know about his instincts so she could avoid collisions in the future. Jim never came back after he stormed off.
"Every word?" Blinkey said, "how about the word Merlin?"
"That is not a word it is a n-" Merlin began before getting cut off with Claire clearing her throat.
"Blinkey, sorry for the uh... interruption" Claire spoke, "but I was wondering if you had time to talk." The elderly troll turned to Claire and answered her;
"Yes Fair Claire. Let's take a walk away from all distractions." He glared at Merlin who rolled his eyes and walked away.
Blinkey turned around and faced Claire once more. And they both began to walk away from the trolls.
"What exactly did you need to talk to me about?" Blinkey asked.
"Well, it's kinda about Jim. He just is always so angry, and he had these weird moments where he isn't Jim. Like, I don't even know how to explain it. But he just sorta... snaps, I guess. I don't know Blinkey, I'm just worried about him." Blinkey considered this for a moment before answering;
"Fair Claire, Jim is the first half troll I have ever met or encountered. But he does resemble this one type of troll. There called Jutons. They are interesting types of trolls. Extinct now. But they are known for many things. From what I remember, they where mainly known for their strength. Many trolls feared the Jutons for years. They could kill a troll with a blink of an eye. They had outstanding strength as well and extreme temper. But one thing about them is that they are loyalty. If they make an ally with other trolls, they will stay by their side until they die."

"So your saying Jim could be half Juton?" Claire asked.
"Absolutely yes. I wouldn't be surprised. He holds their many characteristics."
"So how exactly did they go extinct?"
"It was quite sad actually. When the battle of the Kilahead bridge was being fought those many centuries ago, Morgana targeted the Jutons. She wanted them for her Allies knowing that her, Gunmar, and the whole tribe together would be unstoppable. Morgana told them that if they joined their side, they would be granted many things like power. Morgana came to them thinking that they would follow her, knowing there loyalty and all. She tried to trick them into believing that the good trolls where the bad ones. Morgana was sly, but the Jutons where smarter. They denied her allayment. She knew they would side with the good trolls instead, and that could possibly lead to her downfall. So she did the one thing she's best at. She killed each one. It was a bit unexpected, her outburst. They where not ready to defend themselves. They all died that one day. And it was the last someone's heard of their existence."
Claire frowned processing all this information.
"That's horrible." She said once she found the words.
"Indeed." Blinkey agreed.
They walked in silence for a long time before Claire finally spoke;
"So what can I do to help Jim?"
Blinkey sighed.
"Well, he is still very wary of himself. He can't control his instincts with no doubt. I think what would be best is to give him time. Just be patient. That's all we can do."
Claire felt so guilty. She should have known!
"Blinkey. There is something I should tell you." And she told him everything that happened while they where in the shop. Once she was done, she waited for Blinkey to get mad, or scold her for yelling at him. But instead he just nodded.

"Fair Claire, you didn't know. And if you didn't care about him, we couldn't be having this conversation right now. Just give him time. He will forgive you with no doubt. Just because he changed a bit doesn't mean his humanity is fully stripped from him. And if I am correct about him being Juton, his loyalty instinct will eventually take over. He will forget that this day even happened."
She smiled grateful for the wise trolls assistance.
"Thanks. I don't know what I would do without your help."
"Of course. Anytime." He said.
Claire didn't until realize until later that they where nearing camp.
"He should be around camp somewhere." Blinkey informed Claire. And she nodded for her answer.
When they entered camp Blinkey said,
"Don't be afraid to talk to him."
She wasn't, she knew Jim. And plus Blinkey said his loyalty instincts will take over eventually, and it would be like nothing would happen. She hoped he was right.

Claire walked around the camp grounds for a little while until she finally found Jim. He was laying against a tree, looking at the stars. She is pretty sure he heard her coming. His ears flicked back.
"Jim," Claire said, "about today, I-"
"No your right." He interrupted. " I shouldn't have done it. I was stupid and I wasn't thinking."
She frowned.
"No Jim. I wasn't thinking. I shouldn't have yelled at you. Your new to all this stuff. I was in the wrong, not you. You couldn't help it. And your right, I don't know what it's like for these instincts to constantly be screaming at you."
He exhaled. It was quiet for a long time after that. And Claire began to worry. Maybe Blinkey was wrong.
"It's new to both of us." He finally said. "And it's literally impossible to stay mad at you." He teased. She smiled and sat next to him. Blinkey was right.
"I thought you would hate me for the rest of your life." She exaggerated.
"Trolls live longer then humans Claire. I don't think I could for thousand of years."
Claire was happy that Jim forgave her so fast. If she was in his place, it would take her a bit to finally except an apology. She decided the change the conversation.
"Any luck with the armor today?"
"Nope." He answered flatly.
Claire put her head on Jim's armored shoulder.
"How about we try tomorrow."
"Yeah. Tomorrow. That's sounds amazing."

The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus. The Limits of Limitless
Author's Note: So, new author here, nice to meet you from this lovely one sided conversation lol. I was so tired of waiting for the perfect story for me so I decided to write a few of my own. These are basically just to make me happy, but if you enjoy them too that would make me happy as well lol. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So once upon a time, there was a convienent, and slightly cliche, plot device used by a somewhat lazy author.... Which in turn, created an easily made story of how a lucky high schooler posing as a hardcore gamer dies only to resurrect in a fantasy reality, meeting beautiful women, powerful dragons and ancient beings, an assortment of insanely escentric fellows, and a certain over powered ring. Journey with them as they explore the wilderness of twisted imagination. Or for you old timey folk who like their synopsis a bit tame, here you go: Jason, a senor in highschool, is slowly failing school due to not giving a fuck. Like many people now in the year 3056, he is obsessed with the wonderful invention most lovingly called, 'True Virtual Realities'. now by using his obsession with his favorite Virtual Reality game called 'Reality Controlled', which is the first and so called best Virtual Reality ever made. it was basically the all around escape humanity wished for, and he with heaven defying luck came across one of the three cheat items the game developers left for themselves: The Limitless Ring. The ring was a support type item and had the ability to grant wishes, store worlds, clone items, grant skills and easily learn abilities. But those are just a few of the things it could do. Using the ring he successfully became the "best player" and had a herd of fans following him everywhere. It was a dream come true. Until, he was killed from a power surge that fried his brain which was hooked up to the Nerve Capsule, an unsafe prototype of the Dive gear that he bought do to low funds. The end. Or so you would think.... ______________________________________________________________________________________ Author's Note: I was, to be honest, wanting to do a collab, because to me it is sooooooo incredibly boring to write by yourself since you always know what happens next, however no one enjoys a bit of friendly cooperation *sigh* so I'm forced to journey these roads alone.... 'Tis but a sad fate tha' 'is here young'un has t' bear. The cover isn't mine, all rights and stuff goes to its artist and such.

Rise
20 years have passed since the Chaos Energy Quake rippled through the Milky Way Galaxy. During the year-long Quake, Chaos Energy became unusable, rendering much of the galaxy’s technology useless, and preventing Chaotics – beings who possess supernatural abilities – from using their powers. The galaxy has since moved on from the Quake, but to this day no one knows what could have caused it. The only broadly possible hints lie with the woefully few Chaotics born during the Quake, such as the seven Chaotics born on the world of Nimalia, homeworld of the Nimalian Territories. The other galactic civilizations see little correlation between the Quake and those born during it, but now that the seven have reached the age of 20, some Nimalians think they may be able to finally learn exactly what caused the galactic disruption two decades ago…
