(Y/n) POV-
"Excalibur is busted and Morgan's is... is... This never was supposed to happen." Douxie said while he was pacing. I held my self with my arms, not knowing what to do.
"You did what you thought was right." Archie pitches in with sympathetic words.
"And look where that got us. History's absolutely botched. I've lead us astray." He says sadly. I put my arms around him and hugged him, slowly he hugged back. His head in the crook of my neck, "Morgana tried to help me save Jim, but all I saw was anger and darkness." Claire says as she placed her hand gently onto the page where a shadow clone. "We shared the same magic. What does that say about me?" Claire asked herself.
I parted from Douxie, wanting to cheer everyone up, I heard a whimper coming from Steve.
I turned and saw Steve crying, "Aw, Steve." I said while placing my hand onto his shoulder, "It's ok to cry." "Yeah, even if your a big oaf," I said trying not to sound sarcastic. I sat down on his right and held his hand slightly. "It was a big loss." Claire said but Steve began to cry louder than before. "Put a cork in it," I whispered to myself, Claire gave me a little glare. She mouthed 'comfort him' I sighed in defeat.
"Steve, uh, you could talk to me about feelings! I would not tel anyone... we all miss Jim. And, and, uh, Pepperjack. He was you best friend and only friend." I said still holding his hand. Claire gave me another glare 'hug him' i saw a small smirk... I hugged Steve slowly but he latched into me me like a leach. "Woah! Um... it's ok Steve. Just let it all out," I said soothing.
"No it's not that. It's just, the other knights think I'm lame! T-they laughed at me. Said I hadn't proved my worth as a knight." He sniffles, " And Galahad called me a weenie." Steve says into my shoulder, "Well Steve, not trying to be mean or anything but, that doesn't sound like a real problem, Steve." I said while pushing him off of me and walking with Claire. "I see that you don't like Jasmine," Claire says to me in a whisper. "Of course I don't she's a bitch and bitches should have a VIP ticket for a one way to hell," I said trying not to get mad. "Tell me about it. Lately she's trying to get into your mans DMs. As in Douxie," Claire explained. "Hell nah imma beat that bitch to a pulp is I see her trying up my mans like that," I said while balling up my fist.
" Camelot is in chaos and Arthur is without his blessed weapon to defend it." Merlin says as he marched through the door with Excalibur in hand. Whip past Douxie is carrying a chest. I went to go and help past Douxie, "Woah there," I laughed and grabbed the chest and flopped it next to Merlin. I sighed and dusted my hands off while turning to past Douxie, "o-oh. Um thank you, Jas- I mean (Y/n)," he says I rolled my eyes and turn to take my leave, "See? That's a real problem." Claire says for Steve to know between a problem and a PrObLeM.

"What's the big deal? Can't he just buy a new one?" Steve asked stupidly, Claire and I sighed. "No, it's one of a kind type of bullshit," I said with a huff trying no to blow down Steve's stupid mind.
"Without Excalibur, Arthur cannot leave Camelot to work against Gunmar." Merlin explains.
"Which would mean the end of humanity." Archie pitched in.
"And our furture." Douxie says and hugged me by my waist. He felt heavy, not in as weight but as lack of sleep. "Did you even sleep last night?"
I whispered to him not wanting anyone to know. He shook his head as a no. I sighed, "You should get some sleep at least. I don't want you up to worry about our future." I said placing my hands onto his face. But he turned from me, "I'll never get us home." He says with dryness.
"And I'll never save Jim." Says Claire as she hugged the spell book. But a smile crept into her face, "But, we can fix this! Right, Douxie?" Claire asked with a smile.
"There's only one who can. Make ready. I must bring Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake." Merlin said.
"She's real?" I asked. "You heard of her?" Asked Claire. "Well, yeah. Back at Hogwarts we have a thing called Defense Against the Dark Arts, I never paid attention cause I'm muggle born. Anyways, the legend says that who ever goes to the Lady of the Lake will have anything that your truly desires. And ONLY desires. Which means that you can't ask for anything else or else the truth will be known." I said, they all looked at me, "what? This pretty face could have some knowledge too," I huffed.
"So, this plan of yours..." Douxie perked up. "Well surely you'll need help." He says as he rubbed his neck.
"Maybe... Maybe we can fix this together."
"Agreed." Merlin said.
"I promise I can make it righ-" but he stopped mid sentence to process it.
"Wait, we are?" He asked
Merlin groaned, "You, mind the workshop." He tells past Douxie.
"You, gather up Excalibur." He told Douxie.
"We ride."
"Sounds like a quest!" Yelled Steve. I groaned just wanting to get back home.

(Y/n) POV-
"Chance to prove I'm an awesome knight, get a monster trophy, save the damsels, I'm in!" Steve yelled while we were in a cave. "Damn it Steve it's bad enough that I have to see myself, not just the reflection but in real life too, and she's here now in this boat. Now do you think I care? Also damsels? Maybe Claire and Jasmine are but this bitch right here rides solo." I said while I flare daggers into Jasmine while SHES HUGGING DOUXIE! She's lucky that I don't rip her head off her body.
But he moves away and came to me where I was watching the water hit the boat.
"Do you think Merlin's plan will work?" I asked.

"I messed up the timelines. We've run out of options, and my choices haven't exactly worked out lately." Douxie says while scratching the back of his neck. I did a small laugh but nothing to much.
"We can't make anymore mistakes. Well have to trust Merlin this time." Douxie says as Steve, Claire, and Jasmine... came to us.
"I just hope Jim made it out safe." Claire says with a worried tone.
"I'm sure he's nestled safely in the bosom of friendly Trolls." Douxie says making sure Claire won't worry.
"Ah eh eh. Bosom," Steve laughed childishly.

(Y/n) POV-
"I try to avoid water." Archie says while he's in Steve's back.
"Personal, I always packs a swimsuit." Steve says while looking at his booger.
"Extra-personally, it's actually my birthday suit." He says, then he eats his booger while Archie groaned and the rest of us cringed.
"Woah, it's a ship graveyard." Steve says looking around.
"We've arrived."
"The Lady of the Lake is real! I thought she was just a myth." Claire says while grabbing my hand to come with her.
"Oh, no, the Lady's very much real." Douxie says while that bitch leach is all up in my mans arms... "Claire hold me back before I kill a bitch. And he's not even doing anything to pry her off!" I whispered yelled. She saw that I was looking and sticked her tounge out at me. I gonna drown a bitch.
"Though, Merlins allowed to meets other her... till now." He says.
"Because her power is beyond your comprehension. It was from her mystic water I helped Arthur first retrieved Excalibur and unite the kingdom." Merlins says while I climbed the rocks to where was merlins at.
I dusted myself off cause no one likes a crusty bitch.
"Hisirdoux, the sword please." Merlin asked Hisirdoux. "Yeah! Quest, quest, quest, quest!" Steve chanted while Claire was ready and so was I.
"Watch the ship. I shall return shortly." Merlins states as he walked alone but Douxie didn't give him Excalibur.
"What? We have to wait in the car?" Asked Steve dissatisfied. "Only Jasmine could come," Merlin says while giving me a side smile for only for me to see. "What!? Collage dudes second girlfriend could go? And not us!?" Yelled Steve. I'm trying to keep my cool.
"But I thought we were doing this together." Douxie asked sadly.
"You should be thanking me. I got you out of Camelot. Arthur's unstable and the people are afraid." Merlins says going down the list.
"I thought you trusted me." Douxie says in disbelief.
"Ugh." Merlins sighed.
"I won't just sit here without making things right!" Douxie yelled.
"And I will not lose another apprentice!" Merlin shot back. The word apprentice echoed through the cave. Merlin grumbled and took the sword out of his hand, "Lady (Y/n) needs you. More then ever," I heard Merlin whisper to Douxie. Then walked.

"Lake's closed!" Said the rock. "None but the master Wizards hall pass. No amateurs. That's you." Said the other rock.
"Causa crepitose!" Douxie yelled as his magic hit the ground and up to the rocks.
The rocks chuckled, "Is that all you got punk?" Asked the first rock.
"Come on, get closer so I can bite your leg off!" Threaten the second one.
"Ugh! Merlins magic is so annoying." I said and sighed. "Well, if it weren't for your problems then I could have gone with Merlin," says Douxie turning to me. "Wait, my problems? I don't have any problems, besides that bitch Jasmine. She's my problem! Why didn't you move when she was all up on you!?" I yelled at him. I saw his face get all red with anger, "Because it feels good when SOMEONE gives me attention!" He shot back. I was in the verge of tears but my mom didn't raise no sissy bitch, " ATTENTION?! IVE BEEN GIVING YOUR ASS ATTENTION 25/8! I DON'T EVEN HAVE TIME FOR MY OWN MOM CAUSE YOUR RUNNING AROUND LIKE SOME COLLAGE FREAK FROM THE WIZARD WORLD! WE HAVE SEX EVERY DAMN DAY! SINCE WERE IN THE PAST DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE HAVE TO HAVE SEX ALL THE DAMN TIME CAUSE UR ADDICTED TO ALL YOUR LITTLE KINKS!" I yelled at him back not realizing that my powers are leaking out I almost shattered the whole cave. "Oops," I sages and saw Archie and Steve scared holding each other. "T-that's why J-Jim doesn't like to get (Y/n) mad anymore." Stutters Steve. I sighed and rushed to Claire. "Sorry Claire and you guys I didn't mean to scare you." I said in a hushsd voice for only Claire to hear. "Hey at least you stood up to him. That must count for something? Right?" Asked Claire as she hugged me. I nodded my head and hugged her back.
"(Y/n)..." I turned and say Douxie. "Yeah?"
"I don't..."
he sighed and looked at me in the eyes.
"No..." I said
"We should see each other anymore..." he finished his sentence and turned from me. "Why you greedy little bitch!" I yelled at him. He turned and looked at me. "I gave you everything! And you just drop me!? I was the best thing that ever happened to you! I remember that you were always desperate for girls to fawn over you, and I was the one that gave you a chance!? And this is how you repay me!? By dumping me in the past which is your fault for your bad driving skills! Screw you with a drill and eat ur damn heart out like the man whore you are!" I yelled while tears ran down my eyes. I was a blubbering mess.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
