《Returning Darkness(Trollhunters 2016 Fanfic)✔》I Must Speak with my Daughter

I couldn't remember much when I lost consciousness the moment I stopped my sentence. I awoke in the Janice Order head quarters, in a dark room, the only thing that was light was from my skin. Hot metal all over my burns to heal me, but my hunger and thirst was still there burning.
My strength was back, mostly, but I didn't care, I just want to be by my father's side and help him kill the Troll Hunter and find out who is the traitor in his army who killed me and Bular and failed to kill me.
Clutching the horn that was on the side of my belt. Taking it carefully from my belt, holding it in my hands, feeling the rough stone surface as I traced the curves and spikes in his horns.
"Bular, I will find our killer, I will give him to our father to know what he did, then I will kill the troll hunter for our father." placing the horn carefully to my forehead. "May you rest with mother." I spoke softly to his horn before placing it back onto my belt and walking out.
My father walking towards another room with blind Dictatious behind him. "Father," Bowing my head low, "My daughter," he spoke like he wasn't ashamed to have a daughter as his most lethal warrior.
The door he was waiting at opened, his growl left his throat as he entered the room the changelings bowing down to him, all but the one who brought the eye stone wore masks to hide their faces.
"This way my geyser, for centuries we have prepared for your return, we even created an exact replica of your throne, here sit.sit." those words brought my father's anger out, stepping back from behind him.

"I have sat long enough!" he yelled grabbing the closest changeling he could. "But my hunger" he took long sniffs of the changeling. "This place only smells of impures! Where is the place to eat!" my father demanded, "My lord I have made a tasty of something special that should re juice you," the changeling spoke, as my father sat on his throne with me at his side.
The changeling going to a box that had a banner covering something. Me and my father looked at it in shock. "Living heart stone!?" the changeling grabbed it beginning to bring it forth towards my father.
"What?!" Dictatious demanded "How did you acquire it?" everyone ignoring him as the changeling brought it forth. "Enjoy my lord you will need your strength," the changeling began to back away as my father began to absorb the heart stone. His blue cracks turning orange, as the stone began to glow bright. Quickly the stone turned gray and my father's face saying that he wanted more.
"I need more my taste is not enough!" my father demanded. "Of course the heart stone itself is within reach, a march on troll market at once." Dictatious advised. "We must not be so hasty unless we suffer the same fate as your reckless son." the changeling spoke. Growling deep staring at the impure.
My father raising his hand to silence me at once. "You dare speak ill of Bular?" Dictatious trying to sound tough in front of father, but I agreed with the blind troll. "Bular was impulsive, which nearly cost his twin's life." Father spoke like it was my brothers fault for my death.
"The risk in taking troll market when it could be handed to you" he offered. Dictatious cutting in "I wouldn't listen to the impure-" "Silence!" my father nearly roared. Leaning into his throne "You have my attention, Counsel, tell me how troll market will fall." father demanded.

As the impure began to speak, I began to zone out of the conversation. Standing tall, but playing the argument over in my head. Did father really think of Bular as impulsive, for him not being able to return the first time? Or did he blame his eldest child for killing his daughter when Bular thought that I was the troll hunter?
Grabbing Bular's horn at the side of my belt, feeling the stone once more as I acted like I was paying attention to the plans the impure was making, Dictatious arguing every so often with the changeling and wanting a different plan.
"Leave me. I must speak with my Daughter." Father's voice cut into my deep thoughts. Letting go of Bular's horn from my side looking at the changeling and the blind troll leave the room before I walked in front of my father.
I didn't say anything, but kept my head down. "What is the matter, Ladar?" he asked looking at me with his one good eye. "...did..did you really think of Bular as impulsive?" I asked still looking down at my toes. "his impulsiveness is what got you killed the first time." he spoke to me without anger or boredom in his voice. "It was the troll that was attacking us that killed-" "I thought you said the troll hunter killed you?" father asked standing up from his throne.
Clutching my brother's horn at my side again. "I-I don't know who exactly killed us, I think it was the troll hunter, but he didn't have his blade of daylight to kill us it was a normal sword then who ever killed us used our swords." I spoke clutching the horn at my side, almost wanting to break it.
"Is that Bular's?" he asked softly looking at the horn at my side. Carefully taking the horn from my belt and holding it out for my father to grab. He walked forward, grabbing the horn carefully looking at it.
His face showed hate, showed sadness. He held onto the horn, before walking forward, placing his forehead against mine. His eyes closed. Closing my eyes, taking in the scent of my father after so long. "Those centuries apart, I forgot how much I've missed you, my daughter. I miss Bular, but he made actions before thinking." he spoke softly.
"I've missed you too, father." wrapping my arms around him. Keeping our foreheads together as he embraced me back. This is what I've wanted for centuries. This was the moment I dreamed about when I thought father was close to freedom. He's here. My father is free and holding me in his arms.

Macabre Mim
*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

Errant
Amateur fighter Kestril only remembers two things about her mother's disappearance: a locket and the promise she made to keep her brother safe. That promise is all she thinks of when she jumps in front of a car to save her brother. She expects death, but instead wakes up to a looming clock tower, cobblestone streets, and dead soldiers wearing lockets just like her mother's. Kess's locket marks her as one of the Errant- people with control over dimensions and time, and the same people rumored to have captured her brother across the city. When a military group mistakes Kess for their enemy, she swears allegiance at gunpoint, hoping to search for her brother from within. Inside, Kess finds an even darker side of the city bent on killing the Errant-using any means necessary. When the murder of an important Errant soldier throws the city further into civil war, Kess uncovers a plot that could undo everything she's fought for so far. The only problem? Her brother is at the head of it. Trapped between her promise to her mother and her morals, Kess finds little use for her theatrical brawling of the past. She can only hope to find her brother before it's too late. || Update: 4/24/2022 Have decided to rewrite this novel, but will continue to post chapters of this draft, possibly with commentary.
