《W || J.H》33

The soft morning light was pouring all over the guest room, marking it warmly. I led my way with slow and dragged footsteps to the bathroom rubbing my eyes as I stumbled, yes stumbled, on my own foot as the first thing in the morning.
I still couldn't believe.
It was surreal.
Suddenly everything happened in those past 10 months flashed into my mind.
Hoseok... I thought as my lips automatically formed into a smile.
Today manger-nim would've brought me a new phone.
Somehow it sounded pretty funny yet scary. Well, it's not like he would've killed me or anything so...
I brushed my hair into a bun because, since they're waist-length, I hated them flying and smacking my face when it was windy.
I think the members had already gotten to work because earlier, in my half-sleepy state, I had heard noises. Not usual rustling or stuff. Like, literal screaming, running, laughing, shouting, knocking on the door and such.
Yea...let's say I couldn't sleep properly after that.
I twisted the door knob and was about to walk outside the room but stumbled.
Again. And this time fell.
Growls of pain escaped my mouth as I grabbed my left wrist.
Looking back on the thing that caused me to fall, I found a huge box.
It had a small sticky note attached.
It said 'Good morning cute little baby :) slept well? Oh I have something for you. Only for you though ;D idk I just hope you like it, have an awesome day~'
Getting really curious I turned my attention towards the box. Inside there was this plain dark green hoodie.
Huh? Who could've gifted me this? If he really wanted to give it why not face to face?
Rather than excited, I was quite confused and curious. My heart didn't race or anything, but I sure was extremely happy about the gift.
As I was walking to the dining room I noticed the dorm was very silent without the boys.
And there was sitting a man in his thirties with his phone in hand, I cleared my throat to not surprise him.
"Oh hey Jessie!" he cheerfully greeted. "Good morning!"

I nodded my head returning back his smile.
"Eat breakfast first and then we'll go out, kay?"
I nodded my head again.
I was thinking about random stuff when suddenly a devilish idea got inside my head.
Jessie you can sneak in their rooms now muahahah
I shook my head to throw out those thoughts and manager-nim saw me.
Well no, of course I would've never done that, or maybe...
So I thought he was actually about to ask me something when he opened his mouth.
"Jessie, the boys told me before leaving that they wanted to take you to shopping later when they come back"
My eyes grew wide from the shock.
What??? Whyyy???? When??? Omg
"And don't worry about having weird thoughts. It's normal" he added playfully making me blush blood red.
"Shall we leave?" he asked after insisting, and winning, on washing the dishes.
I just followed behind him to the front door and was putting on my shoes when just after opening the door cold wind brushed against us.
"Aigooo" manager-nim whined. "It's gonna rain"
But like it was sunny just a moment ago?
"Wait here I'll go get umbrellas" he said running back to who knows where.
The pleasing sound of the heavy rainfall surrounding everything was the best feeling ever. The humid atmosphere, faded shapes and the undescribable scent was enough to make me instantly happy.
"Yooo I'm back. Let's go" manager-nim exclaimed handing me an umbrella and flashing an welcoming smile, with his eyes crinkling then disappearing.
Let's say it was quite cute.
So we started walking down the street to the parking lot, I think, where he had put the car. At least that was what he told me.
The rainy asphalt was soaking my shoes but it was fine, I didn't really mind it unless for the fact that it was a little cold.
"Oh what an idiot. I haven't told you my name yet right? Heheheh sorry" manager-nim aplogized sitting inside the car while I was closing my umbrella.
"it's Seojoon. Nice to meet you"
'Don't worry about it' I wrote on a post-it and stuck it before him, while giving a reassuring smile.

"So we're going to this huuuugeee mall" Seojoon informed me, emphasising the 'huge' as the car started moving.
"You can, like, find everything there and" so he went on and on about how good quality stuff you could find in there and such.
At first I was listening but later slowly I got distracted while looking outside the window.
He wasn't so scary and not even cold, Seojoon was actually very easygoing and tolerant as a person.
As expected from Bangtan's manager.
"Ya ya Jessie" he suddenly called stopping at a red light, catching my attention.
"Hmm?"
"Oh it's nice to hear your voice once in a while" he himself laughed at the statement as I did the same.
"What phone did you have before?" his voice was aroused with excitement to express himself clearly.
'Samsung. Why?' I replied.
"Which one do you want now?"
'Anything is fine I don't mind it'
"But" Seojoon stopped at another red light, this time looking at me. "Don't be shy hahah you can tell me. It's okay".
I shook my head vigorously.
"No really anything is fine" he read leaning in as I was writing.
"But you MUST have a preference right?"
'Phones are phones Seojoon-hyung. They're all the same with the same functions, with some of them having few improved ones'
"Ugh" he groaned rubbing the back of his neck "you're a tough one aren't you?" then laughed.
"Ok ok I'm gonna choose for you, I just hope you don't mind that one being me instead of Hoseok ahahah"
I blushed hard again and strongly denied.
"Aww you're so cute" he complimented ruffling my hair.
We both got out of the car and the first thing I saw was this giant shopping mall, like is it for only rich people? Because I don't feel like getting in.
"See? I told you" he repeated seeing me wide eyed.
"Try to not get lost ok?" Seojoon recommended treating me like a kid.
Soon enough we reached a shop, even there he asked me a thousand times what I wanted but I kept firm on my decision so he told me to wait outide since he wanted it to be a surprise.
As I was standing there observing my surroundings, I noticed a bunch of guys staring and whispering something to each other while looking at me. They were wearing black and some had masks on. They were pretty suspicious.
Then the first thought that hit me was
What if they've figured out that I'm staying with BTS??? Omg no no it cannot be possible. What am I to do if it really is like that then-
Suddenly one of them was hesitantly walking in my direction, which I saw with my peripheral vision.
All I was wishing for in that moment was a miracle.
I hated when people approached to me for the first time. It was horrible. They'd always be horrified when I'd let them know that I couldn't speak.
Just in that moment, like a saviour Seojoon got out and hurried me away to somewhere while excitingly asking me to guess the model.
'I don't really know ahahah'
"Ok ok fine it's a tough guess yea" he kept walking.
"Jessie do you want to eat anything?"
I had to say Seojoon manager-nim was really taking great care of me, just like a father would and I was immensely grateful for the attention.
"You don't? Really? Aww ok then do you want to buy anything else?" he pouted making me laugh.
'No lol let's just go back home'
"Jiji aren't you even a little curious about the model???" he asked for the hundredth time, surprised at my carelessness.
'No lmao' I wrote giving him a face.
What an idiot who writes lmao in real life
"Okaaayyy" Seojoon obediently answered while entering a small cafe.
A pretty quiet one in an angle, I wonder why.
After we both had taken a sit, he received a phone call.
"Hello?... yea... oh yea she's here. Uh huh we're done... at the usual place.... ok then hurry up" he hung up, looking at me and grinning sheepishly.
"The boys will be here in like 5 minutes. Shall we wait?"

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

This is the story of a young Devil who is tired after forcing his way to the top, now he just wants to live a carefree life, eat many different types of food, and maybe look up the skirts of a few beautiful maidens? -DISCLAIMER- This is my first novel on any site, but please do NOT be gentle with reviews. If you think you even have the *tiniest* idea as to what could make the novel even a tad better, please do not hesitate to tell me. MC is very OP, apologies if you don't like that, it's just one of my preferences. Once I am experienced, I will most likely do weak to strong or fantasy style novels.
