:: chapter eleven ::
Dara was staring at him as he gently placed her down the bed, sitting. They were inside the camp’s clinic. She was biting her lips as she felt the corner of her eyes was starting to get watery. She felt terrible, she felt worst for making him worry. She was following her with her eyes as he placed a metal tray on the wooden side table. He sat down in front of her as their eyes met. Her tears crawled as guilt squeezed its way to her chest. She bit her lips wanting to stop from crying only to fail. ‘I-I’m sorry,’ she mumbled as she griped her shirt tightly. He slowly moved his hand as he gently wiped her tears.
Then he gently grabbed her hands and pulled her to him as he locked her in his arms. She then started sobbing as she buried her face on his chest. ‘Don’t be mad, I’m really sorry,’ she said between her sobs. He gently caressed her back and landed small kisses on her hair. ‘Ssshhh... It’s okay,’ he whispered, cooing her. ‘Just... just don’t do it again,’ he added together with a small sigh. Dara distanced herself from him with a faint smile on her lips. She chuckled a bit as she wiped her tears. ‘Promise,’ she said chuckling as he gently tucked her hair behind her ears.
Jiyong then gently grabbed the metal tray that was filled with cotton balls and all sorts of things he needed to tend her cuts. Dara was watching him carefully as he gently tended her cuts. She didn’t know he was good at doing such thing. She smiled, he was like an expert first aider. ‘How come you’re good at this?’ she asked smiling. Jiyong stared straight at her eyes as he gently placed the band aid. ‘I grew up in a family of doctors,’ he said as he stood up and grabbed the used cotton balls, placed it on the metal tray and threw it away as he proceeded to the cabinet and placed the things he used. ‘Must be great to be in such family,’ Dara smiled at him. He grabbed the bottle of antiseptic and stared at it for a while. He was turning it around as if he was reading the label. ‘No it’s not,’ he said weakly as he placed the antiseptic bottle on the cabinet. His eyes drifted to Dara who was currently lost of words. ‘In fact, it was never great,’ he said as he closed the cabinet.
There was a strange silence which started agglomerating the whole room. Dara stood up and gave him a tight back hug as he quickly turned around, grabbed her waist and lifted her to sit on the sink. ‘I was born and left alone, I was all alone my whole life. There was no one there for me, I got no one Dara,’ he whispered bitterly as his eyes still locked at her innocent and fascinating orbs. Dara can’t almost breath, she got nothing to say.
She was lost for words. He called her by her name. It was the first time he did that and she felt as if there were strange emotions filling her chest that she started breathing heavily. It felt as if it was the sweetest thing he had ever said. Then she couldn't almost believe that he opened up, for the first time he opened up to her. And she just felt special. Is it really possible to feel so happy just because he called her by her name? Is it possible to feel so many things just because of things he said about himself?

She smiled as she shook her head and leaned her forehead on his. ‘You’re not. I’m here and I’ll always be,’ she said as she fluttered her eyes closed with him doing the same thing. There was silence between them, the only thing they can hear was their breathing, and their heart pounding in their chest wanting to escape and be free. They could both feel their breath brushed on each other’s face as if they were breathing life to one another. And it was as if they have waited so long for this chance, for this moment, like they have been dreaming about this their whole life.
Jiyong then caressed her face as he slowly pulled her closer to him. Their lips touched as he started kissing her slowly, gently. He was tasting her and she was responding to his every move. It was sweet. It was gentle. It was blissful. It was everything. Dara pulled him more, as Jiyong started deepening the kiss with her responding to his every move. He doesn’t want to end the kiss if only he can breathe her kisses he would if only he could do that for the rest of his life he would. Then he slowly distanced himself from her as their foreheads leaned on each other. They were panting, gasping for air. She pulled him closer to her, much closer.
‘Don’t ever leave me, please,’ he said, pleading. It was crazy. He has always thought that he was born alone, he would live alone and die alone and unloved. He thought he would be forever barred with emotions, that no matter what happened all he would have was himself. He never thought that the day in which he will beg for someone to stay will arrived. He never thought of it. But then there he was holding her, begging her never to leave him for if she did that he knew he would never be able to take it. He was as good as dead, he will shatter to pieces.
She fluttered her eyes open, she stared at him as a smiled formed in her lips. ‘I will never leave you,’ she whispered as she pulled him more, closer. Jiyong opened his eyes and was welcomed by her smile and that moment he knew he just couldn't live without her. He just can’t have life without her. In snap, she became his everything, she became his world, his life, his success, his dream and he knew she had also became his downfall, his sweetest downfall.
...
Mr. Yang clapped his hands as he called for everyone’s attention. ‘Okay it’s time to know the cabin assignment and to know your roommate,’ he said with a smile. Chaerin raised her hand as Mr. Yang pointed her asking for her question. ‘Err, Sir what if we happened to be sharing the same cabin with a guy?’ she asked earning different reactions from the whole class. Mr. Yang chuckled. ‘Well then, it’s your lucky day,’ he said chuckling earning gasped from the girls and wild roars from the boys. Dara laughed a bit as she found everyone’s reactions amusing.
‘Let’s start with the class president first,’ he said. ‘What’s your cabin number Park?’ he asked as Dara stood up. ‘I got cabin seven,’ she said smiling as everyone started searching for her roommate. Jiyong raised his hand. ‘I got seven too,’ he casually said as Dara smiled at him. ‘Well, then’ Mr. Yang smiled teasingly at Jiyong who just rolled his eyes on his teacher. ‘Grab your things and head out to cabin number seven dear ones,’ he said as Dara bowed down to him. ‘Thank you sir,’ she said as she walked with Jiyong to get their things and head out to their cabin. After they left everyone were laughing giddily to themselves.

‘Their soulmates,’ Seung Ri said laughing. ‘Or maybe not,’ Chaerin said smirking as she made her key spin using her index finger. Seung Ri squinted his eyes on her knowing she probably did something. ‘What did you do?’ he asked suspiciously yet in a low tone of voice that only the two of them can hear. ‘I just played the role of a matchmaker,’ she smiled innocently while batting her lashes making Seung Ri almost throw up. ‘Lee,’ Mr. Yang called as both Chaerin and Seung Ri stood up. ‘Ahhmm, Lee Seunghyun your cabin number please,’ Mr. Yang asked making Chaerin grimaced.
‘I got number 13 sir,’ Seung Ri smiled as he turned around and started searching for his roommate. ‘How about you Chaerin?’ Mr. Yang asked. ’13,’ she answered flatly making Seung Ri gasped as he pointed her accusingly. ‘You did this on purpose!!’ he hissed. ‘Dream on rat,’ Chaerin retorted as she walked grabbing her things. ‘Yah!! I don’t wanna be your roommate! Or cabin mate! Oh whatever!!’ Seung Ri exclaimed as he stomped and grabbed his things. They then started bickering as they walked their way to their cabin.
Chaerin casted a small look on the cabin number seven and smiled. She then bit her lips to suppress her laughter. Jiyong and her traded keys in secret, so she was supposed to be Dara’s cabin mate and Seung Ri was supposed to be Jiyong’s. But in highschool everyone shares little secrets, don’t they?
...
Dara smiled as she saw their cabin. It was small yet spacious enough it got two beds both side with two pillows each, white sheets and blankets. It has a small table and a bathroom. She then dashed to one of the bed and lie down giggling. Jiyong then placed down their things as he paced to the bed and sat looking at her as she was rolling on the bed like a child, excited for just everything, for just anything. Dara smiled as she sat down and gave him a hug that they fell on the bed with her laughing.
Then they fell silent as they just lie down there, staring at each other as if they were talking using their eyes. Dara snuggled to him, wanting to feel his warmth that never failed to comfort her. He then wrapped his arm around her and pulled her as she was now on top of him, leaning on his chest feeling it moved up and down and hearing his thumping heart. Dara smiled as she stared at him, biting her lips. Jiyong stared at her for a while as he let go a hiss making Dara raised her brow.
‘Stop doing that,’ he said trying to calm himself. ‘Do what?’ she asked innocently. ‘Biting your lips,’ he answered making Dara’s lips formed an ‘o’. ‘Sorry,’ she mumbled as she buried her face to the crook of his neck as he started caressing her back. Then she started humming a song as she closed her eyes like she was trying to synchronize her hums with his breathing, with his heart that keeps on pounding. Then in seconds without noticing it she drifted to sleep on top of him, with him still caressing her back.
Upon making sure that she already fell asleep he then wrapped his arms around her as he closed his eyes. In reality he was still confused, he was still mystified on how just his world shifted upon her interference. She shifted everything, she turned him upside down. He couldn't hardly believe on how someone could just come to your life and just change everything, your perception, your dreams, and just everything about you. He couldn't comprehend on how someone could enter our life then she will just become the center of it, like she was the one making your world revolve.
He fluttered his eyes open and landed a small kiss on her hair. Fuck confusion, screw uncertainty. As long as she was in his arms, as long as her kisses belongs to him, as long as she was with him, smiling for him and laughing for him, everything doesn't need an answer nor explanation. Because he knew everything was in its right place, and that she belongs to him.
...
Dara was still giggling as she ate the marshmallow that she toasted on the campfire. She was happily listening as everyone just get animated and was telling equally weird and funny stories while she and Jiyong would just listen to them. Dara then rubbed her hands on her shoulder as the breeze blew. Jiyong then took his jacket off as he placed it on her. Dara smiled on him as he placed his arms on her shoulder and pulled her closer to him. He then leaned his head on Dara as his eyes locked on the camp fire and as he tried focusing on the one who was telling stories.
Jiyong glanced at his wrist watch and upon making sure that everyone were too engrossed at their singing and storytelling he stood up and pulled Dara with him as Dara just looked at him, confused, questioning. Jiyong lifted his hand and placed his index finger in front of his lips, signalling that she should not make any noise that will catch anyone’s attention. Dara covered her mouth as she nodded.
It was already nine in the evening and there they were walking their way to the camp’s small park. ‘What are we doing here?’ Dara chuckled as they arrived at the park. He didn’t answer all he did was walked away with Dara staring at him as he disappeared behind a tree, then came back with a bike, a white bicycle. Dara’s eyes grew wider as her lips curved into a beautiful smile. She met Jiyong who was half way to her. ‘Where did you get this?’ she asked excitedly. ‘From the care taker of this camp,’ he answered. She then giggled as she threw her arms around him. ‘Thank you,’ she whispered on him. He nodded.
Dara was laughing as she pedalled the bike with Jiyong supporting her. Jiyong was pushing her from behind while giving her pointers on how she should balance the bike. After almost hours of tutoring her Dara was able to pedal the bike on her own and she couldn't help not to be amazed as the wind touched her skin while she pedalled on the park with Jiyong looking at her. But Dara lost her balanced and fell on the ground. Jiyong rushed to her only to see her laughing. Jiyong sighed in relief and was a bit caught off guard as Dara threw her arms on him causing for them to fell on the ground. Then there was silence as Dara started sobbing while laughing. Jiyong caressed her back as they both sat down. They were not talking to each other but just staring at one another, like it was all enough. No need for words their eyes tell them everything.
Dara laughed as she tightly hugged Jiyong. ‘Seriously, stop spoiling me,’ she said laughing. Jiyong just wrapped his arms around her. He then distanced himself a bit as he tapped her nose. ‘You’re worth spoiling,’ he said as Dara smiled giddily. Jiyong then stood up and pulled her up as she started riding the bike again with him watching her under a starry sky. Jiyong placed his hand inside his pocket as he grabbed his newly bought digital camera. He turned it on and started taking pictures of her, her every laugh, every smile, every move. Then a smile formed unknowingly in his lips as he watched her who was happily riding the bike waving at him, calling his name and laughing.
He couldn't help not to think how she just shine in everything she do. He then started taking pictures of her without getting tired but instead craving for more.
Sandara Park’s To-Do List :)
1. Go to an AMUSEMENT PARK!!
2. To learn how to ride a BIKE!!
