Wanted to write Gosha and Yahya for a while now and I finally did!

Happy reading y'all~!

--------------------------------------------

"Remind me why we're going here again?"

"Because I want to introduce you to my grandson," Gosha answered in a monotone voice. "It's about time to tell him about us." He glanced sideways at the horse beside him as they continued to walk. Yahya was frowning, looking down at the ground, "Do you not want to do this?"

Yahya let out a deep sigh. He averted his gaze and rubbed the behind of his neck, "No, no. I'm just feeling..I don't know.."

Gosha didn't say anything in return, his face stayed neutral. He continued to walk in silence for a moment before finally replying, not without a tinge of disappointment in his voice, "We can always do this later, Yahya."

"No, it's fine," said Yahya. "I guess I just like where we are now and just.. don't want to do anything that could change it."

"Hm.." Gosha hummed in response. "I doubt telling Legosi would do anything big.. He's a good kid. He won't tell anyone."

Yahya sighed again, Gosha's answer did little in calming down the horse. Gosha already had to deal with so much throughout his life by being a komodo dragon, he didn't want to add him being with a herbivore into the plate. Society sucked at treating people in that kind of relationship.

But if Gosha wants to tell his family about them, Yahya can only say yes, albeit reluctantly, "I'll take your word for it."

"I hope you do."

As the two animals walked through the bustling afternoon city, Gosha led them toward their destination. After turning left and right, going through alleyways, they finally arrived.

"A cafe?" said Yahya as he eyed the building before him.

It was just a small cafe, there wasn't anything special about it compared to other cafes Yahya had seen. But even then, the place still gave a comfortable home-y feeling that anyone could enjoy in their visits here.

"Mhm, he owns it," Gosha stood beside Yahya, admiring the cafe that his grandson owns. "It's nothing grand, but I'm proud of him," He gave a warm smile, a wide smile that a parent would give when they're delighted about their child's success.

Yahya snorted. It was nice seeing his partner being so proud of his family, even if that family was the very same reason he left him behind so many years ago and had caused him to hold a grudge for so long. Thankfully he had let go and not dwell in the past anymore, now enjoying what he has now.

Yahya cocked his head to the cafe, "Let's go."

Gosha nodded and walked to the entrance. He put his hand on the handle and pushed it, hearing some chatter from inside the building when the door opened.

"C'mere you dumb wolf."

"Good afterno- !!" Gosha's breath got caught in his throat, his eyes widened at the sight in front of him and focused on the two animals at the counter, one of which was his lovely grandson while the other was a red deer he didn't know.

But what stood up to him was that Legosi was.. He was.. With the deer.. They were kis-

"-G-grandpa?!" Legosi pulled away from the deer to look at Gosha.

"Y- I- uh.." Gosha couldn't help but to continuously glance between Legosi and the deer. He also took the chance to quickly glance around the cafe, and it seemed like no other animals were there except them. "Hey.. Legosi.." He waved his hand slowly and gave an awkward smile.

"Guess this runs in the family huh," said Yahya as he eyed the two young animals.

The deer beside Legosi looked at Gosha in surprise, "Wait, grandpa ?!" He immediately straightened his posture and bowed respectfully, "Nice to meet you. My name is Louis."

"You mean Louis from the Horns Conglomerate?" asked Yahya.

Louis stood back up and adjusted his clothing, "Yes."

"Oh, well.. Nice to meet you too, Louis." Gosha eyed the deer from top to bottom, trying to see if there was anything weird or dangerous, but thankfully there wasn't anything of the sort. "Seems like you and Legosi are.. Pretty close."

Legosi's ears and tail drooped as he looked down in shame, "I was planning on telling you.."

"No no, it's fine," Gosha shook his head and put on a reassuring smile. He had first hoped for Legosi to be normal, unlike his grandpa. To fall in love with another female wolf and to live an easy life with his pure wolf family. But if this was the case instead, then the least he could do is support them along the way. "As long as you two are careful."

Legosi looked up at his grandpa with a surprise look on his face, "Y-you're not against it?!"

"Well.." Gosha gazed at Legosi softly, "We have something to tell you too."

"Here we go.." Yahya let out a deep sigh, "At least him being in the same situation will help."

"Huh?" Legosi cocked his head slightly, only just now noticing the unknown horse beside Gosha.

Gosha walked ahead to the stools at the counter, "Come, let's sit down." said Gosha as he sat down. "We can talk while we drink."

...

"So it runs in the family huh?"

"Louis!" Legosi exclaimed.

Yahya snorted, "Well he's not wrong. Just look at us. A horse with a komodo dragon and a wolf with a deer."

"See? Yahya gets it," said Louis.

"Alright you two, we get it. We're weird," said Gosha before drinking his coffee.

The four of them were now settled at the counter. Legosi was standing behind the counter and had served the other three, who were sitting on the stools on the other side, their drinks.

He also went and flipped the sign on the entrance so it now shows "We're Closed" to the outside. Might as well close the shop a bit earlier so they could talk freely, Legosi thought.

"I gotta say though.." Yahya leaned back slightly into a more relaxed posture on his stool. "Who knew your grandson would end up with a big shot?"

Legosi looked down bashfully from the comment.

Goshe chuckled, "Kinda the same thing with me, don't you think?"

"I guess you can say that," Yahya replied with a small smirk.

"Hm?" Legosi tilted his head. "What do you mean?"

"Oh nothing," Gosha waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it."

Legosi squinted at his grandpa. Guess that's something he needs to ask him later, that is if he would tell him in the first place. Maybe Yahya's someone popular?

"So.." Yahya glanced at Legosi and Louis. "Who's the top?"

" Pfffftt!! " Coffee sprayed from the komodo dragon's mouth, splashing the hot liquid on the counter. " *Cough* *Cough* Yahya!"

Yahya scoffed, "What? Aren't you curious?"

"B-but still! I doubt Legosi already.. Did it." Gosha fidgeted in his seat. "Besides.. They said they've only been together for a few months..so they probably.."

Louis cleared his throat awkwardly, trying to throw his nervousness away. And Legosi wasn't faring any better, he was sweating bullets. And none of these escaped the komodo dragon's inquisitive eyes.

"..No.. don't tell me..Legosi.."

Legosi averted his eyes from Gosha, "Sorry.."

"C'mon now, they're adults," said Yahya as he lifted his cup of coffee to his mouth.

"I know, I know. It's just hard imagining the little wolf I knew is now.. You know," Gosha sighed. "Were you at least careful?"

Louis answered in Legosi's stead, knowing that the wolf was too nervous to speak about things like these, "Don't worry, we took every precaution we could.." Louis paused to take a breath. "..And we know this kind of relationship between herbivores and carnivores can be dangerous, we've been careful up till now and we won't stop doing that."

Though Gosha's heart was still heavy with the thought that the once little innocent Legosi that he knew was not so innocent anymore, Louis' reassurance definitely helped him lift some of that weight.

"I see.." Gosha gave a small smile. "That's good then."

Yahya chuckled, "Don't worry so much Gosha, we can see they're being responsible."

"Well I can't help it.." Gosha looked down at his feet with a solemn look. "Legosi's the only family I have left.."

"Grandpa.."

"Aren't you missing one?" said Yahya as he furrowed his brows, sounding like he was offended.

Gosha rolled his eyes, "Of course you're included too now. And Louis too of course!" He gave the horse a side eye glance, "Jeez.. You can be quite a jealous horse sometime."

"Well sooorry for wanting to be considered a family."

"C-c'mon you two, there's no need to fight," Legosi tried to intervene.

Yahya sighed deeply, "Sorry, that was a bit uncalled for."

"It's fine Yahya," Gosha shook his head. "This is just some old man's bickering, nothing serious."

"Mm.." Yahya mumbled, taking another sip from his coffee.

Louis was sitting still in his seat, looking down into his reflection in his cup of coffee, his mind deep in thought because of the words from Gosha. He glanced at the wolf in front of him. Family.. that actually doesn't sound half bad.

"Anyway.." Gosha leaned forward on his elbows and rested his chin on his right hand. He gazed at Louis who was sitting to his right, "Why don't you tell us about yourself?"

Louis snapped out of his thoughts and straightened his pose nervously, "H-huh?"

Gosha's sharp eyes noticed Louis' reaction. He chuckled and gave a warm smile, "Don't worry, I'm not going to interrogate you or anything. I just want to get to know you."

Louis breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed his body, "Alright then."

...

"See you later Legosi!"

"See you later grandpa!"

Legosi picked up all of the cups and plates they used to clean them.

The four of them had talked for so long they didn't realize the sun had already set outside. It seemed like a good sign for the future to Legosi, if all of them can have a pleasant chat for so long.

"Meeting your grandpa was definitely something I didn't expect today," Louis hopped off the stool and put on his jacket. "Or I guess grandpas now."

Legosi finished all the cleaning and took off his apron, replacing it with his own jacket, "Grandpas huh.."

Louis walked out and held the door open, "I'm glad we were getting along though."

"Mhm," Legosi hummed in agreement as he followed the deer outside. He locked the door after he got out.

Louis walked ahead toward his parked car near the cafe and Legosi followed by his side. Louis huddled closer to the wolf, enjoying the warmth he gave him, "What do you want for tonight?"

Legosi closed his eyes and cocked his head to the side, "Hm.. I don't know.."

"That's not helpful Legosi," Louis huffed.

"I mean.. I'll eat anything if it's you who made it."

Louis smiled, "That's nice to hear dear, but it still doesn't answer my question." The deer let out a short sigh, "Let's just think it over in the car."

"Maybe I can try making something?"

Louis raised an eyebrow, "You?"

"Hey, I'm not that hopeless in the kitchen."

Louis chuckled, "We'll see."

...

Yahya looked up at the rising moon as he walked next to Gosha. The city was not filled with as many animals as it was before during the day. He glanced to his side to look at his partner.

Gosha was doing the same, gazing up at the bright moon above them. His jewel scales reflected the moonlight and gave him a beautiful dream-like shine, making him even more stunning than before. Yahya wished he could capture this moment forever.

"Other people would be weirded out from being stared so much, you know?"

"S-sorry.." Yahya averted his gaze immediately to something else, "Sharp as ever huh?"

"I didn't say I don't like it."

"You.." Yahya smirked. "Well you won't escape my view anytime soon, so don't worry about that."

Gosha chuckled, knowing how true Yahya's statement was, "I know."

The two continued to walk in silence, enjoying the calm and relaxing air in each other's presence. Yahya was again admiring Gosha and his scales in the moonlight, though this time openly as there was no point in hiding it from the sharp komodo dragon anymore.

It wasn't long after that Gosha suddenly felt something creep up on his hand, it felt like soft fur. He looked down to find Yahya's hand holding his. It was soft, warm, he wanted more but-

"Y-yahya what are you-?!" Gosha tried to pull away but was instead pulled closer by the horse.

"Shut," Yahya held Gosha's arm tighter.

Gosha glanced around in a panic, trying to see if any animals were nearby to see this, "But-!"

"I said shut. "

"..." Gosha went silent, it was a lost cause to argue when Yahya was like this. But then again, he didn't really want to. He liked the warm feelings of Yahya's hand on his. Yet he still couldn't shake the worry from his heart, he can't let anyone see this, Yahya could get ridiculed, he could-

Yahya looked down at his feet, "I don't want to keep it a secret anymore." He glanced at Gosha, "But.. I don't want others to have more reason to look down on you.."

Gosha shook his head, "But I don't care about that." He rubbed his nape, "I thought you wanted to because.. You didn't want people to see me with you, that you wanted to keep up your appearance. Knowing what you do.."

Yahya raised an eyebrow, "What? No! I don't care about any of that nor what other people think."

"Wait, t-then why did you tell me to keep it a secret?" The two of them had stopped walking at this point.

"Because I don't want me to be seen with you!" Yahya exclaimed. "You already have to deal with so much being a poisonous reptile.. I don't want to give society more ammo against you."

"But I just said I don't care about all that!"

"Then why did we keep us a secret this whole time? You don't care, I don't care."

"You tell me, It sounds like we did it for nothing!"

"..."

"Heh.."

The two broke into a fit of laughter, filling the quiet street with their boisterous voice. Neither of them cared if they were being too loud. It took quite a while before they were in a state to talk again.

"We're both idiots," Yahya was the first one to speak.

"You can say that again," Gosha gave a quiet chuckle, still not quite done with his laughing fit. "I don't know why I've been worried so much about this. Of course you'd think that."

"Same here, let's just do what we want from now on," Yahya offered his hand to Gosha with a smile. "Like old times?"

Gosha looked up, meeting the horse's gaze, and smiled back, "Like old times." He accepted his hand, enveloping it with his own.

"God, I wish I could kiss you.."

Gosha's eyes widened slightly, a bit surprised at the horse's bluntness, "Well, you can always do so on the cheek.." answered Gosha, though with a hint of disappointment in his voice. He wished he could do what Yahya had said as well.

"It's not enough.." Yahya sighed. "But it's the best we can get, so.."

"So.. what?"

Yahya leaned over and gave a peck on Gosha's cheek, "That."

...

"Shuffle a bit more to the right."

Gosha did as Yahya said. "Is this good?"

"Juuust a little bit more."

"Now?"

"Yeah, there we go," Yahya huffed. "God it's still cramped, you know I can easily rent us a better place right?"

Gosha turned to lie on his side, now facing Yahya, "But I like it this way, I don't want to live extravagantly."

"Can I at least get us a bigger bed?" Yahya grunted. "I don't mind your small apartment, but this bed is way too small."

Gosha smirked, "What? You don't like cuddling so close with me?"

"Oh you know what I meant," Yahya retorted. "I don't want to wake up on the floor again like last time."

Gosha chuckled heartily, "Okay, maybe we should get a bigger bed."

"Glad we're finally in an agreement."

The chatters between the two continued well into the night. Somewhere in the middle Yahya had closed his eyes and started falling asleep. He shifted into a more comfortable position, now lying on his side, his back facing Gosha.

His body started to feel heavier as he was falling asleep but it came to a halt when he felt something cold creeping up against his skin. He opened his eyes to see one of Gosha's arms over him, as if trying to hug him.

"S-sorry, did I wake you?"

"You did.." Yahya mumbled quietly in his half-asleep state. "But I'm glad you did."

Yahya slid back, meeting Gosha's chest with his back. He shivered slightly from the contact with his scales, but it didn't matter as long as he got to be close with him.

Gosha let out a quiet gasp. He hesitated, but seeing that the horse was not going away, he relented and did what he tried to do before, enveloping Yahya with his arm and keeping him as close as possible.
