Wanted to write Durguno after I got introduced to this ship and here it is!
Happy reading~!
--------------------------------------
Miguno followed Durham by his side as they strolled through the bustling city's street, the afternoon sun basking them in it's warm and gentle light. The other animals didn't pay them any mind as they walked together side by side.
Miguno took a glance at the coyote beside him. Durham was crossing his arms behind his head, looking completely relaxed and content.
"Hey.."
"Hm?" Durham cocked his head.
"Where are we going exactly?" Miguno turned his head toward the coyote "We've been walking for quite a while."
"Nowhere in particular really..." Durham answered. "I just.. wanted to enjoy the city with you, that's all," He said, his cheeks flushing slightly.
"Wow, Since when were you a romantic?"
"Ah shut up will ya?" the coyote's face reddened even more."I'm being genuine here."
Miguno chuckled, "I know, just joking with you." He offered his hand to Durham, "Here."
Durham raised an eyebrow, "What're you doing?"
"Oh You know what. Just take it will you?," Miguno scoffed. "Don't think I didn't notice your hand gravitating towards mine the whole walk."
"Wh- then why didn't you just go and hold my hand if you knew?" Durham asked, all flustered.
"I was waiting for you to go for it, you dope," said Miguno. "But I guess you weren't brave enough."
"I-I'm brave enough! Give me your hand!" Durham grabbed the hyena's hand and held it tightly. "See? I can hold your hand no problem!"
Miguno smirked, "Took you forever though."
"J-just shut up and let me enjoy this!" said Durham, blushing furiously. Happy that he managed to finally hold the hyena's hand.
"Sure sure, whatever makes you happy," Miguno replied, enjoying the warm feelings of the coyote's hand on his.
The two continued to hold hands as they walked around the city, interlocking their fingers, taking comfort in each other's presence. Everything around them felt so peaceful and just felt.. right. It was as if nothing could go wrong as long as they had each other by their side.
Durham glanced around their surroundings. He recognized the area and a place nearby came to his mind, "Hey Migs, wanna stop by somewhere?"
"Oh? Where?" Miguno tilted his head.
"Don't you recognize where we are?" Durham asked. "We're going to his cafe of course!"
Realization soon hit Miguno. His face lit up and his tail wagged, "Oh! Sure."
"Alright!" Durham let go of the hyena's hand. He stretched and bent down into a running position.
"What're you doing?"
"Getting ready," He grinned.
"For wha-"
"-The last one there has to wash the rest of this week's dishes!" Durham yelled as he took off running down the street as fast as he could.
"W-what?! Hey! No fair!" Miguno started running as well. He managed to catch up to the coyote despite his late start, "No.. *Huff* No way am I losing! It's supposed to be your turn this week anyway!"
"Well then win if you don't want to do it!" Durham stuck out his tongue mockingly and ran even faster, leaving the hyena behind.
Miguno laughed, "Jeez, that dork." He continued to ran and turned left, going through a different route from the coyote, "Good thing I know a shortcut."

Miguno stood alone in front of the cafe while looking at his watch. A shout came from his right.
"What?!"
The hyena looked to the source of the shout and saw Durham running towards him. The coyote finally reached him, he bent down and rested his hands on his knees to catch his breath, "H-how.. *Huff* How did you get here so fast?"
"A shortcut," Miguno smirked.
"What?" Durham swiped the sweat on his forehead away with his hand. "I didn't know there was a shortcut. That's unfair!"
"Well you got a head start," Miguno pointed his finger at the coyote. "So I say that makes us even."
"I.." Durham dropped his head in defeat and sighed. "I guess I'll wash the dishes then."
"You're the one that was supposed to do that in the first place you dolt," Miguno booped the coyote's nose.
"Yeah yeah I know," He swatted the hyena's hand away and walked to the cafe next to them. "Let's go in."
Durham opened the door and quickly glanced around the inside of the cafe. He smiled widely when his eyes fell onto the wolf behind the counter who was currently chatting with a deer, "Legosi!"
Durham's loud voice startled the wolf, "D-Durham?" His tail unconsciously started to wag. "And Miguno?"
"Heya Legosi!" Miguno appeared from behind the coyote.
The three couldn't contain their excitement anymore after seeing their old friends, they ran toward each other and hugged with all of their might. Their tails wagged uncontrollably behind them, endangering anyone or anything that dares to get close.
"It's been a while man! How've you been?" Durham asked, still grinning.
"Good," Legosi said, adjusting the glasses on his snout that got unbalanced from the hug. "How about you guys?"
"Great!" The two replied in unison.
Durham walked ahead and sat on one of the stools behind the counter, Miguno followed and sat next to him. Durham raised his hand, "Excuse me! We'd like to order please!"
Legosi smiled softly, "What do you guys want?"
"I don't want anything too strong.." said Miguno. "So Latte for me!"
"Hah, Weeeak!" Durham scoffed.
Miguno rolled his eyes, "Says the one who needs a thousand packs of sugar for a simple cup of coffee."
"Pfft, What? No I don't."
"Durham, we've been together since high school," Miguno stated matter of factly. "I know you can't handle coffee."
"W-What? You're just imagining it. I can handle anything!"
"Just get him an iced tea Legosi," Miguno said.
"Sure thing," Legosi nodded and began working on their drinks.
"Wh- but.." Durham wanted to protest, but he gave up and groaned. "Fine.. I don't like coffee anyway. Not because I can't handle it or anything."
"There we go, be more honest to yourself from now on, okay hon?" Miguno pecked the coyote on the cheek.
"Yeah yeah," Durham averted his gaze, his face reddening slightly, a bit embarrassed being treated like these in front of his friend.
The deer beside them stared curiously at the two of them, "So you two are Legosi's friend?"
"Hm?" Durham and Miguno looked at the deer. "Yeah, why?"
"Oh no reason," The deer glanced at the wolf briefly. "It's just I've never met any of Legosi's friends, that's all."

"Wait, a red deer.." Miguno squinted and eyed the deer up and down. "Are you Legosi's boyfriend? Louis?"
"Um.. Yes?" Louis answered hesitantly.
"You are?!" Miguno exclaimed. "So Jack was telling the truth."
"So this is your type huh, Legosi?" Durham stroked his chin as he checked out Louis. "Interesting.. You have good taste."
"But your taste is better hon," said Miguno.
"Of course it is. Legosi's boyfriend might be handsome but mine's way better."
"H-hey! Stop being so rude to Louis you guys!" Legosi placed their finished drinks on the counter. " Besides, Louis is better, " The wolf mumbled.
"What?" Durham heard the wolf's mumble and felt challenged. "No. Migs is better. He makes me breakfast full of love every morning."
"W-well Louis cares for me deeply!"
"Migs always makes me feel special!"
"Louis does that too!"
The two continued to bicker while their respective partner quietly enjoyed their drinks.
"Are they really trying to compare whose boyfriend is better?" Louis asked the hyena.
"Well Durham was always the competitive one," Miguno answered. "But it's making me happy, hearing him bragging about me."
"Heh, same here."
-----//
"Louis always looks so cute when he's sleeping."
"Migs too! And did you know that he's a cuddler? He always hugs me so tight~" Durham hugged himself to emphasize.
"I wish I could cuddle with Louis," Legosi's lips turned to a frown. "But it's hard with his antlers in the way."
"He can always be the big spoon! Maybe that can work." Durham suggested before sipping his tea. "Also here's another one, Migs always texts me that he misses me, even though we haven't met for only a day. He's so adorable."
Legosi chuckled softly and rebalanced his glasses, "I can see him doing that. He was always attached to you during high school."
The wolf and the coyote's argument had somehow drifted away from comparing who was better into talking about what they love about their partner.
"I'll kill that wolf," Louis said. His face was red from embarrassment. Sure, it was nice hearing the wolf talking about him in such an endearing way, but he was sharing a bit too much about themselves.
The hyena on the other hand was smiling to himself, amused at the two's antics, "These two.."
Miguno checked his watch to see the time, "Hey Durham." He called out, grabbing the coyote's shoulder.
"Hm?"
"It's almost 6, I think it's about time to go home."
"Really?" Durham looked at the clock on the wall. "Oh wow, you're right." He hopped off the stool and waved as he exited the cafe, "Well it was nice talking to ya Legosi! Let's go Migs!"
"Same here, come again anytime." Legosi waved back.
Miguno followed the coyote. His ears perked up when he heard a sudden whack from behind him, like someone getting punched.
"Ouch! What was that for?"
"That's what you get for saying all those things."
"B-but I said good things about you!"
"Doesn't make it less embarrassing you dumb wolf!"
Miguno giggled quietly at their little interaction. The two were still bickering when he exited the cafe. Durham was already outside waiting for the hyena. He smiled when he saw Miguno exited, "Alright, let's get going!" said Durham, grabbing the hyena's hand.
"Whoa!" Miguno's eyes widened in surprise.
"Hm? What's wrong?"
"N-no it's nothing," He answered, looking down at their hands, "It's just that you didn't hesitate like before."
"Oh what?" Durham smirked. " Are you the one getting embarrassed this time?"
"Nah, just surprised," Miguno answered nonchalantly.
"Hmph," The coyote pouted. "It wouldn't kill you to at least blush a little."
The hyena smiled smugly, "Well it'll take more than that."
"Oh, like when you're under me?" Durhan wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
Miguno's face reddened, "H-hey!"
"Hah, got ya!" This time the coyote was the one with the smug grin.
"Let's just go home now," Miguno walked ahead, dragging Durham by his hand.
"Alright Migs, if you say so," said Durham, still grinning.
-----//
"Ah~ home sweet home," Durham closed the door behind him after he and Murguno entered their apartment.
"Finally," Miguno hanged his jacket on the coat hanger. "My legs were getting tired ."
"Mhm," Durham hummed, taking off his shoes and putting them on the rack next to where Murguno put his.
"What do you want for dinner hon?" Miguno asked. "I'll cook it up in a minute."
Durham hugged the hyena gently from behind, nuzzling his neck, "I want you."
"Hey.. maybe after dinner?" Miguno patted the coyote's head.
Durham rested his head on the hyena's shoulder, he hugged him even tighter, "But I want you now."
"Jeez, you're such a kid," Miguno smiled. "We can do it after eating, I'm starving. You must be too."
"Fiiine.." Durham let go of the hyena and plopped down on the couch. "Party pooper."
"Oh shut it, you love my cooking."
The hyena went to the kitchen and began preparing, taking out the needed ingredients and tools. An appetizing aroma filled the room once he started cooking. Durham caught the smell not too long after. His tail wagged excitedly.
Durham stood up from the couch and walked toward the hyena in the kitchen, "Hey Migs.."
"Yeah?" said Miguno, his hands still busy.
"Can I help with anything?"
Miguno chuckled, "You being here is already helping me, hon."
"Hm?" Durham tilted his head. "How?"
"I get to cook for someone, someone I love." Miguno answered with a smile so warm it melted the coyote's heart. "That already gives me motivation to cook the best I can, with all my heart."
"O-oh.." Durham stuttered. He felt his heart squeezed and didn't know what to say.
Miguno chuckled again softly, "Sorry for getting all sappy there- oomph! " He was hit by a sudden force from behind.
Durham had his arm enveloped the hyena's waist, hugging him as tight as he could, "You really expect me to wait after saying all that?"
"C'mon, you really can't?"
"No," Durham buried his face in the hyena's neck, inhaling his scent as deep as he could.
"Heh, jeez.." Miguno turned off the stove and put everything away to the side, his movements a little restricted because of the coyote. "Guess we can just have a snack after and save this for breakfast."
"Good, now c'mere," Durham turned Miguno around so they were facing each other. He leaned forward and locked their lips together in a hurried and needy kiss, his hands roaming the hyena's back, pulling him closer.
The two broke apart to catch their breaths, "So eager~" said Miguno.
"Your fault."
"I know."

Apex Immortal: a LitRPG system rampage
"Across the multiverse where the contest for power is the only constant, only a handful have succeeded in reaching the ultimate heights of ascendency and gained the title Apex Immortal. Dominus is one of them, unsurpassed in overwhelming violence, feared across universes. Now, memories locked and stranded far away from everything he’d built, Dominus will face enemies that will challenge even his powers and discover that change is more difficult than destruction." I’ve been writing fiction on and off for the last decade and I’ve always wondered how a peak immortal (or an OP superhero) would single handedly conquer a world that mirrors our own in all of its complexity. As a politics nerd, this is my attempt at answering that question using Machiavelli’s “The Prince” as the primary playbook. The “monsters” are entire political systems with entrenched culture. Expect many versions of real world political systems (and cultures) to be on the hit list. The MC has to successfully institute regime and cultural change without engaging in wholesale genocide and causing the state to fail. Expect things to go wrong pretty quickly as escalating and cascading political and economic effects rapidly go out of control. Methods deployed are not for the faint hearted.
