《Blended (Beastars Cafe AU)》Louis and Legosi Sitting in The Tree~

Legosi flipped the sign on the entrance door, now showing the words 'We're closed' to the outside.
He took off his apron and put it aside before going to one of the mirrors in his cafe. He checked himself in front of it and readjusted everything he was wearing. Glasses, white shirt, black jeans. Everything was in order. He considered wearing his contact lenses, but they always irritated his eyes so he didn't bother.
*Bzzt*
Legosi's phone buzzed and he pulled it out. There was a message from his best friend, Jack.
GL on your date! I'm rooting for you👍!!
The wolf smiled and his finger started tapping his reply.
Thanks.
He was going to put his phone back before another message came through.
Tell me all about it later!
I want the deets
Legosi sighed, "Of course he does..."
Okay, I will.
His ears perked up when he heard a car noise outside. It sounded like it stopped in front of his cafe.
"It's him," Legosi's tail started wagging as he put his phone back into his pocket. He walked toward the door leading outside with hasty steps.
His heart beat harder and harder the closer he got to the door. He put his hand on the handle and took a deep breath before opening the door.
The moment he got outside, Legosi was greeted by a fancy black car parked in front of the cafe. Legosi was definitely not a car expert by any means, he doesn't even recognize what brand the car was. But he was sure that that car was expensive from the looks of it. Very, very expensive. Was Louis that rich?
The driver seat's window rolled down, revealing a familiar red deer that was sitting behind it. Louis leaned out of the window. He looked at the wolf and smiled smugly, "C'mon, get in."
"O-okay," Legosi walked around the car to the passenger seat and opened the door. He had to bend down quite a bit to get inside due to his large frame.
The wolf sat down, "Oh wow.."
As soon as he sat down, it felt as if the seat was sucking him in with how comfy it was.
"Comfortable?" Louis asked.
Legosi nodded, "Y-yeah, very," He looked around the inside of the car, everything looked so fancy to him. He didn't dare to touch any of it.
"Let's get going then," the deer turned on the GPS on the screen in between them and played a relaxing music on the radio before driving them out of the area.
The ride was silent, but neither of them felt awkward. Louis was focused on the road while occasionally glancing at Legosi, who was currently looking out the window. The wolf was watching the view of the city fly by as they drove to the cinema.
Legosi leaned in further into his seat and let out a content sigh. The calming music created a relaxing atmosphere in the car and Louis's presence comforted him. He tried his hardest to stay awake, but the wolf's eyes grew heavier and heavier. And before he knew it, he drifted off to sleep.
Louis smiled softly as he watched Legosi sleep. Was the wolf so comfortable around him that he can just fall asleep right then and there? Without a care in the world?
The thought made Louis's smile even wider.
He slowed the car down when they approached a red light. He glanced left and right, checking to see if anyone was looking their way. There was no one. He took this chance to pull out his phone and he aimed it at the sleeping wolf. The deer tried to get the best angle that he could before finally taking a picture.

Louis checked the picture he just took. Legosi looked so calm and content in the picture, he looked so...cute and adorable.
"This isn't enough," The deer aimed his phone at the wolf again, this time even closer. He wanted to make the most of this opportunity and take as many pictures as possible.
*Snap*
*Snap*
He managed to take two more before suddenly-
*Honk* *Honk*
-The car behind him honked. A very impatient and angry zebra was behind the wheel, gritting his teeth and glaring at the deer.
Louis glanced at the traffic light. It was green. He quickly put his phone back, almost dropping it in the process, and got back onto his seat. He stepped on the gas pedal and continued to drive them to their destination.
The deer sighed and laughed quietly at himself, "What is this wolf doing to me..."
Louis continued to drive until they arrived and parked his car.
Legosi stirred awake when the car stopped. He sat up straight and yawned. He rubbed his eyes before checking his surroundings slowly. It looked like they were in an underground parking area.
"Oh, you're awake! Good timing."
The wolf looked toward the voice coming from the driver seat. Louis was taking off his seatbelt, getting ready to get out of the car.
"Did.. did i fall asleep?"
Louis laughed softly, "You did. Now get up, we're here."
"O-okay" Legosi took off his own seatbelt and got out of the car clumsily, still half asleep. He stood there for a moment, slapping his cheeks to wake himself up.
"Let's go," Louis gestured at the wolf to follow him as he walked ahead.
Legosi followed him shortly after.
~~
"So, what're we watching?" Louis asked
"Oh, um.. I haven't picked yet."
"Wait really?"
Legosi nodded, "I thought we could pick the ones that are currently showing, since I don't know what you like to watch."
"You.. you could've just asked you know, before going here.."
"Oh yeah. Well too late for that now."
The deer pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, "You dumb wolf.. alright then, let's go and pick one."
~~
"Make sure to take the seats at the very back." Louis suggested.
"Huh, why?"
Louis pointed at his antlers and then at Legosi from his head to his feet and back
Legosi tilted his head and squinted his eyes, confused, until realization finally hit him, "Oh! Didn't think about that."
~~
"Let's get the extra large one," Louis said.
"E-extra Large? Would you even be able to eat that much popcorn Louis?"
"It's mostly for you Legosi, Jack told me you're a really big eater after all."
"I see.. thanks," Legosi said with a small smile.
Louis smiled back, "Anything for you."
Legosi's face went red, "O-oh! um.. uh.." He looked down, embarrassed, "T-thank you."
The deer chuckled, amused by the wolf's reaction.
~~
"Here's our seat Louis!" Legosi called out to the deer, his hands carrying an extra large sized bucket full of popcorn..
"I can hear you just fine Legosi.." Louis climbed more stairs before he finally reached his seat. Both of his hands were full, carrying drinks for both him and the wolf.
He sat down to the left of Legosi. The seats around them were empty. "Not many watchers around this time huh," Louis said to himself.
"That means we can get this area all to ourselves then and do whatever we want," Legosi chuckled.

The deer smirked, "What? Are you planning to do something.. dangerous to me while we're alone?"
"W-what!? No! Nononono," The wolf's face reddened and he shook his head so hard his glasses almost fell off. "W-Wait, that's not what I meant! I-I mean, I do want to, but- I can't- not here! I-I mean-"
Legosi covered his red face behind his hands and groaned, "Ugghh!"
Louis mouth quivered. He tried to suppress his laugh, but the wolf's reaction was just too much. He tried to contain his laughter by putting his hand over his mouth, "Pfft.. hehe..oh god"
"Stop laughing!" Legosi pleaded.
A few more muffled laughs escaped the deer's mouth before he could stop, "Heh..sorry, sorry.." His whole body felt light, like he doesn't need to worry about anything at all in that moment. He hasn't felt like this for.. longer than he liked to admit.
The two talked a bit more after Louis's little laughing fit before the lights around them turned off and the giant screen in front of them turned on.
"Oh! Looks like it's starting," Legosi leaned back on his seat and got comfortable for the movie with Louis doing the same next to him.
The two stopped talking as the movie started playing. In Louis's opinion, it was actually pretty good. The acting, the dialogues, and the story itself was better than the deer had expected. The movie also had a surprising amount of comedy in it, and almost all of the jokes landed. The deer couldn't help but laugh at some of them. Quietly of course, as he didn't want to bother the other watchers.
Legosi was laughing as well, though he wasn't holding back like the deer was. Every time the wolf laughed, all of the deer's attention always went from the movie to him instead. His laugh was so distracting to him. It was so genuine, cute, and comforting.
The further they went into the movie, the more Louis leaned into his seat and the heavier his eyelids grew. Guess the lack of sleep was finally catching up to him, the deer thought. Everything grew quiet as Louis closed his eyes and got more comfortable next to the wolf.
Legosi's left shoulder suddenly felt heavier than it was before. He looked to see what was causing it, "W-woah!" and was almost poked in the eyes by antlers.
Louis' head was leaning on Legosi's shoulder, his eyes closed. his breaths were slow and steady.
"L-Louis.." Legosi whispered to himself, taking in the view of the deer sleeping and using his shoulder as a pillow. The deer's face was so vulnerable and innocent. He felt his heart squeeze tight and he could feel his tail thumping the empty chair to his right.
The movie suddenly became less interesting to Legosi as he continued to watch Louis sleeping calmly next to him.
~~
"Nn.."
Everything suddenly became bright, but Louis kept his eyes closed and buried himself deeper into his pillow.
But then a large hand shook his shoulder lightly. A voice called out quietly from his right, "Hey.."
"Mmm.." Louis's brows furrowed as he swat away the hand that was shaking him. Suddenly He heard his pillow chuckling, and it reverberated throughout his whole body. Since when could pillows chuckle?
The hand came back to shake him, this time a little harder, "Wake up Louis, the movie's over.."
The deer grumbled and finally got up from his pillow, which turned out to be the wolf's shoulder. He opened his eyes slowly and was greeted by Legosi smiling sheepishly at him.
"Is... is it over already?" Louis asked, still half asleep.
The wolf scratched the back of his head awkwardly, "Yeah.. you slept through most of it actually."
"Oh.." the deer looked around his surroundings. There were only a few animals left that stayed after the movie. He then looked down and noticed the empty large bucket of popcorn in the wolf's hands. He rubbed his stomach, realizing that he hadn't eaten anything else other than a bit of that popcorn tonight.
"Hey," Louis looked at the wolf, meeting his eyes. "Are you still hungry?"
~~
"Sorry that I slept through it, but did you like the movie?" Louis asked before taking a bite out of his salad.
"Uh-huh, it was really good!" Legosi took a bite of his own food as well. "At least.. Until i noticed that you were asleep.."
Louis raised an eyebrow, "Oh? And why is that?"
"I.." Legosi paused and looked down, his face blushed slightly. "When I noticed you were sleeping, I.. I watched you instead, so I don't know what happened in the rest of the movie."
Louis chuckled, trying to hide the fact that his heart started to race because of the wolf's comment, "I guess I was more captivating than the movie."
Legosi nodded shyly and rubbed his nape, "Yeah, you looked really cute."
The fork going into the deer's mouth stopped, "O-oh" Louis's face went red fast. He didn't expect such a blunt compliment from the wolf.
He cleared his throat to calm down and to hide his flustered face, "I, I see.."
Legosi smirked, "You're blushing."
"Wh- Am not!"
"Yes you are!"
"I told you, I'm not!"
Legosi chuckled, "It's rare to catch you off guard like this Louis."
Louis's face reddened even further. He looked to the side and hid his face behind one of his hands, "S-shut up!"
The wolf laughed, it took a moment before he could say anything, "Sorry sorry.. are you mad?."
"I'm going to get you for this, I swear it," Louis grumbled.
"I'd like to see you try," Legosi said with a cheeky smile.
"Oh you're going to regret saying that."
"Uh-huh, sure," Legosi answered nonchalantly.
The two continued to bicker playfully before finally finishing their meal. They went back to Louis's car and got in.
"I'm driving you home." Louis said as he started the car.
"R-really? Thank you Louis."
"No problem, just tell me where it is."
Legosi told the deer his address. He then inputted it into the GPS and drove them out of the parking area and into the main road. They were silent throughout the ride before the wolf broke it.
"Thanks for everything today Louis, it was fun."
Louis smiled and glanced at Legosi as he drove the car, "Thank you too, it was fun for me as well." He paused for a moment, "And if you want to.. we can do this again sometime."
"Oh, um.." Legosi's face went red, he looked down to his feet. "S-sure.. I'd love to."
They grew into a comfortable silence for the rest of the way. The road was empty, but Louis purposely drove slower than needed. He wanted to stay with the wolf longer, even if it's just for a few more seconds.
The moment came sooner than both Legosi and Louis had hoped for, but they finally arrived at their destination. Louis stopped his car in front of Legosi's apartment building, "Here we are."
"Yeah.." Legosi's ears drooped and his mouth turned into a frown, he didn't want to part with the deer just yet.
He unbuckled his seatbelt reluctantly and opened the door to his right, "Thanks again for driving me home, Louis." But he only got his right foot out before Louis grabbed his left shoulder with his right hand. The touch was nothing significant, but it sent sparks throughout Legosi's whole body.
Legosi looked back to the deer, "L-Louis? What's- mmph!"
Louis leaned forward and his lips met with Legosi's.
The wolf's eyes widened as it happened, while the deer's stayed close. Louis's lips were soft, so soft. Legosi closed his eyes as well and leaned into the kiss eagerly, wanting more. Louis reciprocated, pulling the wolf closer.
As far as first kisses went, this has got to be the best one anyone could ever experience in Legosi's opinion. He could feel his whole body heating up immensely, his heart beating faster and faster. He didn't know a kiss would feel this good. He wanted more, he needed more, but his body reminded him that he needed to breathe if he wanted to continue doing this with the deer.
The two of them couldn't keep going anymore and broke apart to catch their breaths.
Louis gazed into Legosi's eyes and smiled smugly.
"I-I uh, um, I.." Legosi stammered, unable to form any coherent words. His face felt hot and his tail was wagging wildly behind him.
The deer chuckled. He put his hand on the wolf's chest and pushed him lightly out of the car, "Told you you were going to regret it."
"I-I.." Legosi stepped out of the car because of the push, his body was light and his mind blank.
Louis closed the door the wolf stepped out of and waved, "See you next time Legosi."
The wolf raised his hand slowly and waved back weakly, still unable to talk. He continued to stare at the car as it moved forward, growing smaller and smaller the farther it got from the wolf before finally disappearing.
Legosi touched his lips with his fingers, relieving the memory he just made with Louis a few moments ago. He smiled gleefully and his tail wagged even harder, sweeping the dirt from the ground under him.
