7 years later

"No it wasn't my fault. I will not apologise." Aiden, our 6 year old son was as stubborn as his father. He was Ethan's carbon copy right from his hair and eyes to his anger and attitude.

"Aiden, you hit Mike in the face. If this wasn't your fault then whose?" Ethan was getting frustrated. Aiden got in a fight at school and now straight up refused to apologise.

"Aiden George Carter you go and apologise to Mike right now or you're in big trouble." I said calmly.

"But mom-"

"No ifs and buts go!" I pat him on the back.

"Alright, I'll go!" He said with a pouty face and and got out of the car and marched down to Mike, a boy from his class. I followed him.

"I am sorry." I stared at him and then he sighed.

"I am really sorry for hitting you Mike." 

"It's okay Aiden. It was my fault I shouldn't have pushed Chloe to get into the line." Mike answered. I looked down at my son--so he was mad that someone pushed his sister in the line. Makes sense, ever since Ava and Asher's daughter, Chloe was born, Aiden and her were inseperable.

"Okay," They both shook hands and after we started walking I scooped up Aiden into my arms.

"Mommy, everyone in the school will see! Put me down!"

"No, mommy is proud of her baby. You deserve an ice cream."

"Really?"

"Yes but you gotta promise me something first."

"What?"

"No matter how worse the matter, violence is never the answer. I do not want to hear another complaint okay?"

"Okay." I kissed him on the cheeks and he wiped it. It was getting difficult as he got older. Thank god I still have my little Emma.Despite being just 3 she wasn't any less troublemaker than her big brother and again had Ethan's eyes.

I strapped in Aiden at the back beside Emma and sat at the front near Ethan.

"Did you apologise, buddy?" Ethan asked looking into the rearview mirror at Aiden. He had his sunglasses on and he looked as threatening as well as hot. Aiden pouted and looked out the window.

I chuckled, "Yes, he did. He even promised me that he won't do this from now onwards."

"Good." Ethan sighed.

"Ethan, I promised Aiden ice cream."

He just nodded and kept on driving before stopping in front of the shop.

"I'll get Emma." He said as he got out.

Of course he will. She was his little girl, always running to him. He didn't leave any stone unturned in spoiling her either. Even her first word was 'da da'.

I held Aiden's hand and we went into the ice cream shop.

"Dad this!" Emma said as she pointed on the poster with the big scoop.

"Okay, honey." Aiden was unable to see as he was jumping to catch a glimpse. Before I could hold him up, Ethan easily lifted him in his left arm.

"Thanks dad! I'll take the choco-vanilla swirl with rainbow sprinkles."

"You won't waste it?" Ethan asked.

"Nope."

"Alright kiddos, go grab a seat." He put them down as they merrily walked down to the nearby booth. Aiden was holding hands with Emma , both of them were trouble but loved each other so much.

Ethan put his arm around my waist ,"And what will my baby have?" Despite more than 7 years of marriage, he still had the ability to make me blush.

"I'll have the chocolate chip and then I have a special dessert for you at home." I winked at him and he just smirked.

We placed our orders and went to the seat. Ethan pecked me on the lips and all "Ewws and Ugghs" started from our children.

"Stop!" Emma exclaimed as she put her hands on her ears.

"You're so silly." Aiden said as he took her hands and put it on her eyes.

"Okay both of you we're done." I just sighed. "Alrighty, Emma. Here's your ice cream. Will you be able to eat it on your own or do you want me to feed you?"

She thought and then answered , "Own mommy." I passed her the bowl and sure enough she made a mess. Ethan took out his handkerchief and wiped both Aiden's and Emma's face.

We reached home and Emma was already asleep as I was going into her room Aiden stopped me.

"Uncle Liam left a message this morning. He will be coming here with Uncle Bernie and Aunty Ava and uncle Asher and Chloe..." He looked so adorable counting on his fingers to see who all were coming.

"Okay Aiden. Thanks for telling us. Now you should take a nap before they come here." Ethan said as he kissed his forehead. He just nodded and made his way to his room and I put down Emma.

I changed and finally found some time to read the novel in peace when Ethan came in and looked at me, I knew that expression.

"No way, I'm too tired."

"But the kids are napping." He whined like a baby."Plus you promised me a special dessert." He said with air quotes.

"How about tonight?"

"Fine." He dived headfirst into the pillow. I just chuckled. It was hard to believe he's the same man with whom I've built the biggest architectural firm of New York.He had followed his dreams and opened a smaller branch in his father's name to help with the projects that he initially wanted to. As for me I was finally able to find some time for my art and had a small gallery in mom's memory , which dad loved to look after.

After a while Ethan sidled up to me. "Whatcha reading?"

"Sense and sensibility."

He seemed disinterested and after a while he fell asleep.It was 3 in the afternoon he never took naps. Good for him , he's been working hard.

It was almost 6 and everyone except me was still "napping". I got ready, must be big news for everyone to be coming over.The concierge called informing me that they were riding up.

"Ethan, wake up. Everyone's almost here." He just groaned and put on a shirt.

I was setting up the table, it was hard keeping the house clean with two kids. Everyone walked in. Bernie and Liam had been dating for three years. After everything that went down with Bianca and Zach it was hard for him to move on. Thank god Bernie decided to come here and they met each other.

"Hi Aunty Sky, these are for you!" Chloe said as she held up a flower.

"Thank you baby. It's beautiful just like you." I said flicking her nose. She was the perfect mix of Asher and Ava and only 6 months younger than Aiden.I directed her to Aiden's room.

"Hi! What's the big news?"

As they all took a seat Ethan came and sat beside me.

"We're engaged!" Bernie and Liam stood up excitedly.

"Oh my god, congratulations you guys!" I hugged both of them.

And then, Emilia cleared her throat.

"I also have some news.",she said.

"You're pregnant!" Ava guessed.

"No! But I'm permanently moving to New York that too as the regional head for the company that I worked for in London!"

"This is such a good day." I said as I got up and hugged her. They were married for 2 years only , they had a long engagement due to work commitments and I was happy for them. 

It was late and I had just put Aiden down, the kid was a ball of energy. Ethan came in and laid Emma beside him.

"What are you doing?"

"She asked to be near him." Ethan just shrugged his shoulders. I shook my head , looking adoringly at my two little munchkins.

"They look so angelic. No one can tell that they cause so much ruckus when they're awake." Ethan whispered looking at them like they're his whole world.

"I know right. Like father like kids." He just narrowed his eyes at me and I managed to control my giggle so as not to wake them.

"Thank you for all this. Have I told you how much I love you today?"

"Nah. You forgot but I'll accept it." I said moving closer to him and keeping my hands on his chest , he pulled me closer.

"You think it's time for my dessert yet?"

"I think it is." I smirked and he carried me upto our room. 

This is all I could wish for.
