《One Big Happy Vampire Family》Chapter Twenty-Nine

When I woke up I didn't remember anything and I was happy for a split second but after I take a moment to look at everything around me it hits me like a train. Darius is sitting in a white chair like the ones in a dentist office and his hands and legs are strapped in by metal bars.
I go to stand up and help him but I realize that I'm sitting in a similar white chair but my arms and legs are strapped in by leather bands.
I take a deep breath and I look around the room for something that can help me but the only thing that's around us is a dirty plastic tarp and an empty metal tray.
I grunted and groaned as loud as I could but no one came into view for a good hour or so. When they did I was pissed, I wanted to scratch the vampire hunters eyes out.
The man who injected me walks over and sticks a needle filled with dark green stuff into Darius's neck and to say he was furious when he woke up would be an understatement.
Darius screamed and screamed as he tried to break free from the chair but nothing helped so he calmed himself down and turned to the vampire hunter.
"What do you want with me?" He asks clenching his fist as hard as he could.
"The correct wording would be us. There's two of you." The vampire hunter says as he pulls a few more syringes from the pouch he brought with him and setting them on the tray.
Darius looks over at me for a moment before turning back to the vampire hunter even angrier than he already was, "I SWEAR TO GOD I'M GOING FUCKING KILL YOU IF YOU LAY ONE HAND ON HER!"

The vampire hunter shrugs before picking up an empty syringe and walking over to me, "A needle isn't exactly a hand."
"Please don't.." I say trying to move my head away but it's practically useless because I have nowhere to go.
The vampire hunter sticks the needle in my arm before pulling blood out, "Sorry sweetie but your pleas don't matter to me."
The vampire hunter than walks over to Darius who's clenching his mouth shut and struggling to get out.
"Okay Darius, since I'm a fairly nice man, I'm gonna give you two options. Either you drink it or we find out what happens when we inject it into your bloodstream." The vampire hunter stays glancing back at me smiling.
Darius shakes his head and keeps his mouth shut so the vampire hunter begins grinning from ear to ear.
The vampire hunter takes the needle and jabs it into Darius's lower arm before chuckling, "Here's to hoping it kills you."
He then proceeds to inject it into Darius's arm.
Darius begins thrashing around and crying while his arm turned a shade of blue or purple, "MAKE IT STOP!! MAKE IT STOP!"
I close my eyes and I begin shaking as hard as humanly possible, "I"m sorry... I'm sorry...I'm sorry..."
I felt somewhat responsible. Darius is going through this because of me.
After a few minutes the screaming and crying stops so I open my eyes back up and I glance at him before I begin crying. Darius is lying in the chair wide-eyed and covered by purple and blue veins.
The vampire hunter walks over and pokes Darius in the face, "Damn, that's not really what I was hoping for. Now I need a new test subject."

The vampire hunter unlocks Darius's straps before throwing him in the corner of the room.
"Bring test subject two in!" The vampire hunter says glancing at me once more.
A few seconds later two men bring in a little girl who I instantly recognize.
"LET ABIGAIL GO!" I scream thrashing around harder than ever, "SHE'S JUST A LITTLE GIRL!!!!"
The vampire hunter shrugs as he straps her into the chair, "Well not technically, she may look like a little girl but rest assured she's older than everyone in this building combined."
Abigail looks at me with pleading eyes, not yet realizing Darius was lying on the floor dead.
I calm myself down, "Yeah yeah yeah, but you'd want an adult vampire to test on because a kids body is easier to kill. I could get you an adult vampire!"
"I want an old vampire and Abigail is old." The vampire hunter says picking up a new empty syringe from the metal tray.
"Mark Anthony! I'll get you Mark Anthony!!" I say as the vampire hunter begins to walk over to me with his crazy wicked grin.
Before the vampire hunter can say anything Darius gets off the ground, does a backflip, and lands on the vampire hunters shoulders before ripping the guys head from his body. To say the least, it was the most dramatic death I've ever seen.
"You were going give up my uncle?" Darius says turning to me.
"He gave me up." I say looking down in shame.
Darius sighs as he walks over and unlocks Abigail's cuffs, "That's no excuse Riley."
Abigail goes to walk over to me but Darius grabs her arm and pulls her back, "I want to unlock Riles!!"
Darius shakes his head, "No need too, we're leaving her here."
"What!?" I say pulling against my restraints, "Darius!! Please don't!!"
Darius grabs Abigail's hand, "Sorry Riley but there's no excuse for giving up on family."
"He's barely my family!!" I say looking at Abigail for support, "He's just my baby's dad!!"
Darius's face drops and he turns around, "Come on Abigail, hopefully, we can be home before dinner."
