A couple hours passed and the house was still extremely quiet so Mark Anthony and I were sitting in the living room watching some documentary about Platypuses.

Out of nowhere Mark Anthony looks down at me and asks, "Can I have a drop of your blood?"

"Sure." I say holding my hand up.

Mark Anthony is probably the only vampire I trust around my blood. He doesn't get all bloodlusty around it.

His fangs come out and he lightly bites my pointer finger which feels like a pinch. After my finger begins bleeding, Mark Anthony sticks my finger in his mouth. It sorta grosses me out because who knows what my hand tastes like.

After a few seconds, Mark Anthony drops my hand and he shivers, "That was terrible! Your blood is like acid!!"

I shrug lightly before looking at my finger expecting there to be blood and a small hole but there's nothing there, "You did bite my pointer finger right?"

Mark Anthony grabs my hand and turns it around gently, "Weird, the bite is gone."

Both Mark Anthony and I jump up when the front door is roughly thrown open and Daniel, Kendra, and Karen walk in carrying a limp Tyler.

"What did you do?!" I scream running to Tyler's side.

"Don't worry he's fine Riley," Daniel says setting him on the floor, "He'll wake up pretty soon."

"Why does he have blood all over him?!" I ask rubbing his cheek.

"Well long story short, vampire hunters were going after you but you weren't there so they killed the cat lady and tried killing Tyler but we got there first so I fed him my blood and he died shortly after so yeah he's gonna wake up a vampire."

What suspicious timing, I think to myself. The day Daniel takes me away, the vampire hunters show up?

Tyler gasps waking up so I launch into him and I hug him tightly. Tyler returns the hug as he begins crying.

"See? He's awake!" Daniel says in a snotty sarcastic tone of voice so I shoot him a dirty look.

Tyler pulls back but he doesn't let me go entirely, "I was so scared that they hurt you Riley!"

Mark Anthony walks towards the front door, "I'll be back. If he's gonna become a vampire he's gonna need human blood."

"Blood? Vampire? Riley, what is he talking about?" Tyler asks rubbing the tears away from his eyes.

"Well, you're in transition to become a vampire. If you don't get blood in the next forty-eight hours, you'll die." I say letting him go. I've seen one guy go through the transision so I know what the gist of it but I am not an expert.

I give Mark Anthony a small smile as he walks out the door and Tyler notices it but he doesn't say anything about it.

Daniel sighs helping Tyler up, "Tyler will come with me."

"Why can't he stay with me?" I ask standing up right after him.

Daniel shrugs, "He's gonna be hungry pretty soon and I don't exactly want him killing you by accident."

Tyler looks at me with pleading eyes so I turn to Daniel, "He wouldn't be able to drink my blood so he couldn't drain me."

Daniel shrugs before dragging Tyler towards the stairs, "That sounds like a you problem and not a me problem."

Even though Tyler resists, he's no match for Daniel's strength and he's soon forced upstairs against his will. There was nothing I could do for him either. I felt so useless.

It's my fault Tyler is going through this. Actually no it's not, it's Daniel's fault. Again! If he wouldn't have bit me this wouldn't have happened and the cat lady and Tyler would still be alive.

I sit down on the couch and I take a few deep breathes to calm myself down. Last time Daniel pissed me off, I basically told him to go fuck himself and left him. I don't want to leave Tyler and everyone this time because of him but that doesn't mean I can't be salty as shit to him.
