Nothing particularly interesting happened last night, we just fell asleep. When I woke up though, Tyler was already at work at his construction job so I got dressed in my tight blue skinny jeans, one of Tyler's sweater with nothing but a bra underneath and my black on black vans that I have been wearing since I ran away.

After I brushed my hair and said goodbye to the cat lady I went to walk out the door only to get the jump scare of my life by Daniel.

"Daniel." I say stepping back inside the house.

He rolls his eyes, "Riley, you don't have to go back inside, I'm not gonna hurt you."

A cat almost runs out so I step out and I close the door behind me, "I'm guessing you aren't here for the crazy cat lady I live with."

Daniel pulls the black backpack he's wearing off before handing it to me, "Nope, I just came to return this."

I instantly recognize the bag, I dropped it when Daniel attacked me. He didn't tell me he had it.

"Sureee Daniel, the day after Darius finds out I'm pregnant you show up on my doorstep to... return my bag?"

Daniel's jaw drops in genuine surprise, "You're pregnant? Darius just said he saw you and I remembered that I had your bag."

"Fuck," I groan setting my bag down on the small wooden stool next to the railing of the wood porch.

"Who's the dad?!" Daniel asks taking a step towards me.

Without even thinking I blurt out, "Tyler!"

"Who the fuck is Tyler?!" He screams at me.

"My baby daddy!" I scream back at him, "I just told you that!! Pay attention!!"

"Riley!!!" The cat lady yells from inside.

"Okay hold that thought." I say before grabbing my bag and heading inside.

"What's with all the screaming? Are you okay Riley?" Even though she's batshit crazy, she's actually a pretty nice lady.

I smile at her, "It's fine Miss Pierce, we'll try to keep our voices down."

I set my bag down on the couch before going back outside to find that Daniel left.

After a minute of sitting around, I decide to go visit Tyler on his lunch break. It's not because I'm bored, it's because I'm extremely bored. I've been so used to the excitement recently that everything seems boring in retrospect.

I spent almost twenty minutes walking to the closest bus stop only to find out it wouldn't arrive for another hour and a half. Saying I'm pissed was an understatement. I quite literally wanted to murder the first person I saw.

It didn't help that Daniel was the first person I saw.

"So you're stalking me again?!" I ask as I throw myself down on the bench.

Daniel shrugs as he sits down next to me, "Kind of, I need to bring you home with me."

"No." I shake my head at Daniel as I cross my arms over my chest, "Fuck you."

Daniel grips onto my arm tightly, "You act like you have a choice in the matter!"

"I'm not gonna leave Tyler."

Daniel stands, which pulls me up, "You know I can always kill Tyler and then your baby will be fatherless. So what would you rather do, come with me and Tyler lives or I kill Tyler and you still come with me."

I grit my teeth together before madly pulling my arm out his hand, "Fine I'll go with you but I need to be home before dinner."

Daniel grabs my arm again before he begins walking, "Yeah, you're not gonna be home for dinner... or breakfast. You might make it lunch but I doubt it."

Fuck, I'm gonna die. I'm never gonna know what the tiny thing in my belly is gonna become. What if he's the next president or what if he becomes a serial rapist or something like that!

I mean its father doesn't seem very murderous but he's a vampire and by definition, murderous!

Daniel flicks me on the forehead snapping me out of my thoughts, "We're here."

"What how?" I ask looking around at the house.

He shrugs, "I don't know you spaced out at some point."

"Are you gonna kill me?"

Daniel turns to me confused, "Why would I kill you?"

"I don't know! You tell me!" I say getting red to run even though I know it won't help.

Daniel grabs my arm again before dragging me through the yard and towards the house, "Don't worry, no one's gonna kill you."

"Than why am I here?" I ask planting my feet on the ground so that we stop.

"Because you're in danger," Daniel says forcibly moving me up the stairs of the house, "Some well-connected vampire hunters want your blood, somehow it got out that your blood is poisonous to us vampires."
