Over the few weeks that I got to know him, that guy and I became kinds of buddies (and I forgot his name along the way). For some reason, he had a private room in the nightclub. It was on the top floor and it had a big bay window that overlooked the dance floor. On the other side, it had a skylight so that one could peer up at the sky. The walls were very nicely insulated so that the music from outside was lowered to a nice volume for talking over.

It didn't have a bed or anything, but there were 2 white sofas around a glass coffee table that allowed one to watch the dance floor from the comfort of the suite. Under the skylight, there was a pool table that could have been flipped to be a regular table. It was.. a bit sparse, but cozy, nonetheless.

Somehow, this guy got a hold of this new craze called cocaine. Of course, Vigil wanted to try it out for himself. We're immortal. We can't die or anything, so what will it matter??

Normally, when I got in the room, I'd take a drink, sit back, relax, and close my eyes. I'd just relax there amongst blondie who was elsewhere in the room. I would let my consciousness slip further and further into the back to let Vigil forward. ...And then I'd continue to relax in the back while Vigil had his time in front.

Even though we hate each other, we do have a pretty nice coexistence. Where one lacks, the other seems to be strong. I don't care a lot about drugs or partying hard, but that's right up Vigil's alley and he's like a bull in a China cabinet when he's cooped up for too long. This is when I can let him out.

..Even so, I firmly believe Vigil is a hazard to us both. He's far too unstable and immature to govern himself in a respectable way. Then again, what should I expect of him? Not only is he a fucking idiot, but like I said, where one lacks, the other is strong.

We never agree on anything...
