Mike dials the girls room.
"Hi Carrie. Can you put Lisa on the phone please?"
Lisa answers, "Hello."
"I'd like a word with you in my room. Now!"
"Yes sir."
Lisa's pov
Oh oh, Mike's using his business voice. I bet he's mad about the grocery store. I walk slowly to his room trying to think of a way out of this. In the thirty seconds it takes to get there, I come up empty. I knock on the door, trepidatious to say the least. Normally Mike would have spanked me already for how I acted in the store. I hope he wasn't waiting til now just so he could save up energy and spank me harder.
"Come in."
I take a step over the threshold, technically entering. Mike's standing by his desk chair which is in the middle of the room (not a good sign), his arms crossed, his lips pressed together in a tight line. Shane is sitting in a chair by the bed.
"I want to talk to you about your behavior at the grocery store today." He takes a seat in the desk chair.
I gulp. My stomach does a few flips.
"Come here!"
I slowly approach him, fearing he's going to pull me over his knee when I get within reach.
Mike raises his eyebrow clearly warning me to quit stalling.
I start moving faster. When I get within reach, he grabs my arm as I feared, but he doesn't pull me over his lap, instead he holds my hands in his as I stand in front of him avoiding his disapproving gaze.
"Lisa, look at me when I'm speaking to you."
I lift my head, tears welling in my eyes.
"I'm sorry," I say, starting to cry. "I shouldn't have kept asking for the candy bar after you said no."

"I'm sorry too," he says, totally shocking me.
Wait, what did he say?
Mike sees the surprised look on my face and offers an explanation.
"I'm sorry I let you get away with such inappropriate behavior. "
Oh, not what I was hoping for in an apology.
"Your tantrum caused a scene, embarrassing Shane and I. You owe us an apology."
"I'm sorry," I say, looking at Mike. "I'm sorry Shane," I say, turning towards him.
"I'm not going to punish you now since the moment's passed. HOWEVER, I want to make it very clear to you that I will not ignore behavior like that again. There will be consequences and they will be swift and severe."
My sigh of relief upon hearing, I'm not going to punish you, is quickly replaced by a feeling of dread as my stomach sinks.
"Do you understand me?"
"Yes sir."
"From now on, Shane is going to be monitoring your behavior and your sisters' as well and he is going to hold me accountable for disciplining the four of you. You're going to find it nearly impossible to get another free pass."

Grinning Enigma
Freddy is a very bad boy. Meets some people that know what he did. He tries to escape punishment, makes it [Redacted]. Freddy might be a mass-murdering troll, but he isn’t a bad person, right? Right? Disclaimer: This is not an instruction manual. If you want to be a horrible human being, go figure it out yourself. Autopsy: Writing this story gave me some degree of insight into how much I've managed to fuck up my own personality by suppressing basic needs. Now I hate myself even more. It started as a story where the MC was supposed to be a blend of the NZ-land shooter and other cancerous personalities. That way I wouldn't feel bad about torturing him. Instead I ended up witnessing all the worst aspects of my own personality, or lack thereof. I'm a horrid person, I can't even bring myself to do what's the only right thing at this point.
