"I'm dying."
"What?" River yells and I flinch.
Alexis notices and gives him a stern look. "River, calm down. Let her explain."
River stares at me, wide eyed. "Are you kidding me? She's my wife and she's telling me she's freaking dying! I will most certainly not calm down!"
"Leader, with all due respect, she's our best friend. We're worried about her too." Sam interrupts.
Cody nods in agreement. "Yeah. Instead of freaking out, we should listen and help her, leader."
"Trust me, I'm going crazy right now. But it won't help her situation, whatever it is." Drake says and Alexis smiles at them. River gazes at them in thought.
"I just–" River's voice breaks as he looks at me. "Tell me you're not dying. Please."
I'll never forget how vulnerable and broken he looked at that moment.
"I'm sorry." I whisper and he falls to the ground in front of me. His head lays on my lap and his hands hold mine tightly.
I hear a quiet sniffle from him.
"We'll leave you two alone." Alexis mutters but River shakes his head.
"No." He says quietly. "All of you deserve to know what's happening to her."
They nod and sit around us. "Okay, Blair. Tell us everything." Alexis smiles reassuringly but the sadness in her voice doesn't go unnoticed.
I take a deep breath. "It started when I went on my first mission with River."
"Good. We gotta get moving. The target will be close at any second." He leads me down some corridors until we get to an alley.
River glances at his watch, "On three, we get him."
I nod, loading and aiming my weapon. He leans against the wall and I silently count in my head.

River pounces on the person exactly on time and they fall to the ground. I see a passerby, who looks extremely scared, and quickly shoot at them. It obviously wasn't a bullet. Just a little shot of an amnesia drug.
"I don't understand. What's causing you to die?" Cody asks and I sigh.
"I made a mistake. It wasn't the amnesia drug that I used. It was that new drug."
River raises an eyebrow at me. "Which one?"
"The one that releases chemicals into the body and eventually kills them." I answer and his eyes widen.
"Did you come in contact with it?" Alexis questions, concern evident in her eyes.
I nod solemnly. "Yes. When I was loading it."
"And just one touch is enough for an infection." River sighs shakily.
"Well, " Drake looks at me expectantly. "What are you doing about it?"
"I made the most intelligent person in our lab work on a cure. I didn't cause any suspicion because I tricked River into thinking it was only for safety measures."
I give River an apologetic look. He simply nods.
River rubs his temples, stressed. "Do they have anything yet?"
"They're close."
Sighs of relief echo in the room.
"But..." Alexis gulps. "How much time do you have left?"
My eyes avoid theirs, staring at the ground. "Um...about two months."
Sam and Alexis gasp while Cody begins to pace. Drake is frozen in spot with his food on the ground, long forgotten.
I hear River's breath hitch and he visibly pales.
"River..." I murmur but he doesn't seem to hear me. Alexis and the others silently leave us.
I touch his cheek and he gasps quietly.
"You..." He grumbles. "You might..."

"Shh, I'm here right now." I whisper soothingly as I caress his face. River closes his eyes and holds my hand.
He leans in. "I just don't want to lose you."
"Well, " I smile softly. "Maybe you won't."
His eyes open and he stares at me. As if he's seeing me for the first time. River gently plants a kiss on my palm and keeps it on his lips.
"I really need you."
"I need you too."
We stare at each other for a while before I sigh.
I open my arms, smiling. "Come here, you."
River grins and picks me up. He carries me to his room and lays me on his bed. I smile when he lays beside me but a bit further away.
"River." I chuckle. "Come closer. I'm not contagious, I checked."
"Okay, okay." He grins and gets a little closer. I roll my eyes and grab his collar, pulling him close enough that our bodies touch. His eyes widen while I smile, satisfied. River tenses at our proximity but I don't mind it.
"Much better." I mutter, my hands on his chest. After a minute, River sighs and slowly puts his arms around me. We lay in each other's arms in comfortable silence throughout the rest of the day and night.
We only spoke once.
River looks down at me, his eyes shining. "Thank you."
"For what?" I furrow my eyebrows and he smiles.
"For making me happy."
"Well, " I grin. "Thank you to you too."
River chuckles and slowly meets our lips. I put in all my love in that kiss, as does he. Because that's really all we have.
Love.

World After Calamity
Two hundred years ago, the Calamity occurred, an event which changed the terrain and climates of the world immensely, shifting continents and regions, developing new religions and altering life itself. The existence of magic and monsters was no longer able to be concealed, and until the Sage came and ended the Calamity, the world lived in chaos. Now, two hundred years later, two primary forces in the globe, united under a single government, oversee all magical and supernatural crime and disruptions, working from the shadows and in the light to ensure the safety of all. Something has upset the delicate balance the Sage created, however, and monsters sightings occur more and more frequently, and the signs of a second Calamity have begun to reveal themselves. At the same time, young superhumans begin training to fight against the forces causing this, to protect the mundane from monsters, and to ensure ancient artifacts are preserved and secured. This is the story of Team Lusvar, a unit of extraordinary superhumans, the world they live in, and the missions they're sent on and trials they face.

Demon Dungeon
It's a story about a demon that owns a dungeon. The dungeon has a core. The demon is a low-ranking member of an army. Expect a fun story, way too long chapters, and a mildly emotional demon.

Crossroads
On the continent of Khaan, a peculiar boy escapes from his hidden village to find a land to call home. Suppressed ambitions are unveiled as a head-strong princess defies the emperor. New kingdoms expand as the old decay. This is a story of those who lived in the times of change. Dear Reader, Thank you for stopping by! This is my first attempt at writing something of more substantial length and would be incredibly grateful to receive feedback and advice. The plan is to post at least a chapter a week and more if I find time. Also, in order to not disappoint any expectations; the story plays in a fictional world reminiscent of the real world 17th to 19th century with some supernatural elements, but no obvious magic or game-like system.

Heart of the World (LitRPG)
This is the story of how I stabbed a bear. Well... technically speaking, that became the moment my life went into a vastly different direction, all on my way to 'The Mission'. The one I had been given alongside two other seasoned players. To help people in a world with a world. But, oh hoh, that bear... Don't get me started on that. So, apart from that, here is the gist of the other part. I'm a year long employee. Though, several years before I became an employee of theirs, this crazy ensuing madness of a Full Dive battle royale between even more companies started to boil over to a breaking point. Mine thought to search for something that would truly blow the competition out of the water. Well, they found it. Deep under the sea actually. They called it a game changer. Rumors abounded of course. But the most common knowledge became that it was a power source unlike the world had ever seen. However, I can tell you now, the unknown sometimes bump back. Especially when experimenting on highly unknown elements. Still, years safely went by and thus I became a developer there. Now, what does any of this got to do with stabbing a bear? Well, ask them that! They started it all. I'm new remember! Though, chaos ensued, and well, I was there. It probably helped that I had proven myself a good fighter in game and that I had some knowledge that could help with the triplets. Oh, but my sister would box my ears if she ever realized how little time I spent learning what the other developers created in the game before I had to go in there on, 'The Mission.' So, this is a story of a mission to save the people in Realm of Ancients. Not those rookies! Oh no, that was just a precurser. AND THERE WAS THE BEAR! Sorry, I had trouble getting over it. But that specific moment changed things. -- -- Hi! This is a project I have started for the fun. This is not your typical comedy. Yes, I added quite a bit humour to the story, BUT as things go into the eye of the storm the character will face challenges that hits him down. So it is not comedy in every chapter. But what do they say, when you've hit bottom, only way to go is up! :D I am always open to suggestions that might take the story to new heights, so you all are welcome to discuss the story in the comments. Just remember the all important SPOILER tags. ;) -Omri - I'd truly appreciate if you rate the story and leave reviews as we go. ;)

HEIMDALLR
After his first life, Heimdallr felt he had lived a decent way; he wrote stories and lived a simple life, avoiding publicity and focused on promoting growth to the few who cherished his works. But after being reborn as Heimdallr Dagrsson, one of the many sons of Daesal's greatest warrior Dagr, he was put into a world devoid of wide-spread access to reading and writing. Instead, he was dropped into a world where fighting and death commonly reared their heads. Now, faced between his unsupported passion and his new life's innate talent and upbringing, he will have to find his new path. He will forge a new story that would make even himself dubious of whether or not it's fact or fable. HEIMDALLR is a story taking place in the setting created for another previous work of mine called KOBOLD. It follows a reincarnated person trying to wrestle between their old life and new life's wants and needs, all the while adapting to the situations that arise out of his control. Heimdallr starts out trying to survive and live a new life, all the while facing challenges and growth both fantastical and painfully real. Loosely inspired by Norse mythology and histories (names and some themes), spun into a fantasy, grit-rooted world. Skål! All content warning tags are applied so as to allow freedom of writing but there is no intent of excess or even regular use of these themes. Regardless of this, any and all uses will have dedicated warnings presented in the chapter whenever they are present! Reader beware!
