Blair's POV:

"Oh, sweet baby Jesus." I start to hyperventilate and Sam quickly comes by my side. She's in her sky blue bridesmaids dress while Cody and Drake are in their tuxedos.

She smiles at me, "Girl. Calm the hell down!"

"Yeah. Why are you so nervous?" Cody questions and I shoot him a glare.

"I'm getting married for Christ's sake! I have the right to be nervous, thank you very much." I huff angrily.

"You know what you need?" Drake pipes up, "Food."

"Shut up, Drake. Go sing some Hotline Bling or whatever." Sam rolls her eyes at him but he only shrugs in response.

I shake my head, "No. No, I think he's right."

Drake smirks smugly at Sam. "Of course I'm right. Here."

He throws a plastic bag of S'more Oreos at me and I sigh in relief.

"Bless your soul." I grin at him and he winks playfully. Cody eyes my Oreos, which makes me clutch it closer to myself.

Cody gives me his puppy dog eyes, "Please share! I love you!"

"Hell no. This is my wedding day. Which means I'm entitled to junk food without sharing with anyone."

"You have to share with your groom though." Sam gives me a sly smile.

I glare at her, "Well, he's not here right now."

"Good. Seeing the bride before the wedding will jinx it." Drake comments and I nod.

"I never knew you were superstitious." Samantha says to him and he smiles.

"I'm not. Just a few things here and there I find realistic enough."

"Oh."

I glance at myself in the mirror as they speak.

My anxiety begins to go sky high once again. Looks like food can only distract you for awhile until you gotta man up.

I stare at my reflection, my dress to be more specific. The dress is beautiful to say the least. I didn't want fancy or expensive. I wanted simple and artistic. And that's what I got.

Wow. I feel like a goddess.

"You look beautiful." Samantha smiles at me.

"No, come on, Sam. Let's be real. She looks enchanting!" Cody grins widely, making me chuckle.

"You both got it all wrong." Drake smiles the most genuine smile ever. Quietly, like it's a secret, he says, "Blair looks perfect."

"Aw!" I waddle over to him, trying not to trip on my dress. Once I get to him, I pull him into a tight embrace.

"Thank you, Drake. I love you with all of my heart." I kiss his cheek and he smiles. Cody pouts childishly while Sam crosses her arms.

"Come on, you idiots." I open my arms and all four of us hug for a few minutes.

"You know, I would love you more if you shared those Oreos." Cody hints.

"Nah, I'm good."

Cody sits back in his chair, slouching. "Fine. But only because it's your wedding day!"

"Wedding perks." I wiggle my eyebrows smugly. Sam looks behind me and smiles excitingly.

"Almost time!" She squeals quietly. I look at the clock behind me and my eyes widen.

"Oh shit." I mutter and Cody chuckles.

"I think you should go to the bathroom before you walk down the aisle." He grins and I slowly nod.

"Good idea." I murmur as I scurry to the bathroom inside the room. Sam follows after me, holding the end of my dress.

I quickly use the bathroom then wash my hands. My reflection once again distracts me.

I'm really doing this. I'm really getting married!

"Oh, sweet baby Jesus." I repeat as I put a hand over my chest, where my heart is.

Sam laughs, "Are you just realizing you're getting married?"

"How'd you know?"

"You keep staring at your dress and your eyes are as big as apples."

"Wow, you're so observant." I say and she raises an eyebrow at me when I turn around.

Pull yourself together!

"You okay, BA?"

"Hm?" I hum, glancing at her sideways.

She gives me a worried look, "I asked if you're okay."

"Oh, yeah." I nod vigorously, "I'm absolutely dandy!"

"Okay, first of all, you never say dandy. So you're definitely not 'dandy'. Plus you're sweating."

I wipe my neck, "You're hallucinating."

"I'm not, but are you?" Sam eyes me as I continue wiping.

"Course not."

Samantha suddenly grips my wrists, halting my wiping. She looks at me with all seriousness.

"Blair."

"Yes?"

"Calm. The. Hell. Down."

"Okay."

Both of her eyebrows rise at me, "Okay?"

"Okay."

She slowly lets go of my wrists. "Okay then."

"Stop saying okay!" I exclaim and she smiles at me.

"Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay."

I give her a flat look. "I hate you."

"Okay." Sam smirks as she leaves the bathroom. Rolling my eyes, I follow her.

"Better?" Cody teases and I smile.

"Much."

"Good, " Drake interrupts, "Your wedding is in fifteen minutes."

River's POV:

I eye my reflection, fixing my tie.

I keep fidgeting, trying to distract myself from the situation. Even though in a few minutes, I'll have to deal with it.

"Well, damn." Alexis drawls as she sashays in, "Gotta say, Riv. You look mighty fine in that suit."

"Alexis, why are you flirting with him on his wedding?" My dad asks her and she cringes.

"Ew, Uncle A. He's my cousin! Plus I got my eyes on someone else."

I smirk at her, "Alexis has a crush? Who's the poor guy?"

She glares at me, "Shut up before I make you."

"Oh, come on, Alexis! Tell me!"

Alexis pauses for a moment. "If I tell you... Can that be your wedding gift?"

"Fine." I groan and she grins.

"It's...Dylan O'Brien!"

"I hate you." I reply instantly and she laughs. My dad shakes his head at us.

"I was just loosening you up for your wedding. I'm pretty sure Blair wouldn't be too happy with a tense groom."

"Blair's groom." I repeat, my heartbeat accelerating.

Alexis gasps, "Are you seriously nervous? The River Ashmore, leader of The Blue Assassins, is nervous?"

"Yes. I am. I'm freaking dying over here." I confess, sitting on a chair, and I run a trembling hand through my hair.

"Son, don't be. This is a good thing. Not just for the organization but for you. It's obvious you two have a connection." My dad assures me and I nod.

"Yeah, River. You may not love her but I know you like her." Alexis winks, making me roll my eyes.

"I–"

She cuts me off, "Don't even try to deny it. You're getting married to her so there's no point."

"Fine, fine."

But their words didn't affect my heartbeat or my anxiety. I try untying and tying my shoes to calm down. My dad chuckling interrupts me.

"What?" I ask and he smiles.

"You remind me of myself when I was going to marry your mother."

"Ooh, story time!" Alexis sits beside me with enthusiasm and excitement.

"Well, I had to marry your mother. I've known her since I was young so I didn't think marrying her would be too bad." He starts with a happy smile, "But on the day of the wedding, I was so nervous. I thought my heart would jump out of chest at any given moment."

I feel that way right now.

"And when I watched her walk down the aisle, I felt like I was getting married to an angel." My dad sighs blissfully, "Happiest day of my life. But also the most nerve wracking."

Agreed.

"That's so cute." Alexis coos, making my dad smile.

"Do you miss her?" I question and he quirks an eyebrow at me.

"Of course I do! I miss her every day, every second, every breath I take I'm missing her."

I nod, "Yeah...I miss her too."

"I know you do. That's why you're getting married. You need another woman in your life."

"Yeah. I'm just your cousin. You need a girl you can really love." Alexis adds.

I take a deep breath and stand up. "You're right. I need this. I need Blair."

"Damn right you do." Alexis stands up with my dad. "Now get to your altar and marry your girl."

Third person POV:

She stares at the huge doors in front of her. They never looked so intimidating until now.

The all too familiar tune echoes through the building and into her heart, which is already out of control. Her two friends have already entered the room. She knows it's her cue but before she opens the doors, she takes a deep breath and puts on a smile. Then, all at once, she opens the doors and walks in.

Her eyes lock with his almost instantly and her smile widens on its own. She allows herself to fully look at him and had to admit, he's looking perfect.

He couldn't take his eyes off her. The only thought in his mind is how breathtakingly beautiful she is. So beautiful that he didn't think he deserved her. But as selfish as it might seem, he didn't care.

Every step she takes makes his heart beat stronger. And when she finally reaches him, he thought he might explode. As his father speaks, he gently takes her hands and smiles.

"My queen." He whispers, making her heart melt.

The moments passed so slowly for her. When they promised with a precious metal they would take care of each other and when his father confirmed the promise.

But when it came to the moment they had to seal the promise with an act of love, everything in her mind stopped. When he began to lean in, she couldn't help but pull him closer.

And there she realized... Her, Blair Ambrose, is now married to River Ashmore, her school crush and the leader of The Blue Assassins.
