《LOVELESS》Chapter 58

Yemi is lying down naked on top of Sam's body. She wakes up with a grin on her face, sitting up on Sam's stomach while he sleeps. Yemi's eyes travel down to his body, admiring his handsome face, shapely shoulders, bulging muscles, and chiseled abs and chest. Something she does every time she wakes up before him.

She slides down off of him, and removes herself from the bed. She goes to the bathroom to take care of her hygiene. 20 minutes later, she peeks out from the bathroom and sees Sam is still sleeping. She sneaks out of the bedroom, still nude, and enters the kitchen.

She goes into the refrigerator and pulls out a tray where the veggies are located, digging out a small cake box from a hidden spot.

She brings it out of the fridge and pulls a lighter out from a kitchen drawer. She opens the box to reveal a tall square individual cake with the words Happy Birthday Papi written on top. She lights the one candle that's already on it, and makes her way back to the room, holding the cake in front of her breasts.

She sits on the bed, right next to Sam. "Baby..."

"Baby..."

Sam is definitely a heavy sleeper. Yemi places the cake on top of the nightstand, and then sits backwards on top of Sam's stomach before licking his curved penis.

Sam slowly opens his eyes, and then smirks at the sight of Yemi's ass in front of him while giving him head.

"Damn, ma..." He moans as Yemi tongue kisses the head. She starts to suck on the shaft, enthusiastically, as she softly grinds against his stomach. Sam smacks one of her cheeks and Yemi continues to pleasure him while moaning. After a few minutes, Yemi starts to slow down and starts using her hand to stroke along with her mouth.

Not too long after, Sam begins to breath heavy, squeezing on her hips. Yemi starts sucking more intensely until she feels Sam about to climax. Then she suddenly stops.

"Yemi..." Sam warns.

She giggles before starting again. She sucks him until he's about to climax and then stops again. Sam groans as Yemi looks back at him with a smirk. She does the same process a couple more times before going all the way through, causing Sam to have a long and intense orgasm.

Sam's legs are shaky and his body is stuck in one position. Yemi turns her body to face him and kisses his lips. "Happy Birthday, my love." Sam can't even respond.

Yemi picks up the cake with the burning candle and brings it into Sam's view. She smiles, and then says, "make a wish before you blow out the candle."

Sam side-eyes her. "... Does it look like I can blow out a candle, right now?"

Yemi laughs, causing Sam to smile at her. "You be doing too much with that mouth."

"You know you like it."

"No. I love it," he admits, licking his lips at her.

Yemi kisses his lips again before sitting next to Sam on the bed.

He manages to sit up, while reading the words written on the cake. "Are you gonna sing Happy Birthday to me?"

"Sureeee." Yemi clears her throat, and then takes a deep breath. "Go shawty, it's your birthday. Go shawty, it's your birthday. We're gonna sip Barcardi like it's your birthday. And you know we don't give a fuck, 'cause it's your birthday," she raps to him, swaying her shoulders.

Sam laughs hard, causing Yemi to grin.

"What's your wish?"

"For you to marry me."

She gasps while Sam blows out the candle. "Sammmm. You weren't supposed to tell me. Now it won't come true."

Sam chuckles. "Then why'd you ask?"

"I didn't think it would be something that serious."

"Come here." Sam takes the cake from her with one hand, pulling her closer to him with the other. "You will be my wife. I promise you that."

Yemi blushes, and Sam kisses her with so much passion. Moments later, their lips part and they stare into each other's eyes.

"Thanks for the cake, ma. And for waking me up." He grins.

"...Anything for you, papi."

Sam squints at her, and then puts the cake on the bed. Yemi quickly jumps off the bed, laughing at his lustful eyes. "Why're you running? You know what you're doing when you call me that."

"Baby, we have to get ready. I still have to take you to your surprise."

"That can wait." Sam stands up, and grabs her waist, pulling her back to him.

"Later," she responds, giggling at him sucking on her neck.

He slips his finger inside of her wetness while picking her up with his other hand.

"Sammie," she whines, getting weaker and weaker at his touch.

"Hmm?"

"...Make it quick," she tells him, giving in to his seduction.

"Never that." He carries her to the wall and positions her legs for him to enter.

___

Detective Kennedy walks into the police building and is greeted by an officer.

"Just in time," the officer tells him.

"Anything?"

"She's sticking to her story."

The detective sighs. "That's alright. I just came back from questioning someone who was leaving the establishment that night. She remembers hearing one of the women yelling out some things that could help with the case."

"Oh, good. Was she able to describe the attacker?"

"Nope. She said she never looked back at the women. She just continued moving towards her car to leave the premises. By the time she was about to drive out the lot, that's when everyone started running away."

"Damn."

"Yeah, but I have a feeling I can get Mrs. Billmore to describe the attacker to me, herself." Detective Kennedy winks at him before walking down to the interrogation room.

He opens the door, and sees Briana pacing on the other end of the room. Briana stops in her tracks when her eyes meet with the detective's.

"You had no right to send someone to arrest me. You have no proof of any obstruction of justice."

"Sit down."

"No, you sit down."

"I've been very nice to you, Briana. But that ends right now."

"I don't give a fuck about you being nice to me or not. I will sue this whole fuckin' place for arresting me over some bullshit."

"I think you should use the money you think you're gonna use to sue me, to get your husband some help for his addiction."

"What did you just say?"

"Studies show that most addictions increase the risk of domestic abuse."

"Until you bring me my damn car, don't bring up my fuckin' husband."

"Speaking of your car... I know you didn't let anyone borrow it the night Angela was killed," he informs her.

"Here we fuckin' go." She plops down into the chair, folding her arms across her chest. "If you don't believe me... that's your fuckin' problem, not mine."

"Why would you want to sit here and lie, when you can help me find the person who attacked your cousin?"

"I WASN'T THEREEEEEEEE!"

"So, tell me... what was going through your mind when you were confronting Angela about sleeping with your boyfriend?"

Briana furrows her eyebrows with her eyes filled with confusion.

"Better yet, what was going through your mind when your boyfriend told you about Angela?"

Briana inhales, and then exhales in frustration. "Who told you that?"

"The same person who lied to you about Yemi trying to have sex with him."

Briana mean-mugs him. "... I can't stand you motherfuckers... always trying to intimidate someone, so you can falsely accuse them of something."

"And I can't stand when people don't have any remorse for their actions."

"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!"

"So it wasn't you who interrupted the argument your mother was having with Angela, right before you shoved Angela and accused her of trying to steal your man?"

Briana doesn't respond.

"You do know Jonathon lied about Angela, right? He never slept with her. But he did admit that he wished he would have."

Briana's legs start shaking, and her eyes begin to turn red.

"What's wrong? Are you getting upset because your husband controls you like a puppet?"

"Fuck you."

"Wait. So, that must be the reason you treated Yemi so badly when she lived with you then, huh? You were making her pay for what you thought Angela did."

"You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. The only time I yelled at Yemi was when she was talking shit about my husband."

"You really don't mess around when it comes to him, huh?" The detective smirks. "You would literally kill over him."

"I would never kill over him!"

"Oh, but you did."

"I did not!"

"Briana, I know you're afraid to go to prison, because you don't want to get your ass kicked in there. But if you-"

"Ain't nobody gonna kick my ass! I'm not afraid of anything."

"Just like you weren't afraid to kill your cousin Angela, right?"

"I didn't kill her! It was just a fuckin' fight!"

"That led her to the damn hospital!"

"It's not my fault she was fuckin' weak."

Detective Kennedy looks down at a notepad and pen on the table, and then slides it to Briana. "Write down every detail that happened that night. If you omit anything, I will make sure you get a max sentence as well as your mother, who helped you fight Angela."

"Detec-"

"Enough, already! You just admitted to what you did. Now get to writing." He walks out and slams the door behind him.

___

I'm in Yemi's truck as she drives us to wherever we're going for my surprise. My phone rings, and I look at it to see it's the detective calling. I silence it, deciding to call him back later. I'm not trying to ruin this day for Yemi. It's my birthday, but she's more excited about it than I am. I'm grateful for her looking out for me. I just haven't celebrated my birthday in years.

"Who was that?" She asks me, interrupting my thoughts.

"Someone working for me."

"Oh. Speaking of work... I think it's so nice of Will to come all the way up here just to watch over the gym while you're out."

"When I told him you had something planned for me, he couldn't believe I was actually allowing someone to celebrate me. That's what made him drive out here."

"Not even Veronica?"

"Not even Veronica, what?"

"You didn't allow Veronica to celebrate your birthday?"

"She would try to do shit, but I wouldn't really react to it. She even had me come to the nail shop just to surprise me with a stripper."

"What?" She does a double-take at me.

"I let the woman dance on me, but she was mad tight when I got on my phone answering emails and shit."

She chuckles while doing this breathing thing, as if she's in shock. "Sam, you were so rude to people."

I laugh. "I wasn't trying to be." Truth be told, I really wasn't trying to be an asshole to anyone. I just wanted people to not bother me. My mental was all fucked up.

"I know you weren't, babe. I guess Veronica was right when she told me you're just a big 'ol teddy bear."

"Has V told you anything about that Darryl guy?"

"Yes."

"What she say?"

"I'm not telling you, babe."

"Oh, it's like that?" I start rubbing on her thigh, hoping that would get her to talk.

"I don't care how good that feels, you're not going to get anything out of me." She looks at me and smiles before turning her attention back to the road.

It's probably a good thing she won't tell me anything. I'll probably end up flying my ass out there if she did. "I guess I gotta respect your loyalty."

"Uh huh."

I chuckle, admiring her beauty while she drives. "She text me this morning saying how happy she was that I had birthday plans with you."

"Yeah, she told me the same thing. She really loves you so much, Sam. I'm so glad that nothing got in the way of the bond y'all built over the years."

"There's nothing I wouldn't do for her, Yemi. I just wish I would've known how unhappy she was when she first moved out here."

"If it helps any, she told me you were worth the sacrifice."

I gotta make it a point to sit down and have a conversation with V. I want to know everything she felt when she got sent out here, so maybe I can make up for what my parents did.

"What are you thinking about?"

"...Life." I look out the window and notice some of the landmarks. I continue to check out the area until it dawns on me. "Yo, ain't this the way to the land I bought you?"

"Yes." She smiles at me.

"You must have a blanket and some food in that bag. We're gonna have lunch there or something?"

She stops smiling. "Damn Sam, you ruined it."

"Oh that was the surprise?"

"Yeah..." She pouts.

"Well, I don't know how you're going to set it up. So, it's still a surprise."

"It's definitely not a surprise anymore."

"Don't be like that, ma."

Moments later, we pull up to the street but I don't see the empty lot. "Did we pass it?"

"No, this is it."

I'm confused. I look at Yemi and then back out the window where a huge house sits on a dirt lot. Looking a little harder, I notice the house is not done, yet. "Wait..."

"Surprise!"

I look back at her, seeing her grin like a kid in a fuckin' candy store. "How did you afford to have a house built?"

She sucks her teeth. "You're worrying about the wrong things."

I laugh, because she definitely got that shit from me. "Alright, you got it."

"You like it?"

"Yeah, it's dope. When will it be done?"

"About two months."

"I'm happy you decided to build a house, but I hate that you're going to move out soon."

"You're going to move out, too."

"What?"

"This house is for both of us. This is your birthday gift."

"Are you serious?"

"Well, it's part of your birthday gift. We still have to eat lunch in the backyard."

"Yemi, you took the land that you own to build a house for you and me?"

She nods, smiling like a proud girlfriend. I keep staring at her, because I can't believe this is what she decided to do with the land. I notice her facial expression change as I'm thinking about this shit.

"You're not happy about it?"

"I just want to make sure this is what you really want to do. You could build your own business here, or something you can benefit from. I already have a place, ma. You should just build this house for you."

"What kind of sense does that make if we're going to end up getting married anyway?"

"How about you move into this house, and then rent it out when we get married. I'll buy us a house, and then you'll be making money from whoever you rent your house to."

"Sam, you are always buying me things. You're even paying for school, and you know how I feel about you spending too much money on me. I found a way to pay for this house, so for once I can buy something for us. And technically, I am benefiting from us having this house together, because I get to share every moment in it with you."

Wow. This is mad love, yo.

"So, you're not going to share the house with me?"

The most amazing woman I have ever met. "... I will."

"But do you want to?"

"I do. I just gotta get used to someone doing something this big for me."

"Now you know how I felt when we first met, and you took me in without any strings attached."

I smirk, remembering how she threw that money at me when I was on the balcony. We've come a very long way.

"You ready to go eat?" She asks me, opening her door.

"Wait, come here." I grab her face and kiss her hard. I slip my tongue inside her mouth, and start sucking on her tongue.

We eventually come up for air, and stare at each other. "I appreciate you making this day special for me."

"And I appreciate you for making me feel special every single day."

Those words mean a lot to me. She means a lot to me. I love that she loves me just as hard as I love her. I won't ever tell her this, but she got my ass whipped. I never knew I could be in love with someone the way I am with her.

Let me get out of my feelings. "Let's go eat." I hop out of the truck and go around to open the driver's door for her. I help her out, and she grabs the bag with the blanket in it before we start walking up to the house. "What kind of food you got in there?"

"It's a surprise."

"You better not have a ring in there, Yemi."

"Are you kidding me? That's your job."

I smile, happy to know she feels that way.

___

A FEW HOURS LATER

We're in the truck on our way back home when I decide to call the detective back.

"I got your message. I'm out with Yemi, right now for my birthday. Is the update anything that's going to put her in a bad mood? She's going to be mad if I ruin this day for her."

I feel Yemi look at me confused as I listen to the detective.

"Alright. How about we come up first thing tomorrow morning?"

I glance over at Yemi, knowing she's probably trying to figure out what's going on.

"Thanks. See you then." I end the call.

"What's going on?"

"What time is your class tomorrow?"

"10."

"Can you come to a meeting with me after?"

"Sure. What's it about?"

"I'll tell you, tomorrow."

"Sam..."

"Mamas, it's nothing to worry about. I'll tell you tomorrow."

She sighs. "...Fine."

Damn. I really hope it's not someone she knows.
