《Tooth And Claw || Kellic (mpreg) ✔》Chapter 35

We're all waiting on what Kyle has to say, waiting to hear every word of it. He has a way to be of help to us after all, and that's everything we could've asked for. But, whatever Kyle's going to say, will the Cematos believe him?
Looking over where Vic still has Gerard pinned to the ground, I force myself not to just run up to them and help Vic rip the vampire to shreds. After all, it'll be my pleasure to do that. Gerard wants my pups and every other hybrid in existence dead. And, I mean, it would make sense if he had something to do with when Emmett Quinn went psycho all those years ago, and then again with Kyle.
Kyle looks between us all nervously, before speaking. "At first, I had no recollection of why I was banished from my pack. And, when everything that happened came back to me, I thought I was imagining thing." He explains. "Turns out I wasn't imagining things."
I notice Johnnie walk over to Kyle and wrap an arm round Kyle's waist. He kisses Kyle's cheek, and urges him to continue.
"One night, I had went out for a walk, and some vampire stopped me. I don't know who he was at the time, but I later recognized him as Gerard." Kyle goes on. "I'm not sure what he did to me, I remember he gave me some type of liquid. I'm not sure what it was, but he made me drink it." He explains. "And, I was fine, till the next day, when I." He stops, sighing and looking down at the ground.
Looking over at the Cematos, I see that they're deep in thought, and Gerard was still pinned to the ground under Vic's paws. Vic had his lips drawn back in a snarl as he growled at Gerard as he tried to move out from under him.

"That does make sense, and I know of a potion that can turn even the sweetest of creatures into a raging monster, that'll destroy anything in their path." Brendon says, looking at Kyle, then to Gerard. "But, the effects of the potion, never wear off." He adds. "I mean, it stops after awhile, but there's always a risk that the one who drank the potion with snap, and destroy everything in their way."
Looking over at Kyle and Johnnie, I notice the both of them stiffen slightly. If the effects of the potion that Kyle took won't wear off, then, he is a danger, and would it be safe to have him around the pups? You never know, he might snap again and hurt or kill one of the pups.
"Gerard." Jared says, walking over to the vampire that was still on the ground under the paws of Vic. "Is what this hybrid said true?" He asks.
"So what if it's true or not?" Gerard asks, glaring at us all. "Every hybrid is an abomination to our kind!" He shouts, before knocking Vic down, and running at me, knocking me to the ground.
I try and push him off me, but he's too strong, and he's got his hands around my neck, trying to strangle me to death most likely. Slowly, my vision begins to grow dark, and it starts getting harder and harder to breath.
Till, suddenly, I only just notice a blur of brown and black fur, and I'm sitting up right, rubbing my throat as I gasp for air. I notice Vic running to my side, and he rubs the top of his head against my cheek, as he whimpers slightly, clearly worried about me.
"I-I'm fine V-Vic." I gasp out, standing up, with a little help from Vic, as he wraps his tail round my waist to keep me up straight.

Looking up at Vic, as he stands close to my side in his wolf form, I can't help but think how glad I am that I've got him back, and that he's not dead after all. I stroke a hand through his fur slightly, before turning to the three Cematos leaders, Jared, Patrick, and Brendon, who were watching as Gerard fought with Kyle.
It's pretty much obvious now that Gerard was the one who caused both Emmett Quinn, and then Kyle to both lose control and attack those villages. If he wasn't guilty for that, then he wouldn't exactly be acting like this now.
The others behind us have now moved around closer to us, forming a circle around the area, along with some of the other creatures who work for the Cematos, they were all watching on, as Gerard and Kyle fought in the middle of the circle.
Finally, Kyle has got Gerard pinned down underneath him, as he growls at him. I'm guessing that Kyle is possibly holding off from tearing the vampire to shreds right now, but honestly, if I were Kyle right now, I'd still rip him to shreds anyway.
"Jared." I say, catching the wolfs attention. "Hybrids aren't a danger, and they never will be." I say. "It was Gerard who made them lose control and attack those villages. Can't you see that?" I ask.
Jared's quiet for awhile, till he finally speaks. "Alright." He says. "We'll remove the rule from the code that all hybrids are to be terminated along with their parents." He decides, speaking up so everyone can hear him. "But, we'll be keeping a close eye on these hybrid pups, in case you're wrong." He adds.
I let out a sigh of relief, before turning to Vic and hugging him tightly. We did it! The rule has been removed from the code, our pups can live full and happy lives now, even if they are being watched for in case they somehow lose control.
But, all our happiness was short lived, as there was a loud yelp of pain, and what sounded like bones cracking, and a body crashing limply to the ground.
I pull away from Vic, and look around for the source of the sickening sound, and what I find next, is not what I was hoping would come from of all of this.
No blood was meant to be spilt from all of this. This wasn't meant to happen. All we came here to do, was to prove that hybrids aren't a danger, and get the rule that all hybrids are to be killed off the code. Not, this.
Blood wasn't meant to be spilt. It-it just shouldn't have been. There just was no need for to be spilt. But, it was anyway.

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
